From what I have heard from my privately schooled friends, a lot of their parents were prepared to send them to faith-based schools as a second choice
Plus, education inequalities aren't as simple as whether your school was private or not. There are plenty of schools in very good areas that aren't private but are far better than the schools in poor areas

I don't consider it the same thing at all? I went to grammar school and whilst all of us there had to pass the 11+ to get in, it was by no means a school full of the children of rich, influential people. Of course some people there came from private schools or had private tutors, but the majority of us were just regular kids who had good input and encouragement at primary school, at home, or both. Sure there's a degree of privilege and I for one don't think grammar or private schools should even exist (education shouldn't have levels of access at all in my opinion), but they're not the same thing at all.
You would have had a significant amount of cultural capital in order to pass the 11+, you’ll find some parents will try and get their children in both, they are similar because they both require privilege, section on anything: money, Gender, religion elevates the school because you have to know the system to get into it aka being able to afford to live into the catchment area or baptising your child. It all adds to the end result
Sure, as I said there's privilege involved but speaking for myself and every single person in my friendship group, none of us were even middle class (my family and at least half the others were on benefits), none religious. You do you if you seriously think that a free grammar school that tests on academic success (again - as I've said - a privilege) is the same as a private school that costs thousands of pounds to go to, has a whole culture built around it, heavily favours applications from siblings, friends, donors. It's not the same thing. For one you need massive amounts of money or the connections to get the scholarship (or even know it exists), for the other you need the privilege to achieve well on the tests - which can at least be gained by having parents and teachers push you rather than by having direct connections. One is significantly more achievable for people with low income. Agree to disagree, I guess.
They also potentially have better teachers and facilities too. A lot of my teachers left to teach in the local grammar school because it was simply easier from a behaviour standpoint

Grammar school gives advantages but my god it's not the same at all. I knew a lot of people from working class backgrounds who went there, and yeah while my school send a good amount to Oxbridge and other Russel group unis every year it's less about the connections of who they know, but more about the coaching they do with the ones applying.
I'd never deny I had (and still have) a privileged education, but I did NOT get the same privileges as I would if I'd gone to private school.
If she's so wealthy why didn't she go to a private school?? Maybe her parents are the type who think its immoral
I've worked in a lot of schools and there's a far bigger gulf between grammar and crappy comp than there is between grammar and private.
Not everyone who goes to Grammar has rich parents, but every one has parents who care about their education and giving them the best chance possible to succeed in life. Kids don't enrol themselves for the 11+ and it's not an automatic thing; families go out of their way to open up those opportunities to their children.
Edit: also whether or not her family are in the theatre and have direct connections, she's living in Central London on a 25k salary and clearly still enjoying the finer things in life, so it's obvious that there is another source of income and its probably either her parents directly or some kind of trust fund. 25k a year is like 1700 a month and that would barely cover rent, bills and food let alone international holidays, expensive meals out and cultural experiences in her spare time.
Is that possible given the new rules?
What confuses me about Eve and the pandemic:
1) why in nearly 2022 does she still not own a/multiple masks? Whenever we see her in one (rarely) it’s always a disposable one? I don’t know a single person these days who doesn’t have a least a couple reusable ones that they wash and reuse
2) why does she rarely wear a mask? Like even on the tube she doesn’t, despite until recently the tube being the only place where you HAVE to wear one?
3) do you reckon she ever wears a mask? Like when she’s walking round London, going into shops, coffee shops, etc? I don’t think she would
4) Even though she’s showed blatant disregard for the rules the entire pandemic (breaking lockdown rules, not following guidelines, refusing to wear a mask), how tf can she think it’s ok to go to Paris on holiday? Or anywhere on holiday???? Omicron is most prevalent in London and that’s where she’s from? Like come on just stay at home and help keep others safe

Chances are she is for travel purposes. France requires a health pass to enter some areas, and while it's possible she could be walking around without one I see it as sort of unlikely
New rules started on midnight so she must have travelled yesterday before 11PM here (from what I understand anyway)
Either they made some very lucky plans to travel on the 17th, changed their dates or made a spontaneous decision to travel

For such an obviously intelligent girl she has displayed a real streak of irresponsibility and selfishness throughout this entire pandemic. I'm beginning to wonder whether she is a bit of an arrogant narcissist. I hope not as I did genuinely like her when she was a YouTuber at least in her uni days anyway.

her paris trip annoys me so much it's so irresponsible and she literally had no reason (like a family visit) to go there but had the money to spend and not enough reason to consider why it may not be such a good idea <3 why are so many influencers like this

I'm gonna disagree here and say that many people are going on holiday or have booked holidays recently, and if you can why wouldn't you? Until the last week or so there have been very minimal restrictions in terms of travelling, and whilst it may not be the best idea right now, you can't blame people for wanting to move on with their lives and get a sense of normality back.
Minimal restrictions? What? The testing and isolation has been rumbling on for ages! It’s clear to see people who haven’t really been that defected by the pandemic carry this attitude (eve continuing to go on holiday) despite the fact she can afford not to go! It’s selfish and her and Boris can get in the bin, this oh we need to carry on attitude is bull, speak to some NHS workers or teacher or care staff and then ask yourself (although eve’s too selfish for this) if it’s all worth it to get “back to normal”
