I'm so excited for the arrival of my toad today! So am I correct in placing him on the 2nd/3rd step of the stairs facing towards the house and not towards the front door?

And to turn him towards the wall at the weekends to give him a break?
When you say facing towards the house, you do mean in the house don't you? I would keep him indoors in case he goes walkies on your front steps (if you have them). Other than that, yes position him in the house at pocket level, facing away from the front door. Every so often give him some time off, a weekend, or a day, whatever suits you best.

Thanks I'll do a search 👍
I don't know if this link will work, we are on thread number 76 or thereabouts! https://tattle.life/search/16205159/?q=lydia+millen+threads&o=date

People can get a bit carried away with precision over direction and it takes a Feng Shui Master to actually work out the correct co-ordinates precisely Using a compass. So for simplicity’s sake if you hold the bagua in front of you standing in the doorway of a room this shows you where your wealth corner is, your relationship corner etc etc etc. So if you want a better relationship for instance place twos of items in that area. If you want more prosperity the SE corner is a good place for your money toad or coins. I have a gold bowl with chinese FS coins in mine for example. You might want to put your money toad there if you like it or a money plant etc.

Also you can overlay the bagua on each floor of your house so it could show you where to place children’s rooms or the best place for your own bedroom etc..
Ah, that makes sense - thank you! Anytime for me re the Clap for Energy Day.

If I was not such a Luddite I would bite your hand off! 🐔 Truly 💛 (In the nicest possible way of course...) Then we can speak about all the things we would like to:m.
Oh, I have no clue at all when it comes to starting a whole new thread @Oops... I just thought the name might be an okay idea because, as you said, it would give us the freedom to discuss anything we like without fear of derailing or going off topic.

We would need someone to set it up for us though, as clearly we are not ‘tech savvy’ enough to do it ourselves! 🤫

@Rubythefirebat - do those rooms you have told us about suffer with more plumbing problems that the other rooms nearby?
Do they suffer with more electrical problems than the other rooms? It might be ‘dirty electricity’.

Is it another button that’s disappeared maybe? I will now check on my posts to see if there is a delete button or not. I haven’t noticed before - but it can’t just be on your posts surely?

Edit - just checked now and my delete button is still there.

I will now do a sentence of gibberish to see if I can delete it or not but will have to wait until someone else posts otherwise it may delete what I have just written (which actually sounds like gibberish anyway :m ) So if a sentence of random gibberish appears further down - I haven’t gone completely La-La l’m just testing the delete button...🤫)
Thank you! Actually I am not sure about the plumbing or electricity but I will give it a look. The hotel has a long straight floorplan, the stairs cut it in the middle to two part. The problematic one is the rights side. Nothing dramatic happened there, but everybody has this bad feeling about it. And actually it does attract the bad vibe guests too.

Been trying to download a picture of mine for you @Geranium but having problems - it won’t do it! Watch this space x. Got mine from eBay - he’s glass with gold bits x

F836F585-0A6D-4E43-BDF3-392E7F4AE14D.jpeg

Now it’s worked - hurrah! I typed in glass/crystal money toad. I keep mine on the stairs at pocket height facing forward x
I have to turn him round at weekends to give him a little rest AND give him a month of every year. Because he needs a holiday for working so hard! Yes! My FSM actually told me to do that as he is a member of staff. 🤫

Hi all. I’ve been quietly following this thread and enjoy your insights. I was reading an article about the benefits of snake plants. It absorbs CO2, removes allergens and toxins like formaldehyde and toluene from the air. The article said it is also good “feng shui” but didn’t get into it much. What do we know about this and other houseplants in those terms? I know money tree has been discussed. I just love my snake plant which has grown so much that today I divided it into 2 new plants. What a gift! 🪴💚

I'm really struggling to make my home office more Feng Shui-friendly.

It is a small room and I have a corner workstation ... so it makes sense to put that up against the wall, with the window off to my left. But in doing so, my back faces the door, I'm facing the wall, and I have a huge empty space behind me. Ironically, I found an article that pictured 'ideal home Feng Shui set-ups' that had my exact configuration! (But I know it's not the best set-up).

My current 'fix' is to hang a mirror in the corner where the two walls meet (that I look to), so I can see what's behind me; I also have brightly coloured artwork with pleasant scenes (boats, beaches, etc.), adorning the walls.

Does anyone else have any ideas about what I could do? (I don't want to replace my desk).

