They’ve been given a 10 year contract…. So whether they ever go back, I think they will but this is shambolic. All those fans who have paid stupid amounts of money.
And how can Fred be supportive when his driver has been screwed over by it?
Exactly. There's being pro some thing and then there are Toto and Fred. We all know both are highly opinionated and like you say for Fred to big up LV when his own car has been damaged through no fault of Sainz. Who's paying them to say these things?
---
If it is a financial failure would they really go back? There are probably get out clauses in the contract.

Surely they will have to give refunds for last night. But with F1 you never know.
But they didn't with Spa, although that was for the weather. This should have been detected at the signing off of the track or at the very least at the track inspection.

Danica’s a knobhead. The way she acted to the little girl on the kids broadcast basically crushing her dreams is some of the most socially unaware shit I’ve seen.

Even bigger knobheads though are Silverstone. Price of my usual grandstand is now up £160 compared to last year. Twats.
What did she say to the kids?

there is nothing red bull regret more at the moment than letting alex go tbh.

pierre was never the right fit but alex deserved more time and i think both marko and horner fully know that now. would be solving a lot of their problems anyway!
It would be terrible for both them and Alex if it didn’t work out for a second time though

I’m a big Alex fan so would hate for him to go back there and disappear into himself again like he did first time around

Their trouble is longer term really as I can’t ever see Yuki being right for RB and Liam obviously would need at least a season or two full time to prove himself

I mean, it's the right decision as Norris being in the gravel wasn't going to give him an advantage over the next lap, but it's wrong to not be consistent on this.

I do feel for Oscar having his first win tainted knowing it was handed to him not totally won on merit and I’ve no idea why Maclaren even did it with Lando being the title contender and knowing Max would likely drop more points post race, they would have got the same constructors points either way. You can’t strategise for every eventuality in a race and sometimes you just have to be cut throat. I was shouting Multi21 at the tele before they even mentioned it!😂
Yeh I don’t know why they pushed it so much. Let’s hope Lando doesn’t end up catching Max in the WDC and today’s result is irrelevant.

Is Carlis really going to Williams?
Nah I doubt it, imo it’s just his team leaking it to give him more time because apprently Audi wanted him to sign by the end of May. He’s waiting for that red bull seat imo because Checco is about to sign but hasn’t completed it yet

Do we think Esteban is hardest driver to manage? Sure he only heard the word position over the radio so didn’t realise what the team orders were.
He always seems to be getting into aggro with other drivers including his teammates.

Yeah I agree it'll be Zhou out, Audi will definitely want an experienced driver at the beginning, they can't risk it on a less seasoned driver.

Will this mean Nico will get his podium finally 😅

Why was Carlos’s engineer surprised he might want to chase down Lando for P3? Where is Ferraris fighting spirit in the garage?

So I read somewhere red bull still some ties to Alex? And they didn’t fully let him go? And they had to agree to the contract at Williams but I don’t know how legit that is
I think lando might get the red bull seat for 2025 despite the fact he’s locked in to McLaren for the end of that year.
For some reason I can see Alex being at Mercedes with George when Hamilton goes
But the end of 2024 is gonna be another silly season (I quite enjoy them ngl)
I wasn't sure about if he'd "fully left" the Red Bull team but he had apparently. But yeah in the future him and George at Mercs would be great. Maybe by that time Mercs would have git the arses back in the fast lane and all issues gone and red Bull might have had a few issues head their way 😉

but he’s not the first and won’t be the last driver to have an article like that written about him. and that headline is true, and he struggles to convert poles to wins in a way that only charles can match.

it does always interest me with lando how different the tone is when he’s interviewed post-race on sky (compared to say george or charles going for similarity aged drivers) where it’s always aw lando you’ll get it next time! don’t worry! whereas most others get well what went wrong there etc. he IS hard on himself, but no more or less than anyone else i would say. they all just manifest it in different ways and they all can’t dodge bad/honest press for it.
Oh of course they all get this kind of press and criticism and then questions about their ability (Checo, DR just this season) but Lando does seem more in his own head about that whereas other drivers just shrug that off. I think that’s why the pundits try and jolly him out of being in a mood over it. They definitely treat him differently to George over on Sky as well.
