As someone who is losing weight, I can tell you I was far more miserable at my biggest than I am now

He is so delusional. How can he offer medical advice when he looks like he is on deaths door. Greying skin, bloated and swollen looking. I am obese myself and if anything I look at them and think ‘sh&t I need to sort myself out!’

What a waste of a career. It takes so much time and money to train as a dr and she has thrown it all away and taken her pace away from someone else who wouldn’t have toddler tantrums when she didn’t get her own way.

He had a huge opportunity to make change from within. He could have written and run workshops for GPs to educate them away from fatphobia. But no.
I would not be at all surprised if he reveals a mental health crisis in the future. Everything has been so extreme and so self-injurious

They strike me as having some sort of mental breakdown, but it’s been played out on social media. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something like BPD

Oh Asher. The usual bs. Someone has posted and upset you and now it must be public for all to see. I bet it's killing him there aren't more messages of support.

Please go and get some bleeping therapy with someone who has the balls to tell you that the world doesn't revolve round you.

Does she still claim that being overweight has nothing to do with being diabetic? I know it doesn’t always correlate but for a great many people there is a link.

This says it all. Probably politely told, "Your diabetic control is tit, it needs better regulation or your [insert body system] will deteriorate" and now spoiling for a fight.
Same old, same old, me, me, me and endless buzz phrases and word salad, all talk and nothing of substance. Interesting that she’s lost yet another old friend, as soon as anyone dares to stand up to her she just abuses them and then throws them away.

I think what she’s done to that trainer is despicable. I went to look at her page, and she’s not done anything wrong. BMI exists, and as adults we can choose to disregard it. The point of that post was ‘I’m slightly overweight, and I’m not exercising to change that at all’. It wasn’t an ‘I’m just like you large people because I’m not thin’. She wasn’t claiming that.

Diabetes *is* manageable, and pre diabetes is reversible, without losing huge amounts of weight if you adopt health positive behaviours, especially exercise (30 mins most days where you get a bit out of breath and sweaty), and making changes to your way of eating (carbs, large and protein at every meal if you can, and some fruit and veg, and the odd takeaway etc when you feel like it, just not every meal). For some people that’ll result in weight loss, for others it won’t.
I don’t believe Asher is doing any of this. What he’s doing is getting angry and targeting people. He doesn’t seem to like people who are trying to regain or maintain health. He doesn’t like the term ‘overweight’, but ‘large’ is ok. Fine, but not everyone is going to agree with you and it’s not fair to accuse good people of being large phobic and actively harmful when they are not 🤷🏻‍♀️
