If it is a financial failure would they really go back? There are probably get out clauses in the contract.

Surely they will have to give refunds for last night. But with F1 you never know.
All they said was they were honouring tickets and food areas (this was before it went really late)

Heartbroken for my favourite Alex but George just threw him under the bus by saying Alex told him he thought Williams would be rubbish this weekend!

He's fully left them now, they had the option on him for this year but didn't use it, and Williams contracted him fully because RB didn't use the option.

I can't see Lando going to RB. He's declined them three times now, and renewed with McLaren instead.
I think Lando might have listened to Alex about RB and seen what's happened to others. He is number 1 at McLaren and they are doing pretty well so far after a poor start. He knows McLaren will do as much as possible to keep him happy. Oscar will be a good teammate and push him so the desire to improve and keep improving will push Lando all the way. Plus why would he want to leave?

Each 'car' has to sit out once over the course of the season. So Daniel's car is already covered by Nyck/Liam, but Yuki needs to sit out once.

I think individually teams decide based on driver preference. So Alpine for example - Jack Doohan is doing Mexico and Abu Dhabi, Pierre tends to do well in Mexico generally, Esteban teds to do well in Abu Dhabi. So they're sitting them out on each driver's stronger track hoping they'll need less practice.
Oh that’s interesting, thank you. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed Lewis sitting out an FP1 session but then I do only watch them occasionally

So where does he go? I don’t know how many options he might have post RB that he should seriously consider except maybe Audi?
I think he'll retire. A nice final fuck you to RB. 'You didn't want me, so good luck trying to find someone last minute fuckers'!

Red bull will give it to him though just for the positive PR and goodwill he gets

In reality Max is running away with it so fast they don’t even need the second car to win the constructors!
Depends if anyone else gets their car in order. Plus Daniel's fans will turn on RB if he's abysmal, they've already decided McLaren bullied him 😂

Perez has said he's only going to stay for 2024 if there's an 'environment where he can contribute' to spanish media apparently. I really do think a last minute retirement is on the cards, and they're going to have to find a last minute replacement.

I imagine it's both of them out at Sauber. Still think that other seat is Carlos' most likely landing spot once he accepts no big team is as interested as he thought they'd be.

Ollie Bearman is probably going into that Haas seat, and maybe we'll see Valtteri after the other one, though I think there's also potential for him to return to Williams.
I kind of want Valterri to retire. It can’t be fun limping around at the back when he used to fight for wins. Agree Carlos is in there so they’re both out of seats

I can’t see Max hanging around in a car at the back of the grid like Bottas is doing and Kimi did (to be honest I’m not sure I know why either of them have done it) If Red Bull do drop back I think he’ll be off
I’m also not sure he’d do another category like Indy or Formula E or become a pundit so I don’t know how he’d spend retirement

They won’t have any trouble with that - Ricciardo will bite their hand off!

I can’t see Perez getting a drive at another team
Yeah, but Ricciardo wasn't stellar in his two outings. Now there's a surgery with healing time in the mix, and two tracks he's not raced on upcoming.

Ricciardo will want the seat, but he's shown nothing that he's capable of surviving in it!

Apprently the issue they’re having is, pourchaire. He is an AR junior and because it looks like he might win, apparently this has stalled the contract for Zhou
theo isn’t ready imo. though, tbf, none of the current f2 generation look to be ready.

the stalling in zhou’s contract is really because all
the money his sponsors were supposed to bring to AR never materialised (or only a fraction of it did), and AR are allegedly pretty annoyed about that considering that the money is why he got promoted in the first place.
