So you can have an opinion but I can’t? And I can’t ask you about yours? 😂
Of course you can have an opinion, I haven’t tried to moderate anyone, I was just giving the alternate view about why people might find the number of cardigans excessive. Some people think it’s fine and that’s cool too.
You did ask me about my opinion and I answered so not sure where you got that impression from? Just most people don’t ask questions with an exclamation mark so it seemed a bit dramatic.
Not trying to pick a fight or derail, I think we all like Elle on here, but we can still differ on how we see things.

Can someone set up a non rave thread so that people can go their separate ways?

Still chuffed to pieces for them. She is a complete inspiration. Supporting so many others through the roughest time imaginable and then taking time to drink up all the special time with her babe. She is just amazing.

definitely think baby is called Hope. How prefect.

Counting down the days ... NOT 😂😂
Another one?! Rave thread? Go and make your own thread about her to moan about Elle.

@admin What are the rules about people constantly commenting negatively on a rave thread when there is the option to make a thread where they can write negatively?

Yup same 😥. Tbh she was the first real fake instagrammer I came across and was so shocked because I thought she was so nice and often contacted her with what i thought were sweet, supportive and uplifting messages. I was really taken aback when I saw the other side of her. That was back in the good old days when I thought everyone on insta was genuine. Now of course I realise the big accounts treat it as a business. Shame really 😕 xx

Wow your experience of her is near on identical to my own 😥. Firstly I’m so sorry to hear of the sad times you have gone through, sending my love and support. Secondly people think Elle is some kind of saint but IMO she is actually very fake. She is calculating and only now she’s popping up again because of the new book. She was very rude and abrasive to me. I have a private account, very small amount of followers and I guess just not important enough to her for her to make an effort. I’m glad I’m not following her anymore as I don’t like fake people who make out they are something they’re not. Opinions are my own of course.
I agree with all of this.
FTEN was the first account I went off on Instagram.
when you follow for relatable reasons and then up pops a random M&S dinner party or those outrageous £400 bedsheets (swipe up for 20% off) absolutely shocking Imo!

She may change her mind about what she shares. I don’t feel comfortable judging her decision when she’s about to give birth - she must be absolutely terrified given what she went through before. She has no idea how she is going to feel when she has this new baby in her arms. If all is well she will still have so many conflicting feelings. She can’t be expected to have her IG Strategy all figured out!

I know what you mean - it’s obvious she comes from a privileged background. She’s been quite honest about what her husband does for a living etc though. I think working class women are very rare in the insta world in general though, not just the baby loss community. People root for Elle so much because middle-class women are seen as more deserving than working-class women and they can afford to add that aspirational sheen to their lives even if everything is shit. Sad but true. I don’t hold it against Elle particularly although was pleased to hear she is going to try and amplify more diverse voices in her next baby loss series.
I don’t judge her decision, but for me as a parent who has lost a child themselves for me both my children are equal. They both deserve to be spoken about and celebrated. I know I’m speaking from an incredibly privileged position because I have my rainbow with me and I understand her fear, but I don’t think you can make decisions about ‘what to do and what to share’ before that baby is even with her safely. I don’t think she should be sharing the decisions yet with people who have supported her since day dot.

Her instagram isn’t a safe place for people who have lost a child, even seeing the words ‘pregnant’ can be so incredibly painful and raw for those who have lost a child. She shares pictures of her bump, which people know is from this pregnancy. That isn’t making your platform safe for those who are grieving. It doesn’t add up to me, I’m currently doing 4+4 and getting 9 here.

But I’m not Elle, what I may do and what others may do is completely different to how she is thinking she may do things.

Never been more glad that social media didn't exist when my babies were born. We had real proper baby bubbles back then, feels so special now looking back.

I think that the garden stories are purely filler at the moment, probably to avoid the inevitable influx of thousands of messages asking if she’s had the baby, if she posted nothing at all. I do find it a little bit odd though that everything has gone completely silent regarding her pregnancy. I hope to God that nothing is wrong. Although she owes us absolutely nothing in terms of any information, I do kind of wish that she would do a story basically saying that she is okay and bump is okay!
And just like that....! Yet ANOTHER bump pic for all those who have lost and find bump pics painful to see, on all its ill-fitting-tits-hanging-over-the-top-dungaree glory. 🤨

Someone I follow that designs jewellery was attacked for sharing her baby in a cardigan that was quite expensive. It was a Christmas gift from a family member that was handmade and from a small company. I have to say I agreed with her argument. No one was exploited in some huge factory and this particularly lady bought a lot second hand etc. I see no issue with buying some quality pieces where the money is going into someone’s pocket that loves what they do.

I think Elle is absolutely right to step away at this time, she has waited so long for this that she should be free to enjoy it without feeling guilty that many other families are still struggling. Not to mention, her Insta was somewhat of a job to her, it is normal to take maternity leave.

I also don't agree with criticism around Elle sharing photographs of herself pregnant. Why should she be ashamed that her family was finally growing?! For every women who is crushed to see that Elle is no longer waiting, there will be another who is given hope. I know she initially said she wasn't going to share any, but she obviously had a change of heart and that is okay, she wasn't running a public service.

Elle possibly feels that 'Feathering the Empty Nest' is like a book that now has it's happy ending. The nest is no longer empty so this is a fitting time to sign off.

P.S. I am the nosiest person alive and I would love to know the baby's name as much as anyone else but Elle owes us nothing.
Everything you’ve said 👏🏻

Lovely to see her back and to hear they’ve been so happy with little Olivia. Glad she took the time out to enjoy it too, it must have been so wonderful but so difficult at times with all the thoughts of what they missed out on with Teddy.
