Yep! They stopped posting their own lives once they found this thread. It knocked them down a peg or 10!!! Before that it was like their personal blog as well as the business page. They’ve reined it in soooOooo much from before. Probably only put a few pictures on every few days now.
do you not think it’s because of the pandemic? I’m sure they will post pics again once we are aloud out. People do like seeing them.

No. They literally said they aren’t posting their lives as much due to what they read on here. Think they were upset that people posted pics of their kids and were commenting on their parenting techniques. At that point they made new personal accounts which they made private and far less stuff was on their business page.

And isn’t that what every one wishes all instagrammers on here would do

Did you see the post about the upcoming fundraiser? I wouldn’t call the end bit reined in!

COMPETITION COMING SOON- we’ve been wanting to run another big Christmas style competition for a while but wasn’t sure which charity to choose. A couple of months ago I started donating to @lancsmind because I wanted to support a charity that was worlds away from something I’d experienced. I’ve never really suffered with my mental health (luckily) but I know many who do, I am close to so many people who have been to therapy, who take antidepressants, who have had CBT, who have felt suicidal. People who don’t suffer online abuse, horrendous headlines, daily public comments, magazine gossip columns. Just normal people who feel this way. I’ve just watched the Caroline Flack documentary and it’s really struck a cord. I’ve decided to put our platform to good use and team up with our besties @doeharrogate to run a competition over the next couple of weeks. All proceeds go to Lancashire Mind. Watch this space for more details. As a parent, partner, friend, aunty, sister, twin.. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. To anyone who in 2021 still finds it acceptable to taunt anybody (famous or not) over an anonymous Twitter account, bully someone on the internet, by text or in real life, write tit about people in public view or in the media... and to the losers who write on toxic forums and live on the Daily Mail comment section...F you. F you literally today and every day for the rest of your lives. Details coming soon ❤
And they don’t take long for those true colours to come seeping through 😂 Has this just been put up today? It will be the comments on here from the past few days that have wound them up. Influencers have serious delusions of grandeur. They make a living from their social media and enjoy all the freebies that come with it yet they expect people to agree with every single thing they say and do. I don’t agree with trolling people directly and as far as I’m aware nobody here has done that! People are allowed to have opinions and my opinion is that they are rude, arrogant and passive aggressive witches who prove my point regularly 😂

This! The end of their post is disgusting. People are allowed to comment and have opinions, it’s called the freedom of speech. Nobody forces them to read and if it was me, I’d rather people wrote things elsewhere than on my public pages etc. It’s ok for them to ag people off but not ok for people to discuss their behaviour? I also haven’t seen anything horrible on here, just opinions and chatter about the way they operate, observations about the way they run their bakery and how they choose to portray their business online. It’s very telling that they seem to react to anything that’s said here, most recently their behaviour about isabakes setting up a shop and their underhanded and bitchiness about it which was noted here, including revealing the news before Isabel did! Then they suddenly changed tack, congratulated her and posted a celebration post for her. The talk about their decisions revolving their children was fair and justified, it was also nhs/WHO recommendations that they were choosing to ignore which incidentally one of them also chose to ignore lockdown rules to go to a rave so it appears they don’t care for other people unless they’re lining their pockets so they can pay minimum wage.
I loved the bakery and the twins when I found them 4/5 years ago. They were inspirational but it soon changed when they started to behave unprofessionally, publicly out anyone who didn’t lick their a but would post their own witchy and negative opinions. People here turned when they showed their true colours. The pandemic has been very illuminating for a lot of behaviour online as people have more time to observe and think about what’s they’re seeing and what other people are doing. And now they suddenly claim to want to help a mental health charity while at the same time telling people to go F themselves. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Since when does a differing opinion = bullying 🙄

That is offensive to those that suffer daily and long term from purposeful nastiness eg at school or in the work place. A discussion online is not bullying.

They are happy to have their big houses and nice holidays as a result of their popularity but they don’t want the negative press. Sadly when you become as popular as they are, you can’t pick and choose the attention that you receive.

Must be the other twin then as that post says they have never struggled with mental health. MH doesn’t excuse them been rude, unprofessional and breaking lockdown continuously when they run a business that relies on their popularity

I unfollowed a while ago so didn’t see the post. They’ve said on the particular post pasted to here they haven’t ever had any mental health issues, but I don’t know anyone who hasn’t struggled with their mental health, especially this last year during a pandemic, at some point in their life. I fully appreciate they are raising money but that doesn’t give them the right to tell other people to go F themselves because they happen to have differing opinions and write them online. They don’t have to read. I don’t like reading the daily fail comments so they could be like me, they could just not go there and read them 🤷🏼‍♀️

the crux of it is, is this forum has highlighted their behaviour and whether it has impacted them personally or business wise, it’s on them to behave professionally so their customers remain loyal.

It's quite funny really how they get so irate about us calling them out for being unprofessional and as a result.... REACT INSANELY UNPROFESSIONALLY. Girls if you don't want us to keep saying it, stop serving us the content :ROFLMAO: Christ sake you are supposed to be a business, even if you want us all to duck ourselves, don't say it on your professional business platform, jesus.

They have a finch bakery cook book on amazon pre order. I cannot stand them. They are ridiculously rude. Georges bakery is 1000 times better then them, and he is a nice person.

Is it normal for bakeries etc to buy all their stock from supermarkets or should they really be going to a wholesaler? Isobel has put up a post with a trolley full of Easter eggs and other bakers have said they’ve done the same, I feel like it’s a bit bad buying all the supermarket stock, it so annoying going in and there being hardly any Easter eggs left! I remember trying to buy about ten for work before and was told there was a limit!!

I always find it weird they do this too. Always see them buying so much stork and just think why would you not get it at a wholesaler. Think they are just lazy tbh.

Finch Bakery often buy all Aldi’s own ingredients as well so the costs much be pretty low. No issue with Aldi but surely buying bulk would make more sense

I’m really interested to see what’s going to be in the book because they seemed to have created loads of new recipes just for the book which seems to defeat the object...is it going to just be stuff like ‘use melted spread for a drip’ and ‘the same buttercream recipe the rest of the world uses’, surely they’re not going to give away the actual recipes they use for their business? Jane’s Patisserie also has a book coming out and as much as I love her recipes I’m wondering the same, will it just be the same old stuff bound in a pretty book

I thought the same. Will be interesting to see as like you say it defeats the object of having a shop if you're giving out your recipes 😀