Thank you for thinking of me @Milking Keynes, I’m so glad I found this little corner of the internet - you are all helping to keep me sane at the moment. ♥

And yes, I am resting like it’s my job ... it’s not like I have a choice because Master Midnight has turned into Nurse Ratched and is making sure I do exactly as I’ve been told - bless his cotton socks! 😉
Good for him! It’s his revenge!! Ha. ❤

They attract money. Thread red ribbon through them and put them in a drawer where you keep/file your bills. Or you can place them in your purse. When I set my company up centuries ago I had 3 coins threaded with ribbon on the front of my invoice file. I still have it as a memento today. We actually sent out paper invoices in those ancient times...The front cover of the red invoice file was many years later framed and put up on my office wall - just as a reminder. You may remember I said had everything Feng Shui’d when I set my company up by a FSM.

Or you can put the coins in a gold bowl in your wealth corner/area either in a room or on your desk.
Thank you, @Oops...
You are so helpful. I will order some red string as I have none in the house! Not even red thread. LOL Where we are, there is a shortage of mince, onions, and now red string/thread! Ugh, I do prefer to buy local, but can't seem to avoid Amazon.

Bless you! 💛I don’t think it just happened to me. I think it’s rubbed off on quite a few (exactly what I hoped we could avoid in the first place, sadly). It spirals and then either people leave or it attracts more of the wrong energy/people. I don’t know if anyone saw the avatar (now taken down thankfully) of someone who just joined yesterday morning or maybe the night before. It was heinous; yet a perfect example of what I’m trying to get at. You can actually chart the progress (rather like the kitchen door - whoosh it came in and didn’t stop!) from the time the s word appeared - it was all downhill from there. I had to try and speak up. I truly wasn’t trying to be difficult or a kill-joy - but I know you know that. X

Sadly, I don’t feel my energy is right for there anymore. That’s really hard for me because I don’t know what I will do without all of you:cry:. Devastating isn’t the word...Your kindness in coming here means so much.💛

If I’m honest - I feel completely lost because i can’t enjoy that forum any more. I was such a big part of my life during the last difficult year. It kept me going and kept me positive. I felt like I was contributing with my poems and daft escapades. If they made just one person smile it was hugely worth it as far as I was concerned. I know it might sound ridiculous but I felt really close to some of you on there. I now worry that things may go from bad to worse on there and that there might be an influx of more bad energy.
Oh, this is devastating news, @Oops - I was hoping we could possibly go back to where we were before all this. I’m going to have to have a serious rethink now that you think the bad energy there might be a permanent thing.

Like many I’m WFH and since Mercury Retrograde my motivation levels have dropped! I’ve de-cluttered my desk space - is there any desk feng shui I can do? Thanks 🙂

A bit update about the hotel + bad vibe. I am not sure how this works, but since just putting out on here that I wish to work on it and solve it, it got better. It still has an uncomfortable feeling, but less creepy, if it makes sense.
Makes sense to me 😉. My sense is that there is something wrong with the sewers/pipe work below those specific rooms but only time will tell. Keep us posted... 💛

Good morning All,

Thank you :) Yes, I have seen the posts and also did some research from Feng Shui Masters. I am happy to share what I decided to do with my little money frog:

- I found the wealth corner using the Bagua and the compass on my iPhone
- I placed him an a sideboard in which I will now keep my bank cards - he will be facing my / my desk
- He has read eyes so is already activated but I put a red candle next to him
- I decided on a mantra (intention) so that he also knows when to get to work
- I also bought some Chinese Coins with red string that I will sit him on

Then I also need to de-clutter! This seems to be a major part of it and I am currently storing lots of boxes in my flat.
WOW! Great start! sounds like you have been busy and also plan to do a lot of space clearing. This may make a great difference to how you feel. Keep us posted. 💛

Hi All,
I’d like some advice please.
I’m not sure if I’m missing a corner in my home (wealth! 😬) or if my top right corner (love and marriage would be classed as extended.

Rough ground floor plan below...

View attachment 501665

Excuse the messy plan but we’re renovating so I had to alter it from the original plan.
Green = sitting room
Blue = utility area and lobby
Purple = kitchen
Red = dining room
Cream = lounge

House is about 200 years old.
The main square - lounge and dining room has a second floor with bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs.
The front door opens into the lounge (bottom left) so we only use it for deliveries.
The long rectangle going off the dining room, containing the kitchen, lobby, utility, shower room and sitting room is single storey only and, although original to the house, we believe they may once have been outbuildings before being converted many years ago.

