She's currently patting herself on the back in her Instagram stories for how creative and how much research she's been doing and oh god, she's doing a Roe v Wade video...

After the tasteless, exploitative, tone-deaf Alec Baldwin video and the two fluff messes that followed, she should not be allowed anywhere near this kind of serious subject matter. She's learned nothing.
A legal take regarding this might actually be interesting as a lot of the conversation seems to be driven by people’s own opinions - which is fine and understandable, but is also slightly removed from how the law deals with it. Given that I’ve seen TikToks trying to seemingly incite violence against those judges, it may be good for the conversation and Eve might be a good person for that because she appeals to younger audiences, though I doubt she appeals to many Americans

Granted, she has problems with the way she has been doing these videos already so I’m not entirely sure she will actually do anything worthwhile

I wouldn’t call her going to the office desperate. I am not a lawyer (but I am in an industry with very similar work/life balance if not worse) and going to the office is sometimes the best thing I can do for my sanity. It gets incredibly lonely and boring at home and there are always people to talk to in the office. If I am working until 1am I have to actually get home so that gives me a bit of break between work and sleep so that I have some time to get my brain ready for bed instead of just getting up from the chair and throwing myself on the bed. The setup is better because even though we got basically every electronic we need for home office it is still not the same as the full office setup. The other thing is that there is food in the office provided for us that I don’t have to cook, order or make any effort towards making and I think most big law firms also have this. These are just my reasons Eve could also have different ones but overall I don’t think going to the office is desperate.
Cool, that's fair enough.

She posted something on her story about 'getting back to normal' because a coffee shop near work was open. Girlfriend is in for a shock in the next few weeks....
Where I live is one of the places now in local lockdown. We most certainly are not getting back to normal, and this reinforces my belief that London is a separate entity to the rest of the UK

I wonder why has the gf has Lisbon in her bio? Is she half Portuguese?
Her dad Carlos is portuguese. Then the mum is from near London. I think they grew up in Lisbon- not sure. Probably in between though. They own properties in Lisbon and Cascais, as well as in London (well, Croydon in the Surrey area). They all speak portuguese though- so definitely well immersed within that culture.

I did note she referred to sleeping with her girlfriend, who obviously doesn't live with her, and skating around how that hasn't been legal as far as I recall at any point in their relationship...
I did notice this as well, here I was thinking we weren't supposed to be having overnight guests and definitely haven't been allowed to for a looooong time

Thought this was funny. Someone posted this comment on Roll on Friday (a website where a lot of lawyers gossip). They’ve redacted the persons name but 100% seems to be talking about Eve.

I’m in the industry myself and I can’t think of anyone else it could be about. Plus they refer to a “managing associate” which is a known Linklaters position/title (99.9% of other firms use “Senior Associate”). Basically seems no one wants to work with her, may explain why she’s doing a random start up seat now.
Is this why she got the tech secondment?

I wonder what Eve really looks for in a partner, I thought she'd be more attracted to someone like her in the sense of hard-working and wanting to be financially independent. Even though her gf has a job, as someone mentioned she's wholly dependent on her parents?
Tbf I think her girlfriend graduated last year if I’m not wrong and is already the marketing manager of a London theatre! So I think shes likely pretty hard working and driven too just persuing a very different career

Still, I guess I just don't understand how clothes would link to your sexuality itself since I believe we should be more neutral with our opinions on other people's clothes and don't apply labels to them. Like what kind of clothes qualify as queer - it would have to mean that more "quirky" clothing choices suggest you're of a XYZ sexuality whereas some people would want to wear some clothes just cause they like the style without labelled as queer and be labelled with some stereotypes. Like sure, wearing a t-shirt with a phrase pointing out to you being queer would work but, like with Eve, wearing more bold colours shouldn't in any way suggest that f.ex. you're a lesbian cause why would it. Personally I don't dress up in any distinct way nor I am in any way against it I just feel it goes in the wrong direction of highlighting the stereotypical approach to queer people.
I mean, there are a ton of small signifiers that someone could do (ie. Lesbians and the thumb ring). There is a historic link to wearing specific clothes and presenting as queer (colours, scarves etc) so there is a link there.

From reading the reddit thread it seemed like she's not even really 'in tech' & there was some skepticism at her describing herself as a 'woman in stem' now. She's still with Linklaters, just in a division that manages an in-house software. It's probably a good stepping stone to a job at a tech company down the line though!

It would be great if she would deconstruct the toxic culture and spill insider tea about the awful realities of Magic Circle life, but she won't because she still works there.
I might be wrong but I presume that she signs an NDA or has some sort of clause like that built into her contract.

genuinely like why bother?? it's not good content and it's not like she needs the money from it
Because it’s the legal side, she’ll be locked into a contract! But I don’t know why she needs to make videos at all any more, yes when she was a student for money etc but now…. She was stupid accepting this

Probably delayed cause of coronavirus. Manufacturing difficulties, problems with shipping, people not being able to spend lots of money etc.
