but adrian we could have made you so happy! in the way that you actually wouldn’t have been happy at all and filled with angst/pasta but STILL 🥲
And your wife could spend your money shopping in Milan 😂 also how many days do they really need to be at the factory these days? It’s not like it’s a 10 month on site commitment

Adrian wasn't very present at the factory anyway from what I've read, spent a lot of time on work from (2nd) home in South Africa.

Adding this: I got inspired by a post I saw and counted myself just now- since Sunday Formula 1's official instagram page posted 37 posts about Lewis (or including him) 🥰 :coronation:

Me storming out of this thread if McLaren get Newey.
You better tell us what is your verdict about Pierre's fashun here Aidil 😅 (yes I saved the photo, for future use, because he looks as if Estie was raking his pic, I can't 😂 )

PS it would be insane if McLaren got Newey (my bet for now is Newey will not go anywhere for 2025 unless he is really really tempted by designing a car for 2026 and new regs)

Just listening to the Sky podcast and they were singing the praises of how Silverstone is now like a four day festival and how wonderful it is for everyone and there were people there not even that fussed about watching the racing......I do sometime feel like I'm going mad! I'd much rather there was only the racing going on and people who like the actual fracking cars going fast could afford to go but maybe its just me

I'm all for having stuff on for when there is no on track action, especially at somewhere like Silverstone when so many camp. But to say people going don't care about racing is insane. And if making it more affordable can be done by not having Martin Garrix or Will.I.Am or whoever doing a DJ set then it seems a no brainer

ADRIAN YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO JOIN FERRARI SO BAD I CAN SENSE IT

also, accurate:

YES , Adrian for Sharl and Lewis! ADRIAN, do you need a photographic evidence to see how irresistible this possibility is?

That tweet 😅 I was stuck in traffic yesterday and I listened to the last episode of redflags with Guenther, "wankah hours" (it is separate from their redflags podcast) and Guenther had good observations about it. In general I have to say, the podcast with him is interesting, he totally doesn't give a duck and reveals some cool stuff - not in spilling the tea invasive way, but more the behind the scenes/his prospective way. I only listened to 3 episodes so far but they were all interesting.

I haven't listened to the main Redflags post Silverstone episode yet, the one with drivers as cheeses, but once I do I will write down their cheese/drivers pairing (from the snippet I know they said Lewis is an aged parmesan and I agree for now) 😅

As someone who can only afford General Access you have to get there for gates opening set up camp to get a good spot and you don’t leave the entire day (rotating toilet breaks) so for the last three years I could honestly not tell you what else was going on around the track and at the end of the day you’ve been up since 5 your blood knackered so the night time entertainment forget it all of which you pay £400-£500 to enjoy 🤣 (sorry for the rant didn’t get to go this year because the tickets prices were just extortionate and then you’ve got people who aren’t there for the races but the entertainment just winds me up)

Rant away!! I think Martin was saying some fans were hanging around to see the drivers rather than watching the action on the track.and this was down to the drive to survive factor. I hate the gate keeping of the sport (as a teen girl who loved it been there done that!!!!) but you know I quite liked it being a niche geeky sport that wasn’t the big entertainment thing it is now 🙈

There are enough festivals to be going on with without turning a sporting event into one. Like sure, given you have so many people camping I can see that putting stuff on for them to do in the evening seems a reasonable idea....even if I'm sure plenty of folk also just want to chill, eat dinner and pass out. But going wild to the point of people going for the entertainment rather than the racing is just 🙄

Kinda wish there was F1 this weekend. I am mostly over my Covid now but just had one of those weeks where nothing has gone right and I feel like a failure at everything in life and woah boy, tis a lot.
