I mean I think we would all be astonished if bottas stays with Mercedes for 2022, would else would be in line for that seat? Struggling to think..
I don't think Hamilton would retire anytime soon. He is fit, fast, strong af. Only 36. If he stays 4 years, that is like forever in F1 carreer. George could be forgotten.
There were so many new comers in the last 2-3 years. It is so hard to get a good seat.

Yeah agreed. Most of the outstanding drivers in F2 are with Ferrari (who have a say in the ferrari, haas and alpha seats) and red bull academy.
On another note, will be interesting to see what happens with Gasly. He won’t be going back to Red Bull so I guess his time at alpha tauri is limited…?

Yes very true. Perez did only sign a 1 year deal so could in theory go back to Red Bull but maybe he fancies a change of team.

ngl it did cross my mind. Can you imagine hahahI would've thought depending on how long Alonso stays in F1 this time, Alpine would be an option so they can have two french drivers. But if Alonso stays for a few years Gasly needs to look for other seats.
He is strong. He recovered so well after RedBull. I hope he gets a good team.

I can only see one free seat at Williams (if George goes to merc), possibly two seats at Alfa romeo and maybe an alpha tauri for 2022?
