Recently, I've found I like The Bewitching Yasmine by Penhaligons and Gardenia Petale by Van Cleef & Arpels. Unfortunately, both are pricey.

Yeah I find Byredo perfumes have no lasting power. I have Gypsy Water and Rose of no Man's Land and after a few hours I can't smell them on me. Not worth £140 or however much they are unless you get a big discount or people are selling them on ebay for cheaper (how I got mine).I adore it but it just doesn't last unfortunately
perfume of the day - rose noir ( Byredo ) layered with Oud Attar ( a cheapy which has zero oud smells but more rose)
I ordered Tom Ford café rose 
(well, ordered it as a Christmas gift from my mum to me 
) and I'm so excited to wear it! Got it during a points event at Boots so on top of 20% off the perfume I also got a bit over €40 back in advantage card points (total spend was around €200 as I stocked up on boring tampons etc as well as picking up a couple of Christmas gifts). Delighted.

I actually have a sample of Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady which I am liking. I know reviews say it is quite strong but I sprayed it once on my skin under a jumper and it's a lovely winter scent for me.
Does anyone here happens to have Ffern Autumn 2023 they would be willing to part with?
No, only winter 21. I forgot I had it - just tried it out, it's very herbal and a bit lemony and a bit like Vicks vaporub hahah.
Ha ha I have this one! I still use it from time to time. Autumn 2021 was my fav though. Only use it sparingly. I read the description of autumn 2023 and it sounds right up my nose
You can sign up for their 'ledger' - you usually get let in in a week or so, order it and leave again.

Off the back of Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur which I love and find to be very long lasting, I decided to try out a discovery set of 6 x FM perfumes, sold on their website at £70. Such a nice way to try perfumes before investing in the full sized bottles. Wore portrait of a lady yesterday and quite like it but not as much as the musc one.
I tried Ffern and loved the first one I had, but hadn't really used all of it when the next arrived and it was so similar that I didn't bother keeping it. I removed myself from the ledger at that point.
