Ooo how is it? I've got my eye on that one
I blind bought GG Blush, I find it very strong so for me it has great staying power, however I find it makes me feel sick at times. I don’t know about anyone else but I find as I’m getting older or maybe due to menopause, that I go off perfumes quite quickly, not good for the purse since it then makes me move on and buy different ones!

My sample of Lira Xerjoff came today and the dry down smells of stale pissy nappy on me 😭. Does not go with my skin chemistry at all
Is there jasmine in it? Apparently some people can detect a pissy note in jasmine scents while other can't. I have the gift 🤣

I got Alien Goddess with my scentaddict subscription this month, good for the summer.

Trying to use up the last of an old bottle of Alien so wearing that today. Sorry to anyone who loves this but I absolutely cannot stand it :ROFLMAO: I think I wore it far too much as a teen.
I love Alien but it definitely reminds me of boozy nights in my twenties. I'll only wear it like 2 or 3 times a year now. I feel the same way about Dior Addict.

I used to douse myself in Dior Addict in my 30s on nights out, but now I'm older I can't wear it - nor the eau fraiche version that I used to wear in the day.

I blind ordered Michael Kors Gorgeous as it was on offer but it's a dead ringer for YSL Libre and gave me the same flipping headache that that does! I'm 53, and my sense of smell has def not been the same since Covid a few years back and I wonder if menopause is about to bite me on the a too. I am officially banning myself from blind buys, though it thrills my daughters to get them off me when I've worn it twice

Funny you should say this...I'm wearing the MK Gorgeous today which was also a blind buy, to be honest I'm not a fan so I use it up at work, sadly I don't smell the resemblance to YSL Libre which I do love ...

You have YSL Chsmpagne!! 😮 is it still good? Lucky you
Yes it is! It’s the Parfum. I used to have a big bottle of the edt but it’s lost somewhere in my house along with my original l’interdit 1957 extrait 😭

I got myself a bottle of Dior Addict recently, was a bit wary as it was my go to on messy nights 20 years ago but I love it again. I bought it mainly because I was panicking it would be another old favourite to get discontinued after Stella, Versace VS, Acqua Di Gio and Miracle forever

I bought it a few years ago for the same reason. I’ve used it about five times so it’s pretty full still. Someone once gave me a decant of the elixir/extrait version which was like heaven and I wish I had more.
I’m currently waiting for my orange fizz, elixir de merveilles, three Tesori d’oriente cheapies, and petit lempicka. I’ve been very very bad at spending this month

I really want a banana perfume but they're all either too expensive or reported to have rubbish longevity :(
Kayali has one in their new collection coming out soon. Can’t say the longevity will be fantastic.
think vanille banane by comptoir sud pacifique might be the only one good one that comes to mind but it is a bit spenny.

Gosh Tom Ford Neroli Portofino is stunning but the staying power is shockingly poor

I’m not going to go through addict quickly that’s for sure. I want to try elixir de merveilles as I believe that’s supposed to smell similar to VS.

I love L’Interdit. I wear it loads and I’m only in my 40’s. I do like Givenchy perfumes as a rule though- my very favourite is L’Accord Particular but I very rarely wear it as it’s so expensive- my last bottle lasted me three years! I’m aiming for similar with this one 😂

I have Good Girl Blush too. My mum bought it for me for Christmas as she knows I love Good Girl. It’s nice, but I don’t like it as much as the original.

I also have to report back re the Charlotte Tilbury perfume. I layered it with Molecule 01 and I had several compliments from people who said I smelled amazing. I can also confirm that the seductive properties of both perfumes work 👀😂

Two discontinued fragrances that have a banana note are Rochas' Muse de Rochas and Jean Patou's Sira des Indes. The rochas is lighter and a more green banana, and the Sira des Indes is syrupy, heavier and more "ripe." You can sometimes find them heavily reduced at discounters online - the Rochas especially, for about £14-£20 - and I've seen some Sira des Indes carded samples on sale on ebay a few times.

Also, for straight up banana, but in body care items, try Kwailnara Banana body lotion and body cleanser. They're sometimes available at TK Maxx in big yellow pump bottles and smell just like banana milkshake and the scent lasts. 🙂
