The way that they speak about their children is so so bad. Mortified me that they think it’s ok to post pictures of their child clearly in distress with such horrible captions with such public profiles. Disgusting behaviour IMO.

I agree I have unfollowed because of this particular reason. Not long after one of them gave birth to the little boy she was moaning about being a mum. some people struggle or can’t have children and would love to whereas these two just sound so ungrateful all the time

There’s no reason to speak about your son like that. It’s disgusting if u ask me and a reason why I unfollowed. Plus their overpriced brownies. I did used to like the place but i feel they have gotten too big for their boots. They always rant on how their brownies are double the size of everyone else’s and that’s why they are dearer. But when you get the ones online they are cut in half so you technically only get 6 brownies. So 6 brownies for £18. No thanks

I get what you're saying.. However, I also get that they post so much stuff on their page that isn't bakery related at all.
They own a cake shop, exactly that.
The gym posts ect should be for their own page

Yeah the gym post also tagged the personal account so it didn’t need to go onto the bakery account. I thought the whole point of the private accounts they made was because they wanted us to stop talking about them...but now all the personal crap is ending up back on the bakery page

People can come here to defend themselves, but they can't come here to police a thread and insult members. They usually find this impossible to do.

I've no idea what posters were them, but we've had lots like below that are zapped. Because them coming here to disrupt an online community is the dictionary definition of trolling:

I think you’ll find that stork/margarine is very commonly used in buttercream for most bakers and bakeries. Whenever I have used butter, it has created greyish icing that separates.

After reading the thread it has altered my opinion on the owners, but that is due to political differences. however, I wouldn’t critique them on buttercream, just ask them to use normal butter perhaps?

Tessa made a cake for my brother once at quite short notice and she really went above and beyond to make it what I asked. The twins were in the shop when I picked it up and were really nice too. I think they have a very specific type of humour on their socials that is appealing to some and obviously not to others. I've since moved abroad and really miss their brownies and cake jars!

Not everybody can form a support bubble. However, on 2 December the rules changed to widen eligibility for forming one.

You can form a support bubble with another household of any size if:

• You live by yourself – even if carers visit you to provide support
• you are the only adult in your household who does not need continuous care as a result of a disability

It makes no sense but those are the rules.

I agree, she’s much more engaging and likeable than many teachers I remember from school!
I like Tessa, think she’s very funny. I don’t agree with her covid views and social distancing ignorance, but on the whole she’s much more likeable than the twins and good luck to her with a new job.

I agree. She’s really nice, relatable and seems to work hard as well. Everyone will have an opinion about the way someone sticks to rules, I agree however she is currently living alone and I can fully empathise the difficulties of being alone in isolation.

Just the words palm oil makes me soooo sad as I love orangutans and I hate what Palm oil factories / farms are doing to their environment. Where is your bakery is it in Lancashire. Personal msg me as I love a good bakery especially one that’s ethically aware. I’m not knocking finch at all I like their products But it’s good to have options

Have to say I love their brownies, I work rolling shifts and love taking a cake in my lunch box as a treat. This week it’s caramel chip blondies. Of course cakes and brownies aren’t to everyone’s taste but a cheeky order every couple of weeks have kept me going during these times.

Obviously spent a lot of money on the house. I would have just paid to have it moved or bought one of those decorative radiators in black. That would have looked nice. The decoration or the double doors are not to my taste but I don’t live there

the doughnuts are 29p... pre lockdown I bought a bunch to take to work for colleagues - piled them high on a cake stand and they were amazed the whole thing has cost me less than a fiver aka the price you pay for one at some of these joints.
