being extroverted isn’t a negative thing it’s a blessing.
I think there are good things about introverts and extroverts, and most people can identify with bits of each. I think a lot of people see being introverted as the less desirable, meaning antisocial and boring when it's certainly not always the case. If anyone is interested in the topic, Quiet by Susan Cain is a super interesting book!

Though it could be that Fleur has more spare time so is able to socialise more. Like if I got home from a trip I would be like oh better do x, y, z and make sure I get some sleep ready to be back at the office all week!

Introvert/extrovert is honestly a myth now. I don’t think serious psychologists really use that typology anymore as it has a basis in the heavily mystical Jungian school. It carries way too much baggage because of how people weaponize it and idealize certain types and then make ignorant comments about the ones they don’t like.

It is a bit like astrology to me, maybe there is a sprinkling of truth here and there but not necessarily something you can or should base your identity off of. Some people are just quiet, but they can also be raging covert narcs who dream of being recognized and famous, or you can be social and outgoing but roiling inside with deep insecurities and crippling shyness. Saying things like one is a blessing or a curse causes a lot of unnecessary pain for many people who have to deal with being too this or too that. And quiet people, unfortunately, are always the brunt of someone’s cruel jokes in our heavily socialized culture.

Sometimes I feel like she really "gets" her audience now and then she'll upload something that makes me realise she just doesn't. Tips for buying vintage Chanel. Hhmmm, I don't think many people are in the position to hunt down and buy multiple vintage Chanel bags.

I mean she legitimately loaded so this is exactly the content I would expect from her 🤷‍♀️. People with her wealth are not going to be affected by economical downturn of the pandemic.

Even if she can afford it, even if some people asked for the video....it's a bit tone deaf isn't it.

Maybe I’m being naive but she might just be putting out whatever she finds interesting at the moment? I feel like compared to most influencers, Fleur isn’t nearly as meticulous about planning out her content. That’s not to say that she doesn’t care about pandering to her subscribers but I’ve always found her channel to be very reflective of her current life and interests.

As people have mentioned, she is privileged and lives a different life than your average youtuber or even normal person. I’m guessing the pandemic hasn’t been good for her or Mike but I doubt they’re struggling to pay the bills.

I guess it could be argued that it would be tone deaf regardless of the pandemic. The UK economy hasn't recovered enough after the global recession of 2007/8 so content like this is always going to put a few people's noses out of joint (not saying that's you). Also, we don't really know who watches her videos. Maybe she regularly gets a lot of views and feedback from people who are wealthy just like her?

I agree with you on this one. I think it’s obvious from her vlogs (or lack of) that she’s going through some personal stuff at the moment, so can’t really blame her for uploading a video about something she’s clearly passionate about, to help take her mind off things maybe.

Her channel has always been more on the luxury side so it’s nothing new...

Surely we can’t ag someone off for spending their own money the way they want to, it’s not her fault that we aren’t filthy rich 😂😂😂😂

I think she mentioned doing the not buying anything new in September thing again so assuming she thought a vintage guide fitted

But totally agree, tone deaf in my opinion

I do agree a little tone death! but I think since YouTube is something she does for fun, I can see why she would upload it.

I didn’t watch it all as a couldn’t care less about designer items. It all looks trash to me haha

I was in Westfield in London yesterday. I was shocked to see how packed the shops were, including the expensive ones: Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc. There were queues in front of all shops, and people walking around with a ton of shopping bags. I don't think those were all tourists, as we know the situation with tourism at the moment... I would've thought most of us were struggling financially at the moment, but clearly not. 🤷‍♀️

That Chanel bag is weird! So slouchy that it looks sloppy, all bobbly inside and it looked like it had either loose thread or hairs coming off the lining. Wouldn't have it given 🤢

She gets to go on all expenses paid trips with Jo Malone and all the free perfume and candles she could wish for. She's done multiple Jo Malone paid ads as well. I'm disappointed to see that she's trying to show her solidarity with the brand to ensure this continues.

There’s no way I’d use that bag without giving it a good steaming or dry clean beforehand. The jacket wasn’t a great fit on her either.

I didn’t mind the jacket but the bag was just horrible. It actually gave me the heebie jeebies! 🤢
