Her dad Carlos is portuguese. Then the mum is from near London. I think they grew up in Lisbon- not sure. Probably in between though. They own properties in Lisbon and Cascais, as well as in London (well, Croydon in the Surrey area). They all speak portuguese though- so definitely well immersed within that culture.

Well first time buyers here will typically need a 15% deposit and the average one bed in London zone 2-4 is £450,000-500,000 so definitely need more than 30k.

I wonder who she's living with now. I guess her friend from university (I can't remember her name but she moved in after Anushka moved out) is still there but that still leaves one room. The area she's in isn't cheap at all so I imagine they'd need a third roommate, unless Lucie moves in too ...

What did them in, I wonder? I'm not a business person but I thought the mugs and hoodies both sold out, so it had initial success. The coffee was hyped as the next thing and suddenly the whole thing is over. I'm confused!

Not looking down on her, she seemed so passionate about criminal law that I presumed she would rather practice law in something she loves yet earns average salary compared to something her heart might not be in completely yet gets payed a ton. You say that but she went to private school, she’s also just graduated form a degree in theatre? She’ll have connections, someone she knows will have worked in that industry? It’s not uncommon. As the saying goes, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know

I’m just getting this from her Linkedin tbh its public if anyone wants to stalk lol you can see that she actually didn’t go to private school at all and has worked in theatre since 18 alongside uni which makes me think she’s acc worked to be where she is. It’s who you know though so she will have definitely built up connections in the industry you’re right

I was a bit weirded out at that comment, not gonna lie. Not everybody can be the best at their job anyway??? As long as you do what you're supposed to do, there's no need to be the absolute best at what you do. It's a very toxic mindset to have, in any aspect of your life, and one that's quite immature imo.

I think she just meant that she wasn't the most "driven". She did her work but she wasn't THAT type - I don't know much about the legal equivalent but for med, you know the types that are always wanting to learn and do more? They stay to see the surgeries, they volunteer first to try everything, they jump in on cases.

If you sort by oldest, she has hidden all of her videos before 3rd year of uni. She has been regularly making videos since school so this is like 4+ years of content.

Sounds like she started off keen and confident like many graduates (myself included ) only to find the daily grind a bit depressing and soon you stop raving about your workplace when you realise they don't care about you.

I can imagine working for a magic circle firm is quite fast paced and that must be tiring.

She now has outside interests of work too, she has a relationship now so I imagine some of her work is wearing thin

Compared to older videos she almost sounds lazy (not in the literal sense, more like there is a lack of enunciation) when she's talking. I think she normally sounds very animated so it's more obvious than it would normally be

I don't think it's that shocking that someone would want to date Eve? Or is it that people are surprised someone so wealthy hasn't gone for someone of equal wealth?

I wouldn't even say that their wealth is going to be that hugely different either
Obviously Eve can't afford private helicopters and the like, but good holidays and travelling would be within her budget and she likely has enough money to spend on luxuries

I'd understand surprise if Eve was a working-class person with working-class approach to money but that's not exactly the case
