What are the lockdown rules in London right now?
Same as the rest of the UK no mixing households unless your in a support bubble, neither of them lives alone as far as I know
Based on the fact she got a girlfriend in a pandemic, I’d say she’s been breaking lockdown rules and tiered restrictions all along

Why would you have a public account then...just go private..
She can't bait her employer as effectively with a private account would be the reason I expect. The impression I've got of Eve is that she is a narcissistic cunt so I think she enjoys the public display of it all to be honest.

You would have had a significant amount of cultural capital in order to pass the 11+, you’ll find some parents will try and get their children in both, they are similar because they both require privilege, section on anything: money, Gender, religion elevates the school because you have to know the system to get into it aka being able to afford to live into the catchment area or baptising your child. It all adds to the end result
Sure, as I said there's privilege involved but speaking for myself and every single person in my friendship group, none of us were even middle class (my family and at least half the others were on benefits), none religious. You do you if you seriously think that a free grammar school that tests on academic success (again - as I've said - a privilege) is the same as a private school that costs thousands of pounds to go to, has a whole culture built around it, heavily favours applications from siblings, friends, donors. It's not the same thing. For one you need massive amounts of money or the connections to get the scholarship (or even know it exists), for the other you need the privilege to achieve well on the tests - which can at least be gained by having parents and teachers push you rather than by having direct connections. One is significantly more achievable for people with low income. Agree to disagree, I guess.

Fr i wanna be as rich as the gf lol. I wonder if eve feels outcompeted or low for not being at the same level as the gf
I think it depends... the girl will be relying on her parents, where as eve probably thinks she can compete as she’s on decent enough wage to be treating her to stays at £600 hotels

Really?? Even after nearly 2 years of her being out of the lpc she doesn’t have a training contract? That seems kinda unbelievable
Thats quite interesting actually. We know Eve was "doing the right" things to get a TC with her 2:1 grades, vacation schemes, Bristol Law Society committee positions and her Pro-Bono society. Raina seemed to be at a good standing too with top tier grades (1st's in about everything with some awards), vacation schemes and part-time work. Anushka did a lot of extra stuff at university too but my guess is that her grades were too low.

Where I worked it wouldn’t have been allowed although there was a picture posted of her here, where her belly button was showing and that would have been against the dress code of my law firm as well, so who knows maybe Linklaters has more relaxed rules for this 🤷‍♀️
I was looking to see if I could find some stuff about their dress codes, they definitely have made moves to make it a bit less gendered

Sort of funny given Eve's stuff about dressing more masculine

Did anyone spot on her insta last night what looked like a romantic meal? Definitely side eyeing that if she's breaking lockdown again.

Yes there are expectations as in stereotypes but they don't come from workplace itself but people in general. Judgement comes from "normal" people first and foremost - family!, friends, acquaintances, cashiers, everyone, not from corporate dress code which as such has to be basically neutral - and during work hours you're representing the company not yourself as such.

Besides, in my opinion, when exaggerating your sexual preference (as far as I know Eve is lesbian and it doesn't refer to her gender identity as such) through clothes and making it your main personality trait like Eve does incorporates these stereotypes even more. People should be able to wear any type of clothes they want without it automatically hinting specifically to their sexual orientation, simply because it's a very private space. I just feel it's very show-offy when it only concerns your personal life. In overall you do you but there is no need to accentuate your private life in the workplace. It's as if you felt more important and special just because of your sexual orientation and had to showcase it even in the office. Like why.
i’m guessing bigger firms like linklaters place an emphasis on being authentic at work and bringing your full self to work though, so i’d say you are encouraged to represent yourself to some extent, as well as the company. and judgement from normal people really means nothing - i couldn’t care less if a cashier looks at me weird because of how i’m dressed (or friends and family even tbh), but i do if it’s my manager or someone who has power over when i get promoted. so although these expectations don’t come from the workplace itself, i get why you’d struggle with being comfortable expressing your masc/fem side at work specifically, because the judgements people make actually matter.
and i don’t think her outfit is exaggerating her sexuality (i don’t think that’s even possible), i think she’s just expressing a bit more of her masculine side - which i agree everyone should be able to do regardless of sexuality. i’m also someone who’s been told being gay is my whole personality and i just don’t think eve is anywhere near as extra as i am, and i doubt she’s very extra about it at work - i cant see her doing anything more than telling colleagues she has a gf when they mention their partners. but even if she is extra af and she’s doing it to ‘show off’, i don’t think it’s a bad thing. i only came out because another colleague was so open about being gay, and there’s so few of us we may as well be loud and proud about it (can you tell it’s my whole personality yet🤡🥲). i think she’s trying to make it her personality on the internet to attract a queer audience though (although obviously not every queer will enjoy that).

