COMPETITION COMING SOON- we’ve been wanting to run another big Christmas style competition for a while but wasn’t sure which charity to choose. A couple of months ago I started donating to @lancsmind because I wanted to support a charity that was worlds away from something I’d experienced. I’ve never really suffered with my mental health (luckily) but I know many who do, I am close to so many people who have been to therapy, who take antidepressants, who have had CBT, who have felt suicidal. People who don’t suffer online abuse, horrendous headlines, daily public comments, magazine gossip columns. Just normal people who feel this way. I’ve just watched the Caroline Flack documentary and it’s really struck a cord. I’ve decided to put our platform to good use and team up with our besties @doeharrogate to run a competition over the next couple of weeks. All proceeds go to Lancashire Mind. Watch this space for more details. As a parent, partner, friend, aunty, sister, twin.. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. To anyone who in 2021 still finds it acceptable to taunt anybody (famous or not) over an anonymous Twitter account, bully someone on the internet, by text or in real life, write shit about people in public view or in the media... and to the losers who write on toxic forums and live on the Daily Mail comment section...F you. And they don’t take long for those true colours to come seeping through Has this just been put up today? It will be the comments on here from the past few days that have wound them up. Influencers have serious delusions of grandeur. They make a living from their social media and enjoy all the freebies that come with it yet they expect people to agree with every single thing they say and do. I don’t agree with trolling people directly and as far as I’m aware nobody here has done that! People are allowed to have opinions and my opinion is that they are rude, arrogant and passive aggressive bitches who prove my point regularly

She says that's the extra cost to her business but she's just basically worked out £10 an hour for a year. Not extra cost. That's the total cost.
Which if she has an under 18, they'll already be paid some of that

But either way, I struggled to pay for my flat aged 17 because of minimum wage for under 18s. Just because they get everything handed to them from Daddy when they were young doesn't mean other under 18s do.

Yes. It's people opinions? I don't see anything wrong with that when they put their whole lives online.
They find it perfectly acceptable to respond to someone with a bitchy comment when someone simply comments on their page that they didn't like their cakes.
And then continue to post on their stories about it and get all their followers to go attack them.
That's okay for them to do though?

Don’t care what anyone says....Alba is a genius, and it takes some decent parenting to raise a kid that clever.

What the f**k is going on here? Giving me headache looking at it. They’ve somehow managed to make an expensive bed and bed linen look like something thrown together from a charity shop . Had a look on the bed linen website and a fitted sheet alone was nearly £100, looks shit huns. Couldn’t cope with any room being that dark but each to their own View attachment 357071

Dental school is notoriously hard to get into. I've known students with top grades not get in but I hope that she succeeds.
No doubt the bank of Daddy will be paying out to fund her third degree and to make sure she still has the lifestyle that she has.

In all seriousness I like the advent - nice idea. But such a humble brag.
I get posting the raffle = more donations but to keep re hashing how ‘amazing’ they are to work for/with is clearly to justify thing written here.

Funny that they said they trained Isabelle, she could already bake and decorate Obviously she will have learned from them I’m not denying that but she wasn’t an absolute novice. They won’t train anyone else now I bet you

I actually find decorating is so easy as well, everything they do I’ve learnt from YouTube. Baking stuff like blondies is harder for me.

The birthday cake was horrendous! It’s like one of those shit cakes you see people put up saying I asked for this and got this and people go wild saying get a refund. I think years ago when FB got popular, they were very on trend but have definitely not upped their game in recent years. Those fondant characters are going to give me nightmares

I've never posted before, and can see why people might find the girls a bit annoying, but I have tried A LOT of their cakes and so had to comment.

Cookies - tried the regular and hazelnut, thought they were rubbish, FAR too cakey for me.
Cake jars - choc - amazing; vanilla and jam - lush (sooo moist); sticky toffee - out of this world; lotus and caramel - a bit dry and disappointing. It might help that I usually freeze what I order and then defrost, which might add moisture??
Brownies - caramel - okay, but I don't like the crunchy/chewy bits on top; orange - SO good; raspberry - not as good as I hoped, but had hyped these up; regular choc - V nice!!
Blondies - loutus - v good; raspberry - decent; Nutella - v, v nice

Always find the blondies/brownies to be very moist and generally enjoy the cake jars.

Am I now going to buy the new treat box on payday? Absolutely!

Would like to try a George's Bakery box to see what they're like, but they are SO expensive!

I live quite near them, I do really like their bakes and I also have to say their scrapers are really great if anyone here is an avid baker like me! But their Instagram I find so annoying, they’re so brash and rude, like others have said really unprofessional...really strange tbh

Yeah I thought that too ngl. I bet she won't. Just weird - it's a fine job, but it's not being a dentist. Being that vague and letting people think she's going to be a dentist seems like she's a bit ashamed of it?
Seems a bit odd that's her third big career change. I know loads of people change careers/professions - I myself did this - but going from teaching to baking to dental therapy...seems a bit like she has no idea whether she's coming or going. I suppose it remains to be seen if she gets an actual place on a course.
