I cant imagine what must have been going through her head in the ambulance and going down to theatre for an emergency Caesarean. Im new to her blog and story.
Im so so pleased for her and I hope she can relax a little and start to enjoy her new arrival.

She doesn’t owe anyone anything, even an update. She has something she has wished for for years, I totally get not wanting to engage on social media to such a big audience when you’re in a new baby bubble during a pandemic navigating grief and loss.
Then she cant really expect it to still be there when she needs people to buy her book. But no doubt it will be as the sheep will always still be there to follow.

I lost my first baby at 24 weeks so I relate to her a lot with all of the anxieties of a second pregnancy. Does anyone know when she’s due? I can’t wait to hear when the rainbow baby arrives.
Don’t know but it’s got to be very soon, she’s blooming!! I looked like waynetta slob when I was at the end of my pregnancies. She looks the picture of health 🤣😩

I do hope she just pops on to say baby has arrived safe and well. I don’t blame her for wanting to keep things private but I really hope she just put a little announcement of a safe arrival 🤞

I do get what you mean in terms of the authenticity. However what I will say is that if by her being able to make some money from ads gives her the ability to not work and therefore focus on charitable work that she does, then surely that’s a good thing. From a personal point of view the conversation around babyloss is starting to change and I believe she’s been a huge part of that, so many of us suffer in silence and she’s opening up that dialogue for bereaved parents.

I’m not sure how you’d know it’s a friend replying but I’m not insinuating you are lying.

If Elle had posted constant pics of her baby then someone would find a reason to moan. She is bowing out gracefully and I can't say i blame her.
Alof of people are using their kids as cash cows and nice to see Elle isn't one of them.
Yes it would be nice to know the little ones name and I'm sure we would know at some point not that it's our business but i am nosy. There's a good chance she and Nico haven't decided.
Good luck to the 3 of them, they have waited a long time for this and babies grow up so quickly you don't want to miss anything because you are uploading an Instagram grid post or story like many insta celebs do.
She will be welcomed back when she's good and ready.

I’ve missed her posts and will definitely buy her book. I’ve been through similar to her and I love how she puts my own feelings into such beautiful words.

I also admire her decision not to advertise baby stuff but that is also a privilege in that she can afford to say no. That’s absolutely not a criticism of Elle - she’s just doing what she feels is right in her circumstances.

I’ve also seen some comments about her saying she’s not replying to DM’s. To be fair to her, she needs to prioritise her mental health right now. I can imagine she receives some pretty harrowing messages from newly bereaved parents and feels pressure to reply. As far as I can see, she has no qualification or training to counsel people and can only show her particular set of circumstances so it isn’t appropriate anyway. I get the impression she wanted to meet people who had gone through the same thing when she first started out and her following was manageable but there is no way that is sustainable when she has 155k following her! It must feel a bit awkward to say she can’t reply but I don’t see what alternative she has. Spend a much longed-for pregnancy glued to her phone?

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but I think it’s a little bit rude. For the last few years, many thousands of people have been invested in her journey, have donated to her very worthwhile NICU fundraiser, bought her book and generally kept her going during her darkest moments. Now she finally has what she was looking for it’s like seeya. I feel the least she could do for these people is to just post a photo of the baby and reveal the name.

I love Elle and all her content and think she writes to beautifully and raises awareness in such a delicate way although I have to say I find it a bit odd this Instagram break. Like I mean I get it, I think, but for someone who’s life and carer as such came from Instagram, who shared so much and really connected with her followers I don’t quite get the secrecy around the new baby and the complete cold turkey of coming off Instagram completely 🤷🏻‍♀️
I love Elle too, and I fully understand that she’s taking a break to spend time with her new baby, and enjoying every second with her - a little update as to how they’re all doing would have been lovely though , she could’ve done that without revealing anything about the little one if she wanted to. We know she will be back sometime in the new year now we know she has a new book to promote, but I can see her coming back to do so perhaps alienating people a little in that she’s only come back to her platform to sell something!

I totally predicted all of this. Just sneak previews of baby feet and hair and no name.. what a cliffhanger! Perfect way to keep her followers wanting more.

Oh would you ever just do one.

"Perfect way to keep her followers wanting more".

Idiot.

I do think if it was about respect towards bereaved parents, she maybe wouldn’t have posted bump photos. Maybe she will change her mind once bebe’s here about what she shares. She says herself in her book how happy she has always been for her friends who have gone on to have rainbow babies.
That’s exactly what she said at the start but then she added them anyway; although often disguised as outfit shares or photos of the dog on her bump- but she definitely got them in at every opportunity. 🙄

In her reply she says she will share on IG when baby here safely - but no name or face, and blog will have no baby related content.
It is a bit annoying when people put themselves in the public eye and open up so much to their followers (who are all rooting for them big time) and then keep something so huge SO private..
She is very very secretive about stuff, yet happy to share things she’s making money on. I find all the “I’m not replying to messages” and “I’m not an expert, don’t message me” posts quite arrogant too. I think she’s a taker, that doesn’t give back, and I think she gets a bit of a kick out of it too. She’s far too smug for my liking. That’s just my opinion of course..

Instagram is not her job, she started it to promote awareness of baby loss and document her experience. She doesn’t owe anyone anything and people expecting replies and sympathy from her need to realise she is grieving herself and isn’t a professional grief counsellor nor held herself out to be . I can hardly imagine how difficult it was being pregnant again after such a tragic loss, the anxiety must have been huge and hundreds of people messaging her their stories of loss must have been overwhelming.

I hope she does come back and introduce her little one to us - I’ve been so invested in her story and so pleased she has a happy outcome . If she doesn’t decide to though totally her prerogative!
Well said - I can’t understand how anyone would think otherwise !

She’s done the thing that is right for her and her family, she owes nothing to followers on a social media platform. .

I honestly believe that by sharing news of the baby it will help to reassure those parents who have suffered similar losses.

Perhaps she will write a blog post as she says she won’t share the baby’s name or photo on “this platform” (IG). At least then it is only accessible if you want to see it and will not automatically pop us as it might on Instagram.
In her reply she says she will share on IG when baby here safely - but no name or face, and blog will have no baby related content.