It's her 'side hustle', most people caught up in toxic productivity culture etc think it's a necessity these days

Looool. She’s very very obnoxious and RUDE and the sort of girl that looks you up and down if she’s threatened by you. She always went in and out of this posh accent, was so keen to fit in with her boyfriend and his posh mates. Just not my cup of tea tbh.

Karma is a bitch though because she’s the only one from that clique still without a training contract.

I remember seeing the comments about her not being great at her job but I question the validity of those to be honest. If that was true why was she offered an associate position within Linklaters?
Someone has shared the lawyer gossip site before which seemed to be hinting at Eve not being liked

Though obviously the validity of that site is far greater than a random FT comment

Has anyone else noticed that there has been an obvious lack of Eve's girlfriend Lucie on any of her instagram stories recently? I wonder if they have split up?
She mentioned having a girlfriend the other day, I think they might've just realised that plastering her all over Eve's profile might not be the best idea

Minimal restrictions? What? The testing and isolation has been rumbling on for ages! It’s clear to see people who haven’t really been that defected by the pandemic carry this attitude (eve continuing to go on holiday) despite the fact she can afford not to go! It’s selfish and her and Boris can get in the bin, this oh we need to carry on attitude is bullshit, speak to some NHS workers or teacher or care staff and then ask yourself (although eve’s too selfish for this) if it’s all worth it to get “back to normal”
Yes, testing and isolation for international travel has been going on a while. However, the Omicron variant has been central only been central for a few weeks, and if this has been a long-planned event, I don't blame her for taking it. It may not be the smartest move right now, but there comes a point when life has to move on and adjust to living with the COVID virus. You can't honestly sit here and act live Eve is an evil person for going on holiday when half of the country has been for the last few months. The timing isn't ideal I admit, and I think she definitely should have thought about travelling at the moment, but to argue that she's in the same camp as Boris on this one is extreme. She's gone on a holiday to France with her girlfriend, how is that any different to going to a club every night for a week and not testing? She'll have to prove she's COVID free to both leave and re-enter the country, which is stricter than getting into practically any venue in the UK at the moment.

What’s that hat Eve is wearing in her thumbnail of recent video? Why does she look like she’s dressed as a handyman?

I personally didn’t like it. And for exactly that reason. I hate the way she thinks she’s « different » and qUirKy. And I agree about her shitting on people for being in relationships
Yeah, I think she could've had the conversation in a much better way - I get what she was trying to say but she kind of missed the mark a little bit and made it about herself rather than actually having a useful discussion. I get that Youtubing is about yourself and your life but that video could've been way better imo

Tbf I think her girlfriend graduated last year if I’m not wrong and is already the marketing manager of a London theatre! So I think shes likely pretty hard working and driven too just persuing a very different career
The thing is, is it not just some sort of title like how *Fry was promoted to Executive Delivery Boy on Futurama or is she actually leading a team of marketers?

*Example:
()

If so I wonder how they feel about being led by a girl just out of uni and what the result of her marketing leadership efforts are.

Ahh, I just found this- here's a link to the job description and the salary is £25,000 a year-

I doubt that the person who originally posted that (tyrone33) will reply, due to last being online on May 22nd, but I hope that they're a massive lurker of this thread or something because I'm really curious about how they supposedly 'know' that too.

Just a general financial curiosity thing... what would people do if they were similarly on a wage of £107k a year and what would Eve be able to do with that money within the general context of her living and working in London?
I agree! Maybe Tyrone is actually someone who knows them because not all of that info is publicly available eg they have never mentioned Tinder? Seems like too much of a calculated info dump for a random stalker, more like a jealous “friend”…

Because she has no clue what to do with her channel now she's done studying and in a real full time job
If you look at the law videos she did during lockdown they don’t have many views. I think instead of doing she likes she would rather do videos which would get views

also just saw that the new video is an ad...
