Exactly. And I wonder why that is? Because she’s been dragged from pillar to post for ten years, never made long-term friends, never been in a school surrounding, never been taught about life and reality etc.
What’s the bets they’ll manipulate her into thinking she shouldn’t have access to her own money once she’s 18. They’ll ‘all agree’ she should get a certain amount each month, and they’ll use that amount to influence what she does and where she goes/lives.

That all sounds a bit Britney Spears! Wouldn’t put it past them.

It’s really hard for me to picture Mia being 18 this year, she is so immature. Yes she has done well for herself at her age but her lack of schooling means she completely lacking the maturity and social skills that she needs to be able to survive on her own. I don’t think she will be moving out for a long time.

Tbh I hope Mia makes some friends in the UK who are her age. She’ll have so much more in common with them and hopefully will make her mature more too.

Completely agree with you! She has had a very abnormal teenagehood...Has never experienced a long term friendship, a school dance, a collective experience with classmates like a graduation trip. It's important to learn about the world, yes, but even more important to do so in the company of your peers. It's unnatural to think a 17.5 year old wants to spend excess amount of time with her 10 and 4 year old sister + toddler brother.

EVERY time the girls, particularly Mia, settle down and make friends and start to build a life, the parents decide to do a runner. They then manipulate the girls into thinking they were part of the decision, e.g. the girls saying they were bored in Costa Rica/wanted to do different things, and Mia 'can't make the content she wants'.. your parents don't move countries because you're bored or because you want to make different youtube videos.

I'm anxious to see what becomes of Mia when she turns 18, she has the confidence to go out in the world but none of the common sense to survive in it.

I agree it’s sad, especially since they spent ~a year building up to living in Costa Rica. It also makes me wonder if them up and moving so quickly really does relate to the rumours going around. Also, it makes me sad that they go through all the trouble of buying them presents for Christmas/birthdays, then get rid of them very soon after. I concur as well, it often does sound as though they‘ve coached the girls to believe they were part of the decision. I worry about Mia as well, she may have money, but has lacked stability for so long she may have a rough time.

If kids aren’t allowed to regularly and safely hanging out with others growing then they don’t get to learn social skills such asking questions, standing up for themselves and reading social cues in others and as a result you pretty much get an adult that’s gullible and easily intimidated by others who are more socially adapt. These kids are going so have such a hard time in the real world and even harder own their own one day since Darren and Georgie is shutting them out of everything and don’t teach them any basic skills. I understand they wanna protect their kids for evil and such but the real world isn’t all paradise, beach and travels.

Imagine it’s like animals being held captive for years and years and one they are being set free in the wild, they won’t survive and won’t know what to do. I’m not calling them animals it’s just an example, the girls are being shut out from the real world and can’t even watch what they want on tv or yt without G&D approving it. Imagine those kids being on their own one day without any basic life skills…

Totally unrelated but this is a video I often come back to for one reason.
Look how bratty Mia is, and the side eye grimace she gives G when Sienna wants to buy something semi-expensive when they’re sharing the money they get. Just wondering if anyone else noticed

Being on YouTube ruined Mias personality and changed her for the worst as sad as it is to say. I remember when I first started watching them years ago back when they first moved to Gran Canaria and Mia was naturally quieter and more shy and she and Sienna never came across spoilt. By the time they moved to Brighton and throughout 2017 Mia started to change and I noticed not only in the video you shared but in a lot of videos how spoilt she became overtime to the point she wasn’t as nice as she once was. In no way am I blaming her for that cause I think a lot of kids who have been thrown into the YouTube life with not only a big family channel making money but also a channel of their own making money could make any child get lost in that world of being able to buy whatever they want , get whatever they want and expect things handed to them. A good example of that now is Karma who expects toys and presents all the time and even Darren said she’s always asking for things because they make so many videos giving the kids gifts. I feel Sienna comes across the least spoiled only because she doesn’t get a lot of attention whereas the other three kids get a lot more attention.
This YouTube life is just too good to be true for all these families and they don’t realise how much damage they’re causing to their kids. They all live in this bubble were life is so easy and the kids think money grows on trees but life isn’t easy and no matter how much money you have that doesn’t mean you should spoil your kids rotten to the point they develop bad attitudes.
I’m hoping they stay in the uk just cause I think it’ll give them all a bit more normality and maybe wake them up fully to the fact that the bubble they lived in in Costa Rica wasn’t doing them any good. I understand both Georgie and Darren didn’t come from a lot of money so they want to give their kids more than what they had but there’s a way of doing that without overdoing it. Holidays and presents sounds good to any kid but it’s things like an education, friendships and just a stable life with a place you can call home that should be what is most important.

