Stop. Absolutely hilarious and love her on the six o clock show. Great to see a fresh face who’s actually funny rather than the regular RTE/TV2 dopes that are more cringe than funny

Doesn’t seem it. She posted a YouTube video about a life update and actually gave brids new podcast a shout out
She said there was no more information to be had ‘from her side’ and she stopped doing Bandwagons because she ‘didn’t want to do it anymore’ and she’s not saying no to doing another pod in the future.

I don’t think anything specifically happened between her and Bríd, but i do think Fionnuala mentally checked out of the pod a while ago and then landed this on Bríd out of nowhere at a time that suited her (end of year/going home for Xmas).

Listeners are obviously shocked and confused about what happened but Fionnuala is already emotionally over it so her explanations are emotionless and quite vague. She comes across to me as someone who is out for herself (I don’t disagree with being like this, and actually think it’s important to be that way if doing media/TV/freelance work) but she’s missed the mark on the delivery of her leaving announcement if she didn’t want follow up questions or comments here. Don’t dislike the girl at all, she is quick and witty and knows what she wants, just think she was naive in thinking people wouldn’t press her on this.

She posted on insta a couple of weeks ago that she was finding this year really tough work wise. She was flying high last year and things seem to have dried up this year and she was struggling. I think she deleted them soon after. I’d say her confidence has taken a real knock.
I’m sure she’s feeling the pressure with having a whopper mortgage to pay. Hopefully things turn around for her soon.
I hope so too.
Fionnuala is one of the few people I actually enjoy following at this stage.

She is so consistent and has always been 'real.' Although I am not a huge fan of flop culture as a whole - it's just too niche at times, I love Bandwagons and the chatty parts/intros of Flop Culture. Fionnuala is a natural.

I think they have completely different priorities and work ethic now, so they would have drifted apart even if they hadn't fallen out.

On top of what we see Fionnuala working on on her Insta she also does social media for 98FM and seems to consistently write articles for them too https://www.98fm.com/author/fionnuala-jonescommunicorpmedia-com (not sure if full-time but close to full time).

Any tv work, podcast work, ads, IG story Love Island roundups (you can disagree that that's work but it's still an undertaking) is on top of her already full time job. I don't really blame her for feeling burnt out and I've seen lately she has been talking about how she can't say no to work and regretting it. I do hope she makes it big because she's putting the work in.

I sort of getting that feeling alright. Don’t think she congratulated her (online anyway). Or seemed overly keen on the fella at all. I’m a bit devo over the whole thing really loved the pod!

I know this thread is pretty dead and is about Fionnuala, but is anyone else shook that Brid from bandwagons is pregnant?!?! I feel like she’s only with your man a few months (not that that matters) but just was not expecting her to announce a baby!

I think if the unpopular opinion and the last few months of itgalz shows anything it shows that you cannot have a podcast duo where there is no friendship. It just oozes bad energy and makes for hard listening. I think they rekindled their friendship a few months ago. Would be a bad move just to restart the pod without having hashed out what happened

yeah, definitely think they’ve been reconnecting for a while now and rebuilding the friendship - it seems as well that they are taking a more relaxed approach to the pod, not putting pressure on themselves to churn out multiple episodes a week which I think is fair and will probably help their friendship in the long run!

Did anyone else sort of see this coming? I really noticed when Brid announced her pregnancy that Fionnuala didn’t say anything. Not that she should, but as a best friend and podcast partner you would think she would share the post or her congratulations.
Also she didn’t like Marcs Instagram post about the pregnancy announcement …
Just seemed to me they have drifted apart recently and maybe both are moving on with different things in their lives now, which is sad 😢

Honestly I really miss fionualla & brid together
I’ve gone back to listen to old bandwagons episodes.

I really can’t believe this time last year they were on such a high preparing for their live Dublin/Cork shows and it seems like they never did record a new episode after those shows. Just released some patron episodes and then said they said it was all over.

Noticed that Fionnuala said there are only 2 episodes left in series 1 of flopculture, so assuming there will be more episodes after that. The podcast in itself seems like a flop - I’ve mentioned before but the episode are far too niche. The Monkees movie, white chocolate flakes and what ever that movie they were discussing this week. She needs to start focusing on more well known stuff, or else can’t see the podcast going on too much longer.

I do wish they'd come out and say something together, but I think the fact that Fionnuala has at least given Brid's pod a shoutout and Brid literally hasn't mentioned her makes it seem like Brid wanted nothing to do with her after this. I don't think Fionnuala is stupid, this looks bad so even just from a PR point of view I'd imagine she would've wanted to at least do a final show and not doing one would leave everyone asking questions... doesn't seem like Brid wanted to do that. I'd mainly just like to hear the two of them have banter again. Just seems like an awful shame if the friendship is gone just because they wanted different things.
I thought the shoutout to Brid was a bit of a tick the box, like it was one sentence done - no, I’m happy for her, she’ll do great but maybe that’s me just expecting too much! I still think it’s sad, like brid put up a reel of the last year and had no mention of fionnuala/bandwagons which I thought was sad! Especially as they did so well with the live shows! Oh well, I wish them both the best!

When I first read Brids post I thought that Fionnuala had announced that she was leaving without telling her, which I thought was awful. But they hadn't actually recorded a podcast properly for months before the announcement, all the podcasts were patreon episodes or recordings of live shows, so I think they'd already fallen out by then. I think wanting to keep the podcast going remotely would have been a mistake, I really felt it had fallen off in a big way when Brid moved. I will say I think the way Brid has spoken about and handled Patreon stuff has made me think it was primarily about money for her. If you're going to keep charging people a fiver with no new content coming, you need to make a big deal and let people know so they can cancel... that just seems very scammy to me. She had some tweets about people unsubscribing too which just struck me as really entitled.
And let's be honest... she was riding the coattails a little? Fionnuala is a media powerhouse at this stage.

Really mad how the whole pod just seemed to disappear overnight from being so good and just after the success of the live shows. I know people who travelled across the country for it!

I'm happy for Brid but also a bit disappointed, the new fella seems to be generic small town personal trainer number 49357593. For a girl that looked like she had such a good setup in Dublin with her girls and the pod was growing with the live shows, it just makes me a bit sad for her that now she's amounted to shilling baby products on the new pod to her audience which by and large isn't having babies in their mid 20s.
