I am genuinely over the moon for Elle, I have been rooting for her the whole way through and have nothing but respect for how hard the whole experience must have been. She’s an incredible lady and clearly has amazing support from Nico and her family.

However, I feel to bow out of Instagram when she has had thousands upon thousands of people rooting for her every step of the way, without even telling them the babies name is bad form. I understand her reasons for not plastering this baby all over social media and I completely agree. But as posters have said above, although she says it is to keep it a safe space for bereaved parents, there are a large number of pictures of her pregnant. To announce the babies name would cost nothing - all these people have been with her along every step of her journey. Picking her up when she’s been at her lowest points and cheering her on every step of the way. I just think it’s unnecessary.

I lost my first baby at 24 weeks so I relate to her a lot with all of the anxieties of a second pregnancy. Does anyone know when she’s due? I can’t wait to hear when the rainbow baby arrives.

it looks as if the comments have been removed now. I honestly don’t know what their problem is around Elle...
Yes I noticed hers has gone and ours responding to it. I get that people have different views on things but this is a rave thread, if they dislike her that much go and make a thread where they can write negatively about her. I agree with you though, can’t see why they would hate on her and that level of hate for Elle not really doing anything is just weird to me.

Just read her blog post and honestly cannot begin to imagine how she must be feeling. If anyone doubts her or questioning why she doesn't want to share much about the baby... read the blog post! It broke my heart!

I so hope she gets her happy ending

I’m listening to the audiobook of Ask Me His Name; absolutely sobbed at some moments. I hope everything goes well for them 🌈
I’ve got this to read, I lost my daughter in April, I want to read it but just can’t bring myself to open it- I know I’ll sob for a while!

Yes, completely agree, she doesn't have to share anything.... If she did share then it would be the opposite of she's selling her child's privacy like most of the instamums do everyday for a living. She can't win either way.
I think most of these instamums/influencers can never win. Get criticised for everything they do. Yes it’s a price you pay for having that sort of account/Insta fame, but lots of people out there following these accounts, do have not any sort of understanding of others, and live in their own judgy (Perfect or not so perfect!) world. In Elle’a case, she set out to help others to help herself to get through, what can only be described as one of the worst moments to happen to someone. She then goes on to write a book to help others and yet those those who like to judge think she owes it to them to let her know her babies name and face! It’s her life, she used Instagram to get people talking about and understand, and highlight the support for those who have experienced the loss. Whatever type of account they have, used for whatever reason, not one of them has to share their child’s details/images if they choose not too.

I think the name might be something classic like Sophia or Charlotte. Would be nice to find out but understand if she wants to keep it private.

I also listened to a podcast she was interviewed on by the scummy mummies. It really opened my eyes to how loosing a baby really feels. You always think god it must be awful but listening to her side of it had me in tears. She’s such a strong person but isn't scared to show her vulnerable side. My mum went through the same thing as Elle and she never talks about it. It’s a generational thing I suppose. Good on her for telling Teddys story💔

She would have to address her absence. People would complain if she just went silent too, that she was causing concern. She cant win either way.

What was the purpose of her account? Was it to raise awareness and support other parents going through the same? Because as far as I am aware, she shut the door in the face of most who reached out to her. She didn’t shut the door on The White Company or whichever company it was who provided her with an outside seating area..

I hope she does come back though, people want to “ask her her name”!