I remember when this video came out how annoyed I felt watching it. You could see how happy and excited Sienna was, especially becuase at this time she didn’t have many toys. I’m pretty sure later in the video Mia goes and buys loads of clothes too and wasn’t concerned about how much it cost

From their recent videos, I feel like Sienna is the much in touch with reality even with no education and social skills. Mia is a lost cause already and Karma is getting worse and worse sorry to say that about kids and they treat Koa like a king as they say. I don’t know what will happen in the future with the youngest but it doesn’t seem good as they are already a pain to watch just for a few mins on YouTube.

Where would Mia find friends though?
She is no longer in school, she doesnt have any hobbies, she doesnt know anyone in London (assuming they are in Ldn) and in all honesty she is has barely any social skills, nor can she relate to two years of lockdown.
She is unfortunately no longer at the age where she can catch up in school and just start going again or spend the afternoon at the playground befriending another child. I also don't think that she would be relatable with her lavish lifestyle and might get used for clout.

I hope they let the three younger ones back to school/nursery.

I'm just catching up this the threads and the videos.

In the Jojo video he gave her a toy husky. Did anyone else get a bit sad when Sienna said she didn't have any teddies and was grateful for Jojos husky.

I'm sure they've done ads for stuffed animals semi recently..really sad if that got rid off all of them and not even kept 1 each. Surely they wouldn't be allowed to sell them. Maybe they were just loans? Which doesn't seem fair.
How do the girls not even have 1 childhood Teddy anymore :(

It saddens me that people have such a negative view of homeschooling in general. I am grateful every day that I was homeschooled. I will never understand why people think you’re getting a proper education just because you go to a “normal” school. To be fair, just because we don’t see them homeschool, doesn’t mean they’re not doing anything. You don’t have to be in school 6+hr a day to get an education. I have a number of friends who homeschool their kids. One of them said her daughters are done in less than 3hrs. Another said some days her 5 kids are done quickly, others they take longer. The others say every day is different. There are so many wonderful benefits to homeschooling, especially when done properly. We really don’t see much about the girls homeschooling, as they focus their videos on other topics. Also, just because you’re in the school system doesn’t mean you’re being socialised, & just because you homeschooled doesn’t mean you’re not getting socialised. The girls absolutely need more friends, but they can take classes as well. They should get their kids involved in activities: Sienna wanted to learn to surf, take surfing lessons. She used to love gymnastics, get her back in a class. Mia used to enjoy rock climbing, again take a class. Try dance or something else for Karma. Again, we can’t say that they are not getting an education just because they don’t show their homeschooling. They tend to focus more one videos that will draw in views, & cheap laughs. Plus, maybe the girls don’t want to focus on school stuff. I am beyond grateful for the fact that I was homeschooled. I never took the SATs or ACTs that people in the US take. Once I finished my homeschooling I first went to Community College to complete my two year degree. Then I had a break before going back to complete a double major & double minor. It truly saddens me to see so many negative opinions on homeschooling. I personally hope it becomes the norm one day. When I have kids they will absolutely be homeschooled. I would never put my child in the school system, not ever.

No one said that homeschooling itself is bad. It's just that whenever the family talks about education, they seem to feel that it's not important. Sienna's writing seems to be below her age level, when they buy school supplies it's mostly craft stuff, and whenever the family talks about their "homeschooling," they mostly talk about how it's so great to learn from nature and take walks. That's not bad in itself but it needs to be supplemented with growing and learning. Homeschooling must be a wonderful thing when done right but they clearly don't seem to do it right. I agree fully with the part about the classes. Sienna seems to have so many talents and interests. If only she could develop them.

Homeschooling done right is a wonderful thing, I think people here are concerned whether the girls are even being homeschooled at this point, they never mention them doing any work with them, there is no educational trips, projects - could have enjoyed heaps of science experiments with Sienna building on her interests.. and then what insight we do get i.e from notes Sienna has written we see poor handwriting, capital letters in the middle of words and things and we can only assume they aren’t progressing the way they should be.

And they don’t call it homeschooling they call it something like unschooling or unhomeschooling. I’ve been on the thread for a while now and none of us have really said home schooling is a bad thing so I don’t understand why people keep bringing that part up, but we have said that it seems like the girls don’t get taught anything beside when it was sponsored craft projects or sponsored language learning.

They were all about getting a proper education back in Gran Canaria and when they went back to England for a while but after that, it seemed like it wasn’t important. I can understand that they have new viewers to please rather than the older ones as we are not kids anymore and their content is obviously aimed at them and not at their old viewers.

I think it’s because they move so frequently. It makes me wonder, when they got Koa the bike for his birthday a few months ago, did they just.. leave it there? Take it?
They waste SO much money on physical objects when they already know they’re not going to stay in a single location long enough to get good use out of it

I agree. I personally don’t see Sienna as selfish, spoiled, or bratty by any means. She seems the most level-headed and seems to be able to keep herself busy without technology, she’s a bright soul with a great future ahead of her… as long as she isn’t restricted as much as Mia is
