She grabbed as many chocolate and white chocolate chips as she could!!
The adults laughed about the fiasco while Abbie chowed down on choc chips...in her mouth and hand.

Being firm definitely has it's place especially when it comes to cooking food that others will eat. So, a firm, "no" instead of laughing is where I would have started. Before starting any cooking activity they should do a social story with her that explains that they are going to COOK now EAT later....this could also be tied in with a "First...Then" board. I also think that since they have the space and set up that all meals could be eaten in the dining room. Having that clear distinction would definitely help someone on her level to know the difference between "eating time" and "cooking time".
