She’s a professional victim these days.
Her "talent" was very shallow and kick started by a family member who was very senior in the bbc and like many reality "stars" the gravy train stopped rather abruptly as the lack of "talent" shines through, she is getting too old to do kids show, TOTP is gone so she doesn't fit the bill anywhere else. She was part of the team covering the Queens' diamond jubilee in 2012 and she was a shambles, and I think that was the end of her TV career.
What audience is her fiction book aimed at? Cover looks like teen fiction. I don't believe for a minute she wrote it without a ghostwriter helping!

I think she may still be struggling with some sort of body image disorder. She loves to brag at how she can still fit into dresses from her early 20s (nothing wrong there, but she admitted herself she had severe bulimia in that period)

Her fall from grace was quite spectacular. Going from things like her Radio 1 show, Celebrity Juice and Top Of The Pops, to a BBC Sounds show about 90s music and little else. She used to be everywhere and now is nowhere. She doesn't get regular TV work.
She does seem to say a lot that it was her choice to step back from everything, I wonder how much of that is true and how much is saving face?
I've always wondered about the impact on her from having dated Ian Watkins.
Me too … she’s spoken about a period of depression and panic attacks and intrusive thoughts … that would have to had a big impact as she was with him for a while … not just a few dates. I met him once briefly and he seemed really nice; I’ve been disturbed by just the insanity of that … I can’t imagine what it would be like for someone that has been intimate with him and shared a period of her life with him!
I'm from his neck of the woods and it never fails to shock me. If you're an overthinker like her I'd imagine you couldn't help but go over and over it. I also wondered if with Holly's love of the Columbian marching powder she lost friendships when distanced herself.