So would you class my home as missing an area or as having an extended area?
Obviously the cures differ depending on the answer.
Many thanks.
I think @Oops... would be better placed to answer your question than I would. I have looked online and you can try to make it a full square/rectangle by extending out into the garden, by that I don't mean actually extending, just by placing things outside that would complete the 'picture'.
This webpage looks to be very useful, I think I am going to use the instructions here and draw a scale drawing of my home and plot my areas.

It couldn’t understand how I didn’t see it either, however, it happened me once, my comment just sitting there no reaction. I eventually realised that my post and one other had the same post #number so mine never actually went up and I had to retype and post it - it’s rare but it happens.
Just to add, I could see the post I had written but nobody else could!

I would be tempted to take comfort from the fact that since such a high-profile charity (who will be subject to the stringent rules of the Charity Commission) are promoting it that there is probably little chance of them promoting an over-valued property ‘no mug could be found to buy’. Wouldn’t you say a lot is right from a Feng Shui perspective? For instance - it has a ‘mountain’ behind it, (higher land which protects) - every one of the elements are there - wood, fire, earth, metal and water and they appear balanced. It appears uncluttered and has clean lines. It appears to have soul-soothing views, abundance of light, etc. If you were being hyper cautious you might have thought about not having water in the front of it so close to the house maybe. However, the far reaching sea views with a ‘mountain behind and such wide green surroundings are virtually text book perfection from a FS point of view. You could argue that they have put Norman Foster down in an AONB and it may look a little incongruous (NF didn’t design it I don’t think (it might be twice the price if he had) but it’s the best analogy I could come up with - sorry;)) It’s free if you post your entry. It’s attempting to raise money for a good cause if you want to buy a ticket. If it fell down in 50 years you or your survivors might be able to hand that sticky problem over to the insurers. The poster I pointed this out to was hoping for a house. This might be a solution for the poster who is clearly a bit distressed. If you didn’t like it when you won it you could sell out immediately and buy a property you did like You could rent it out as a source of income if your finances needed a boost. You could give it away to help the NHS nurses even. It definitely looks like it’s remote but if you had a busy life in the city this might bring a bit of harmony and balance into your life at weekends maybe. Every property needs maintaining so there is always that worry, I agree. Not sure if I’d like to have to clean all the windows:eek:. But maybe the windows could be forgiven if you actually won it or it had been manifested through following a dominant thought or you embraced the idea of the infinity of solution. This is such a gentle thread and we all are looking for ways we can improve and enhance our lives by sharing ideas and asking questions. Hope is important - hope and the prospect of a little bit of fun. Maybe that’s why the lottery has been so successful.

edit. As I’ve been writing this the lottery slogan of ‘you’ve got to be in it to win it’ keeps going round in my head. I think I might have just talked myself into giving it a go. Someone has to win it - PREFERABLY one of US (just SHOUTING that out there)...🤗
I would love to enter but it’s UK residents only.Great cause - Irish Heart Foundation is one of my direct debit charities.

I think just leave it as it is maybe for the time being. No point in pushing a rock uphill. If it gets mentioned ever lets deal with it then x.

Today we should hear about @MissMidnight and her hospital check up. We may need to think about a Nymphs and Shepherds scene where we wear flowing Grecian frocks as we dance into a shady glade as we welcome her, strewing her path with rose petals and fragrant pomanders. A harpist will be playing gently in the background. Anyone know where we can lay our hands on a few handsome shepherds and a harpist? Anyone..?

🍄💐🍀🌿🍄🌳🥀🐇🐞🍄
Wonderful idea to cheer her up - she must be very down - she’s been sick a while now 😪. I hear you on the ‘pushing a rock uphill’ - I follow your lead. ❤

My rose quartz crystal arrived today. It doesn't look like what I ordered online. It's "milkier" than the one in the photo. Sigh. I still think it's lovely, so that should be ok, I think.

Anyhow, I held it in my hand and thought positive thoughts, and had my husband do it too. He did raise an eyebrow, bless him.

The center of my house is exactly where the refrigerator sits. I'd have to put the crystal on the fridge (think large American refrigerator) to put it right at the center, which feels wrong to me. The wall directly behind it has a table (it is the living room). Would it be ok to put the crystal on the table directly behind the fridge? Thoughts?

I'm happy to put the crystal on the fridge if that's preferable. Just at a loss as to where to put it to get maximum effect.
