I thought the same thing! When all she's ever shown are tight shots on the sofa, it was very revealing to see how tight that space actually is. Hopefully, she'll purchase smaller scaled furniture for the room, which might not look great, given the height of the ceilings. I do think an L-shaped sofa would work best in there, as long as it's not some massive thing - but I'm not sure it will look great with that granny rocker! I haven't decided how I feel about the area being wrapped in those cabinets. They feel a little too modern for me when she then talks about putting up elaborate crown molding - it's overkill, for me anyway. I watched a real estate video over a year ago, I think the small apartment was in Monaco, very expensive. The kitchen was not as large as theirs, but the concept of those cabinets wrapping the wall and creating a media wall was exactly the same. The whole area felt a little like a small hotel room, which I wouldn't like as a family of four. That said, their kids seem to spend a lot of time in their own rooms when they're in the house, doing their own thing.

I think she has had her lips topped up to as she said she had them done in the past but not since... Exactly this. It's basic knowledge, that if she integrated herself into the French culture a bit more, as she should have, she would know. August is holiday time on the Mediterranean. Shops close. They're pissing and panicking now. I'd be more worried about the previous owner still living in the basement.Today they went shopping for skirting boards and were surprised to see shops closed.
I don't live in France and even I know the French take holidays in August and a lot shops will be closed then. Fern was really annoyed and said: hope you enjoy your holidays, you ruined our plans. And then said: You prepare everything and then this happens. Uhm... no Fern, this means you were not prepared. Being prepared doesn't mean Googling a shop and drive there 1 day before you need the material. It means calling the shop and asking if they have the required material in stock. Because in another shop that was open, they found out the material had to be ordered... shocking
Ryan even works in construction, how does he shop for materials other years during summer?
And surely he must know as a professional builder that materials need to be ordered in advance.

I noticed in the vlog uploaded the Sunday before last, Fern & Ryan just called in to the apartment to see the work in progress, and one of the workmen put a bucket on his head when he saw the camera. I did wonder then if he was a 'legal' worker !

Seems they're moving out of the caravan and going to stay somewhere else in France at a friend's place in the Alps for a few weeks. Not sure what their problem is and why they just don't get a move on and buy a property.
Could be me but I'm getting serious money problem vibes. They sell the pink house so they can have a summer of fun. He was gonna have summer off but now is working.......she's resorted to patreon........and is selling an e diet plan. They move out of the caravan cos prices are too high.
I don't mind Ryan, he's definitely a worker and provides for his family. Hope this is just a blip for them..

If you follow her on Instagram, she's posted a couple of times on her stories in the past week or so what she called "Phase 2" being started on the apartment (along with a reel with her and what appears to be her only friend, Rachel, going to lunch at an Italian restaurant, then Fern showing herself as "every woman", back to the apartment with her jeans on, helping with the reno). She showed a bunch guys (probably the ones who work for Ryan) and work being done on what looks like the kitchen and I'm assuming the media wall, as well (she said somewhere, either on a vlog or on IG that the media wall cabinets had been delivered). I don't know what else, if anything, is being done - the coving, maybe?
By the way, I don't know why I was startled by this, it's not like I didn't know filters are used all the time.....but on a vlog in the past month, one of the ones where she and Ryan were making food for guests coming over (not the latest one), whatever filter she uses when she does her vlogs wasn't used in a very brief jump cut on Ryan's face. In the vlog, he was blemish free, but in this little slip up, he had red marks, blemishes, all over his face! When the vlog cut to the next part, there he was, bright white face, blemish and wrinkle-free skin again! I've seen this filter slip up a couple of times when Fern's been at the mirror, putting on her makeup or doing her hair or taking off her makeup (can't remember which) in Nancy's room, too! wanted to remember which vlog and post a screen shot, but it's just been too busy in my real world.
She's definitely improved with age I'll say that. Dunno how she can claim she doesn't have botox or fillers.
Strangely the interview with Nancy on this morning popped up again on you tube. She didn't come over well there at all. I remember someone mentioned it once and she said the less said about that the better. I never saw the wedding on Don't tell the bride, was it? Can't find that on YouTube but I'm sure it must exist somewhere. They were desperate to get their faces on TV weren't they?
Its in her newsletter. She states that a friend has invited them to stay for the summer at their property in the Alps. Probably going to the UK first then back to the Alps.

It took them forever to buy the pink house, which I for one think they never should have sold.
They remind me of the couples that Phil and kirstie used to have on their shows, that have looked at 500 houses and still can't find "the one". When they do the catch up programme 5 years later they bought the most underwhelming property imaginable and you think wtf tookyou solong to buy that!!
