New to this thread but know the situation, friends with amir's friend. It isn't faryal that keeps him away. He chooses to stay away because of all their interference, spiteful games and dirty deeds his family have done on him. He was almost penniless when it came to light at peek of his career his family had swindled and squandered all his money which they managed for him (not faryal). He is tight with money because of it and most you see her buy she buys herself from her own earned money. Amir will tell people this himself. If he buys her something he posts about it every single time. Both of them are vain. As for the relationship with his family - I can't see that ever being repaired long term. Too many things have gone on by both sides and his family are certainly no innocents either. One of his sisters is a domineering bad tempered witch. As you know amir is an idiot and faryal clings to him. His cheating destroyed all her confidence in herself constantly having surgery to make herself look better when she now looks worse. From what I hear he hasnt cheated for years and the pair of them are more close now than they ever were. She isn't stupid like she pretends to be, she is actually clever. He doesn't like to stay in the one place, always needs to travel and she runs after him instead of putting her kids first. Both of them love the limelight as much as the other.
