Im not surprised they split but I am surprised they announced it now with her recovering from her surgery and so close to Christmas. I wonder if there’s anyone else involved…

Seems like there is definitely a reason it’s been announced now. I feel sorry for her, they seemed pretty real. Who knows what goes on behind closed doors though
It was only 5 months ago in July they were celebrating their 10-year anniversary by trying their wedding outfits on and posting it on Instagram. The split seems a bit out of the blue
Definitely feels like a “I want to say it quickly first before it drops somewhere else, to make it clear it’s my decision” (or at least a joint one) vs something coming out in the papers … the timing is so weird, that likely some cheating involved or something’s happened they can’t move past. Hasn’t he been married before? I know he has children from another relationship. Really sad for the kids. I think Fearne will be ok though as she’s got a decent career that is inline with the full spectrum of female experience (the good, the bad and the weird) .. she also seems to enjoy time alone and is pretty introspective.
Shocked but also not. I remember an article years ago where she implied he didn't do his share of the chores/child care while she was out working which lead to arguments.
He always struck me as a bit of a lazy man child, and I think the fact he was the son of a Rolling Stone was the biggest attraction for Fearne initially.
Shame their lovely house in Richmond will probably have to be sold, not nice for the kids.

It's going to be hard for Fearne as I don't think she's ever been single? She dated that skate border guy also called Jessie for years before this one and well the guy before that we don't mention 
They seemed happy enough and she used to gush about him on the gram but then again real life is another matter. She may as well announce it now and get it over with.

Never trust gushing on the gram! My BIL does that and his wedding is a sham, he’s visited escorts multiple times and his wife would prefer to be with a woman, but keeps up the facade as her family are very traditional. In my experience the more love boasting the more they are hiding; my marriage has had some major ups and downs and I’d never gush on instagram as it would be unfounded and also pride comes before a fall!
Agree, you would not even know I have a partner if you looked on mine! 
I was wondering what had happened to Fearne just recently as I haven't been keeping up with her latter career of podcasting and writing. Is she still close to Holly Willoughby? I saw Fearne Cotton on the tube in London about 12 years ago now. It wasn't that busy but she was being very odd and sort of hanging her head down with her hair over her face trying not to be recognised while at the same time constantly peeking out and about to see if anyone had spotted her, very odd. I doubt I would even have noticed her if not for her acting strangely.
Sorry to hear about her split, hope it isn't down to cheating or anything too awful. I suppose its easy to suspect that given who her husbands father is and the kind of behaviour he probably saw modelled in relationships but who knows.

This sounds likely the problem. She's just had jaw surgery 2 weeks ago to take out 2 (luckily benign) tumors. She'll feel like tit and if he's not pulling his weight and looking after her...maybe she's thought F you. If your husband can't look after you when you're young and temporarily poorly, what hope have you got in old age. Pure speculation but the timing of the announcement so soon after her surgery is interesting.
That is a bit of an odd thing to drop in but I’d literally fall over backwards if he had anything to do with this.. he is someone who genuinely does seem very happily married!
I wonder if the Sunday papers will run with anything..

If it’s Fearne who’s had the affair … then wow! I Didn’t think she had it in her .. she’s quite reserved and androgynous feeling (I feel I can say this as I’m a similar type) one that doesn’t scream sex motivated 
I get the feeling he probably has some sort of ongoing addiction issues, maybe fell off the wagon and cheated. It's probably happened one too many times for her to forgive him again.
The happy family image and being part of a Rock dynasty was a huge part of Fearne's identity, I doubt she'd willingly have thrown that away.
