Totally understand why Mercedes are protesting and I agree masi handled the last lap awfully
But can they penalise max and effectively take away his championship because the FIA applied rules badly? That doesn’t seem fair either. I don’t know what a good outcome here is.

I'm here for Seb driving for Merc, but I just cannot see Lewis going like this. It wouldn't be very "on brand" and in his #stillwerise spirit. I think Merc will be loving the speculation though. Then it'll be all *insert Chris Pratt shocked GIF here* when he finally breaks his social media silence to announce how he's taken some time to focus his energies, etc.

This shows (if there was ever any doubt) that money talks in F1. I hope it goes ok for everyone's sake. I wonder if Seb was in Saudi what he would say about all this!

I think the conclusion of this season is that the stewarding and rules need more consistency and that the stewards are the same people throughout the year. Paid individuals to do the job

I can't see how there could ever be a calendar of more than 25 races as the absolute max. We already have many double headers, some triple headers. Add in the summer break and shutdown, testing and the necessary off season. The calendar already spans about 9 months of the year. It can't get much longer. And logistics will start to limit traveling from one race to another for more double/triple headers. There already needs to be a tightening of the calendar plan for logistics. Like break the season into continents/regions. So do all the Middle East together. Keep Europe together. North America together, Stop jumping to Canada mid-Europe.etc.

The new McLaren looks great, also love the race suits.

All these launches are making me so excited for lights out again in a few weeks!

Agree with the general thoughts about the season, underwhelming considering it was a "dramatized" view of F1 the races themselves were far more dramatic last season than Netflix could manage.

Yep- I almost feel like the season itself was so good that this season was always going to be a let down for me- I really wanted to see Pierre eating sausages, Lewis finding out who the phantom shitter was, the scenes in the Alfa garage when the Zhou news was leaked early, Kimi and the water system, inspector Seb… there were just too many things to count.
On top of that, after 2 seasons of RB no 2 drivers being dropped, would be good to see Checo’s induction into the team, plus Carlos at Ferrari, especially considering they covered Daniel’s first year at McLaren would have been an interesting comparison.
And… and… Brazil?!? Nothing about the Merc party engine.

There’s just so much I wish they’d covered

Another sponsor incoming for McLaren. There soon won't be any room for anymore stickers on the car. That or they will join the teams wanting the weight limit increased to handle all the extra sponsor stickers. 😆

Zak Brown is king of the deals. There can't be a team who has brought in as many new partners as McLaren has in the last few years?

If F1 wants to go to 30 races a season, you wouldn't be able to have calendar year seasons. It would have to become 18month super seasons.
