Of course. This is a gentle thread and as such unlikely to draw mean spiritedness, which is why I explained our current situation and why at times it may appear to others that we might go off topic. I may have jerked my knee when I reacted to your post since @Milking Keynes and her dear daughter are important to me . I was wondering if you have used the I Ching? I started with the Whilhelm edition and found it harder to understand and was so grateful when more Western translations became available. It once told me I was using it too much - the memory of that always makes me smile. It‘s a fascinating, eccentric oracle and a book you can have multi-faceted conversations with.

Oh SO good to see you here!! You have NEVER said anything offensive! When I was a lurker it was YOUR posts that finally made me join! This is the thing that hacks me off the most; people who haven’t caused the problem worry it might be them! I think I have clicked appreciation of every post you have ever made since I joined. It's so nice to hear from you! Thank you for your lovely words! I've beeen feeling so hollow. Where was that DM button when it was sooo needed? I've re-read the thread a few times (not helped by missing posts) and regret wading in and prolonging the discussion after it veered off; instead I should have closed it down a lot earlier! Thankfully the wonky pheasants helped me express things when I did start the new one . These forums are dynamic and people come and go, but it has meant so much to me during Lockdown to laugh and chat with people who feel like friends. Hopefully we can find a way back.

Came with a lovely note and some gift coins. Are these for good luck as well or more protection? Where should the coins be placed for optimum results?

I usually carry Chinese coins with me when buying lottery tickets or playing / competing in games of chance.

Today I bought three essential oil diffusers - apparently they are wondrous for moving stagnant energy on and far superior to wax melts as you're using proper essential oils (don't use cheap and nasty synthetic oils or you won't get the same results). I'm going to diffuse lemongrass in my kitchen (it's foody, plus it attracts wealth), and other assorted blends (including lavender, another wealth attactor), throughout the rest of my home.

I use white sage smudging sticks to shift stagnant energy on anyway, plus open all the doors and windows for as long as possible throughout the day, but I think the oil diffusers will give a little boost, plus help my house smell lovely.

Omg @Milking Keynes I’m a Snake too (ironic as they terrify me). I’ve ordered the monkey talisman via the link mentioned above. Will keep you posted.

I have just received some very good news (financially) today after trying to resolve it since January. I did get Crassula plants in early March as mentioned previously and they are both planted in green ceramic pots although it was suggested to put outside on either side of the front door... can’t do that due to the weather in the uk but I put them on each side of my front door on the inside. I don’t know if this is a co-incidence but I thought I would share the good news with you all

Inside your door is fine - you've set the intention and it has worked (and will keep working, I'm sure).

Thank you to @Geranium and @whathastheworldcometo for checking in on me. I know time is a healer and it will hopefully get better but it is just so so hard to overcome it after investing yourself so much emotionally in another person. I keep wishing daily that he will reconsider it.

I completely understand, I have been in this situation myself before.

I learned that these emotions are still there, they are not wasted. And that someone else will come along who will make your heart beat faster again

@1001 others What you are doing sounds good to me, have a look at this image and see if you can actually do anything with the way things are actually on your desk. The mirror to counter the door situation seems like a good fix and I have seen this mentioned as a way to get around having your back to the door.

@Arts911 Young children are sensitive to energy changes so I had a look and it seems it is suggested you do it when they aren't in the house. Maybe if it's a nice day they could play in the garden while you do it.

@Yogarow I had a quick look for you, I am in no way an expert but it seems there are fixes for the coffin position. Have a read of this x At least if you look into it now when you do come to move you can look for the things you don't want to have, toilet over the front door for instance.

Ah thank you! Upon reading, I'm not actually in line directly with the door, I'm facing the door but to the slight left of the doorway so when I rearrange the room I will try and move abit more to left! Feel better about that now! Realised the baby would be however directly in coffin position so may rethink and put baby on other side xx

Yes I saw that too. I thought you couldn’t have your feet facing the wall the door was on but reading that link, it looks like it’s only a problem if it’s in line of the door e.g. you walk straight in from the door and walk straight into the bed. That should be avoided.
Is that correct?

