i’m hoping for some drivers to speak out too - i saw lando liked the f1 account’s post but i need some actual showings of support please. lewis is too often on his own with these things.
i’m not a huge kelly fan but i did see she’s turned off her insta comments, we’re not our parents at the end of the day and she shouldn’t get hate for something he said.
I do think drivers need to 100% stand on an anti racism front here. Such language is despicable. If my own parent used it in a public setting I would equally stand firm in saying it has no place in modern life. Makes you wonder at what obstacles the Williams sisters, Tiger Woods and Lewis Hamilton in breaking into what are traditionally rich elite sports.

No she shouldn't but it wouldn't of taken much for her to call her father out on being a fool but then she may get her allowance cut off

i mean, she may have called him out privately. just because we haven’t seen it (and it’s not our business to), doesn’t mean she hasn’t. he’s her dad at the end of the day, and (in her situation) i would absolutely drag him in private but she doesn’t have to prove to us that she’s done so.
i think max probably keeps her in a fairly nice lifestyle to accommodate the loss of allowance
then i take absolutely everything i just said back and also apologise to @Lucia (who was completely right!)
i’d only seen her restrict her instagram comments, not the like - my sympathy is redacted. max doesn’t half have some toxic people in his life!
I really don’t get why people in Max’s life can’t move on from the British crash? Not saying it wasn’t an awful crash, but how many dumb, reckless crashes has he caused in his time?

Same here - I feel so angry. It’s disgusting. I have seen that Piquet will be banned if he doesn’t apologise to Lewis. He should be banned for those comments regardless.
He has form for being a snidey spitful man - homophobic remarks against Senna,calling Nigel Mansell’s wife weird etc etc. Add racism to the mix - easily most dishonourable F1 Champion ever.

Shame they can't strip people of that kinda title. Black people's voices are so small even Lewis who has millions of followers. White people need to make a stand against racism and people need to show zero tolerance. Until that day comes there will be more nasty remarks

Still not a patch on the $255m per year the UK rights cost Sky. Which is around one third of the entire F1 broadcast rights revenue. For 1m viewers per race in the UK.

Kelly is just as bad for liking that post. She was happy to fuel the situation after Silverstone last year but doesn’t like when the heat comes to her own front door.
Max keeps a lot of toxic people around him. He is young but surely he can see what the association with Jos, the Piquets etc is doing to him.
Red Bull have said they won’t comment on it and I can guarantee that’s the line Max will take in the presser this week.

Max has lived and breathed toxicity he is young but old enough to realise the difference between right and wrong. The F1 drivers took the knee to race as one yet here we are another act

i have a lot of feelings about max because i find him fascinating from a psychological standpoint (
) and based on that i don’t think he will ever break away from jos. the man was abusive and controlling, abandoned him in petrol stations when he lost races, made him race in the snow until his hands froze to the wheel…. he has been engineered to crave his dad’s approval, and i don’t think that’s an easy thing to overcome.it also doesn’t surprise me that he’s dating an older woman who’s a little controlling too - but agree he needs to break away from the piquets and maybe just date someone younger and loosen up a bit. i think you see the “real” him when he’s interacting with the other drivers, especially daniel. i wish he had someone around to get him out of that whole jos situation.
this sport has always done wrong by lewis, and most of the time he’s stood out there alone. i feel like seb has his back always but i really hope we see the other drivers more vocal this weekend. these general “these comments have no place in our sport” things just aren’t going to cut it, call piquet out! i wouldn’t blame lewis if he steps away after this season though.
