It's sad you had to sell your house but at least your new home is your own. I am trying to keep the house for me to little ones and think we have an agreement. Won't get too excited until it's all done.Yes, I got rid of lots of things, I had to sell the house as I couldn't afford it on my own. I downsized considerably, but I love this house I am in now. It's not grand at all and for my daughter and me, it is enough. I hope you find your happy, I did x
Its not sentimental really and its cheaper to replace it which I will try to do when the shops open again I think. If any of my mother’s china which is so sentimental to me broke I would definitely get it repaired. I have it on display behind glass as I’m a little afraid to use it. Its so lovely.@Oops... if the china is sentimental could you look to getting it repaired? I did read that although chipped china is not good, getting it repaired is okay.
Also, I have read there are three commanding positions, your bed, stove and your desk where they should be placed diagonal to the door, and with your back not facing the door, (so you can have sight of the door to protect your back I am guessing from unseen negative energy) you can get around this with the placement of mirrors. It does sound daft that you might have mirrors everywhere, but I can see how a cleverly placed mirror in your home could alleviate a placement of a commanding item where it cannot be placed anywhere else.

You can join us clapping our corners for great energy on 28th February - time yet to be arranged. That would be a great start for moving in. Bed placement is important (read earlier posts and watch YouTube for hints and help) and click on some of the helpful web-sites @PixelGirl has put up for us. Hope this helps. Any questions come back to us.I'm really enjoying this thread, who would have thought from LEM to here eh..! I'm a total newbie but finding everything you're all saying fascinating.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'm soon going to be moving into my first home is there anything in FS that suggest would be helpful for a fresh start to bring good energy in? Or perhaps to clear the air of the previous owners? Thank you so much![]()
There's this https://tattle.life/threads/feng-shui.15660/post-4001599 and this https://www.thespruce.com/alternatives-to-smudging-4137648I'm trying to find the clapping instructions, but can't seem to find them in this thread. Can anyone point me to the post? Specifically which corner of each room, or is it all corners of all rooms, speed? Windows and doors open?
They might be, but they relate to a thread that we all follow (those with banana avatars) regarding a UK Influencer called Lydia Millen who was abusive to a heavily pregnant hairdresser. The hairdresser in an effort to placate her offered her a cup of tea and a banana. Can I ask what is significance of the banana theme in this thread? Are they good luck?
.On the other thread which @PixelGirl has told you about many of us changed our avatars in solidarity with the lovely lady who offered her transgressor a banana. It‘s become a bit of a thing on that thread since we previously changed our avatars to stand in solidarity with @PixelGirl when she was making a stand. Can I ask what is significance of the banana theme in this thread? Are they good luck?
. Some of us here came from that thread because we are interested in Feng Shui and improving the energy in our homes. Thus we are here and hopefully growing...Welcome to you! This is a lovely forum.I’m delighted that you recommended The Spruce. I was googling the money toad when we first opened this thread and came across it and I similarly found it to be a very calming, informative, well-laid out website.
I would say it would be perfect if your girls do the clapping yes! Make a family fun day out of itI’m delighted that you recommended The Spruce. I was wondering, @Oops, if I can get my girls to do the energy clapping and smudging in their rooms or if it ideally should be the same person throughout.
I can do either of the times mentioned so await your confirmation.
.So happy you agreed as the girls are keen to get involved.I would say it would be perfect if your girls do the clapping yes! Make a family fun day out of it.
Hopefully we can agree a time suitable for all soon - Great you can do any of the times mentioned x
Oh that’s wonderful that they want to get involved! Perfect! I really hope you all enjoy the process and it will be great to be able to discuss it here afterwards. So happy you agreed as the girls are keen to get involved.
I have enjoyed reading your comments so much and especially in light of the Lydia situation and our ongoing concern regarding little Porter and the chaos in the house. It is v interesting that you mention, for example, that Teddy Bear and, in my case, Gem, should not be in the house during our smudging and clapping for energy day. It has come up a few times on this thread of a dog’s sensitivity, ie in light of bad energy the dog may cower from those perceived areas.
In Lydia’s case, I don’t think she has given Porter a single thought. I think, as a puppy only recently introduced to a new home, the complete gutting - not minor refurb, but gutting of the living areas and the outside, is unforgiveable. It is so frightening for him to be faced with all these changes and scents and smells and disruption in such an important transition time, I just feel sick. It’s really gone beyond cruelty now.

I can also do any of the times you have mentionedI would say it would be perfect if your girls do the clapping yes! Make a family fun day out of it.
Hopefully we can agree a time suitable for all soon - Great you can do any of the times mentioned x
