1% is pitiful. Also, I personally (just my opinion) find the title of her new book really ill judged. 'Bump in the road' which translates as 'A setback or obstacle, especially one which is relatively minor'... So her son passing away was a minor set back? I really don't like it

it is ill judged, it’s a stupid title. She obviously means bump as in her Olivia bump, appearing on her journey of pregnancy after loss (why has she deleted that highlight btw?!) if you didn’t know who she was though, you’d have no idea what it meant!
She’s running away from social media the second she gets the chance. I won’t be reading her new book. I read ask me his name and thought her wording was very repetitive, with every chapter she had repeated the same sentences!

I haven’t read her book but heard her interviewed on Woman’s Hour. Didn’t Teddy have a condition that caused his death?

The mighty are beginning to topple ! 😂

Not another one ! RVK does the same 🤬
RVK blocked me because I liked a comment that somebody had left calling her out on something. Another one who thinks she’s a whole heap better than other people. It makes me 😂 really when these big accounts block because you can still go and see what they are posting on their page by looking at Pikacu 🤷🏻‍♀️ And watch their stories if you can be arsed.

I’ve written this before and deleted but I’m going to write it again. I unfollowed Elle a while ago well before her first book, she is rude. I emailed her with a gift, a big gift, I run a small business in hospitality, I offered her something different to raffle off to her followers to raise money. She emailed me back saying “ thanks but no thanks, I prefer to work with bigger companies right now, I’m done with small companies, it takes too much work for little gain”. I’m being polite in the way she comes across.
I was really gobsmacked, we've offered our products to 7 charities and they’ve raised over £90,000 pounds.
All she saw was my Instagram follower count.
I even wrote that I didn’t want anything like “ follow me and like the post” crap I was just offering her something different to raffle which I know would of helped her charities.
I understand it’s hard work doing raffles etc ive done them myself but she was doing raffles at the time.
Anyway it taught me a huge lesson re “influencers” and since then we’ve been able to accommodate NHS workers here for some r&r free of charge.
People like Elle really do look down on the ‘peasants’ and really just know you’ll buy into their world. They use the #bekind #womensupportwomen hashtags for their own gain but they don’t really follow them.
This reiterares why I’ve never particularly gelled with Elle or her story

I’m not a fan of the title either I found it felt not natural. Obviously for her this wasn’t a bump in the road this was a major event.. like saying a car had a little ‘prang’ when really it was a write off isn’t it!!

So it feels to me like it came from the publishers the idea for the title or the feel of it. It just felt to me as if she may have been told to really try and spin and push the whole “this is my come back book come and read the opposite side to my last book” which is fake as its not that way. I’m sure the content inside actually explains how that isn’t the case, it’s still been so hard for her.
But publishers know what sells! So that’s why it has that title it’s more appealing. Sad really

I think that the plan after the first book was to do a trilogy, with bump the second book on the fertility difficulties and then a third book with the story of motherhood after loss. I know recently Eleanor has said that this book will be the last. That may be how she is feeling right now because she has somewhat been outed, has no interest in instagram other than to promote her book and really if you look at her content, she doesn’t have enough there to make it as a home or lifestyle account. Losing Teddy is her story, as heartbreaking as that is. She has been so vocal about no showing O on her account she can’t really go down the route of motherhood of young children or family life. I think that bump really lends itself to having a third and final book, that is the book that shows her happy outcome. Right now she is saying no third book but if this bump does well I think her ego would be tempted to go for a third. There’s been a two and a half year gap between name and bump, so maybe she will revisit in a year or so. She would only go for a third if she felt she was guaranteed good book sales as her pride/ego wouldn’t be able to take a dip in sales. I actually think she has done a lot of good but the ‘fame’ of insta has gone to her head and made her very unlikeable and has changed her. She’s too into impressing people and keeping up her image now, before she was just a young woman who had been through a very heartbreaking loss 😢. What she has forgotten or chosen to ignore, is that many others have been through the same sadness and she is becoming less and less relatable to the ordinary person. Let’s face it she wouldn’t have raised the money she has or sold the number of books she has if she didn’t have a massive following. Over the years she has had the support but I honestly don’t think she really appreciates it and thinks she has achieved all this ‘success’ on her own. She needs a reality check and a massive dose of humility. That’s my penny’s worth anyway.

The title bump in the road to me downplays the fact her child died and also undermines anyone elses experience who maybe doesnt have their happy ending. Shes out of touch

She’s soooo strange isn’t she... not even having her name on her new bio? Or even “mummy to Olivia” not even a mention of it 🤯🤯🤯
Well she’s mum to Teddy too. And why would a parent have to put mummy to ____ it’s like putting “full time mummy” as an occupation. Definitely not needed and not sure why she would put that