I had to sell my Dad's house, so I know how you feel, my condolences to you.
I think it's lovely that you left some of his possessions in the house, when it was being viewed.
I've had my offer accepted on a house, which is a probate sale, and the family have included the contents, which are nearly new because the poor lady died only a couple of years after moving in.
There's a nice cosy atmosphere in the house, I got a real sense of the lady. I'm sure people viewing your Dad's house had the same nice feeling.
I have a feng shui question to anyone on here The house I'm about to buy has a road leading up towards the front of the house, not directly up to it, my house would be a further along.
The house is kind of at a crossroads but a couple of doors down from the junctions, if that makes sense!
I think that a road leading right up to your front door is meant to be bad luck and you should have a mirror at the front of your house to deflect, is that right?
Is being near a crossroads bad luck too, just wondering what people think please? Ta!

Great to hear you got an offer accepted! I know that if your front door is opposite a T junction it can cause a lot of arguments because the chi runs straight into it. I don’t know about a crossroads though but it would be easy to research it. If your front door lies at the head of a junction you can place a mirror on it so it reflects the fast chi right back down the road. Don’t place the mirror too high though. X

If its any help to you, when I started to become interested in Feng Shui over 25 years ago I bought a lot of Lillian Too books. There are quite a lot of helpful videos now on YouTube too. If you don’t immediately gel with the presenter move to another until you find one that feels right to you. There are several different schools of Feng Shui apparently. I think the basic tenets are more or less similar though.

So, yesterday I decluttered the bathroom and started to Marie Kondo the wardrobe, which I kind of finished today. The wardrobe is full but looks tidy.
I washed all the winter wear and once everything is dry I need to put it in boxes and store it away and I hope that this will make the room look tidy and calm.

This was pretty exhausting, I am tired now! Once the rooms are tidy I want to add the Feng Shui elements.

Tonight I want to read a little it in the book, I already started it but want to read a bit more. But first dinner and a glass of wine

Am I correct on thinking that a money toad should be facing your front door?
Now we only use our front door for deliveries, we never use it to leave/enter the house.
Therefore should the money toad be placed by the doors we use to leave/enter our home?

PS When you turn the money toad around at weekends to give him a break, should he face the wall and do you keep the coin in place or remove it? Thank you.

I have one. It’s placed adjacent to my front door and the frog is facing into the room.
I‘ve done the same in my Dad’s house. When the house is sold I’ll be bringing his frog to my home and I’ll be placing him adjacent to the door we use the most, again facing inwards.
It is recommended, if possible, to place them on a surface about pocket height so that it attracts money into your pockets!
I read they should face inwards so that it attracts wealth into the home.

I think with the money toads they need something red on them to “activate” them. So either a red ribbon tied to it, although some have red eyes or are red anyway are so already activated or you could sit it on a red piece of paper.

Speaking of money toads, we are about to put my Dad’s house on the market. We’ve cleaned and decluttered throughout but is it worth placing a money toad in the hallway, facing away from the front door so that it invites in money/offers? I’ve not done anything Feng Shui based in Dad’s house so any small (and discreet) ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

I don’t know about your Dad’s house, someone like Oops would be best to advise. As someone suggested maybe 3 coins under the doormat? I know 3 is an auspicious number and someone else shared on here that they did that with their weekly lottery ticket and won (not millions unfortunately!) so maybe that would help.

I asked if it felt rushed to you because I have a friend who practises Criminal Law who is at her wits end at the moment because of the backlog of cases which are now starting to be processed through the courts ‘Post Covid”. She has suggested (although I have no experience in this and so can’t confirm if it is the case with any certainty) that the due diligence and proper examination of cases might have to be sacrificed for the sake of speeding up backlogs. She is worried some of her clients may not get the full justice they are entitled to having had such extended waits to actually have their cases heard. I do hope this wasn’t the case for you. Although yours wasn’t a Criminal case.

Hm, it certainly sounded as if he didn't take much time over it, but he was also close to retirement and hence probably didn't care much anymore.
I feel hard done by as the other party lied and the judge viewed it differently from the three (!) lawyers I consulted.

Oh, yes, would love to get a lovely house for free. I don't see this advert, but am still not giving up on my dream. It will happen eventually.

I just feel like there are so many hurdles that are being thrown at me, for the last ten years, and I don't know what I am doing wrong for this to happen.
