I’m sorry to hear lots are struggling.
I’m having what I can only describe as a mental health crisis.
I feel so alone. Physically and alone in my thoughts and feelings. I haven’t spoken to another adult since Sunday. I’m still in bed. I have eaten and took my meds.
I wanted to quit social media and I deleted a lot of people who I cannot consider friends. Nobody reaches out. Nobody calls or checks in with me. It’s a depressing fact that I have nobody and a huge reflection on how my future will be. Lonely and alone.
I’ve tried. I’ve tried so bleeping hard to improve myself. At work, I wanted to volunteer in a role for community events. I thought it would open me up to being outside my comfort zone, reaching to people and connecting through events and campaigns. They were openly looking for volunteers. I put myself forward. I asked my managers and put the word out. Clearly they don’t want me. I’m not good enough. I decided to enrol on a part time college course to boost my employability and to gain skills in my current role.
I joined a local group and nobody contacts me. I feel like an outsider.
I reached out to someone about how I was feeling. They didn’t respond. When they confided in me, I called them. I checked in. Made sure everything was OK.
sometimes, during the lowest moments I wonder why stay. What’s the point.
I posted about how I was feeling. Last night. Pity me post. Nobody responded or checked in. How are you supposed to feel when nobody cares?
I need to see a GP. I tried but couldn’t get a GP appointment. I worry I have BPD. I’ve been reading a lot of mental illness and it fits. I have struggled with SH in the past.
there is something going on behind the scenes too. Too much but yeah, not sure what to do and how to move forward.
also, with work. Can I call in sick and self certify for seven days but I’ll need a sick note for past seven days… is that correct? I cannot face work at the moment.

I hear what you are saying, and I see aspects of myself in your post , so I don't want to read and run.
Can you call 111 and get an appointment that way?

I’m sorry you’re feeling so alone. I don’t want to read and not respond - I do feel for you. I’ve had times I felt rejected (found my whole NCT group had been meeting up without me when I took my toddler to a local park!)

Autism in women has a lot of overlapping symptoms with BPD so it’s difficult to self-diagnose.

I hope you find people IRL you can be close to but until then you can always post here. Xx

I had this with my baby group. It hurt at the time but years later I realise they led by the witch of the group and I was better off without the judgy lot.

@Good Egg Does your work have an employee assistance program? I used mine once. I was able to speak to someone straight away on the phone and she set up 6 further counselling sessions with a local therapist, all free and completely confidential. It was a lifesaver at the time.

You can also refer yourself for NHS counselling: https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/mental-health-services/find-nhs-talking-therapies/ They usually have an option for immediate support if you need someone to talk to now and can arrange longer term support.

I know it's hard. I hated asking for assistance, and I barely had the strength to get through the sessions, but it really did help in the end. x

I’m really sorry you’re feeling so awful. I agree with others here that it would probably benefit you to speak to someone. Definitely take some sick leave if you can to give you some space. Thinking of you and we care on here about you. We see you and we hear you - always reach out to us on here xxxx

Hope you're feeling a little better. Social media has a lot to answer for in bringing out the worst self-absorbed and ignorant-of-others traits in people. Please don't think that you're the problem, it almost certainly won't be you or not being good enough. If your GP is busy, do you have a local walk in centre you can attend?

I promise it will get better eventually xxx

I do think about my mum every day but it’s not that unbearable grief.

I really get how you feel. Don’t worry if your sister doesn’t understand. I hope you have other people you can be open to about how you feel and I hope there is someone who will listen when you want to talk about your Mum. I find talking helps and I hope that you always come back to this thread if there is something you want to offload. It’s heartbreaking. Sending all the hugs in the world xx

Thank you. I know this sounds awful but I don’t have many people to talk to about mum, she was recently retired due to medical issues so she was home all day every day and I’m a stay at home mum for now so I had all the time to talk to her, other family members have their own jobs and things so while my mum loved us all equally I feel like no one spoke to her as much as me. I honestly just feel like one conversation with mum and I’d be okay 💔

I honestly hear you so much 😢. What a lovely relationship you and your Mum have ❤. It’s so upsetting and I am so sorry, just nothing or no-one can take this pain from you and make you feel better, only your lovely Mum can 💔. Glimmers will come, but it’s so raw right now, hang on tight

Are you okay? Where abouts do you live? If you’re local to me in Essex area maybe we could have a chat? I don’t like the thought of someone being so down like that. Keep reaching out! I am a single mum with no support system or real friends who check in despite knowing I’ve been through a terrible time the last 18 months .

I hope it does because I can’t see a way out at the moment. Everything is just dull. Mum was a part of every bit of my life. 💔
I promise you it does get better. Slowly, over time. It’ll always hurt but you get more used to the ‘new’ as time passes. Even though I’m happily married with kids my best relationship was always with my Mum. I totally understand your relationship with yours too. Even when I wasn’t with her I’d speak to her a few times a day. When she died I was utterly broken-like you are now but she would not want me to be sad for the rest of my life so this year I’ve really tried to kinda push on a bit better. Hang on in there - grief is a terrible thing but better times will come for you I swear xxxx

Thank you. I do understand better days will come it’s just so weird because I was so close to mum there’s no part of my life she wasn’t involved in. I am planning a day out with my kids soon, she’d want me to go out and she’d want the kids to be happy xxxx
