It's not that you weren't able to, you just weren't willing to, Eve.

There's nothing stopping her from making a video in her own time and uploading it without accepting sponsorships. She could still monetise it through YouTube's usual ads, too, which would avoid the tonal whiplash of Eve going from parroting information about a serious tragedy to cheerfully shilling for a product she doesn't use. Not every video needs to be a sponsored ad, and it just comes off as desperate, greedy and exploitative.

I was going to ask what the heck for, then I saw the ad and she's just outsourcing all her influencer stuff to other people? I guess the only thing she's picked up from her project management gig so far is to delegate and outsource whatever she can?

If you care so little and have so little creative drive that you have to hand off all your content creator work and pay people to think up, research and edit videos for you, then it's time to call it quits and focus on the day job and spend your free time doing something you actually enjoy.

I mean, if her influencer career isn't generating enough money or holding her attention enough to support her full time, I'm not sure I see the sense in paying her dwindling ad revenue to people to do her work for her. If she's going to be lazy and half-ass everything, she may as well either quit or just go through the motions by herself and just continue ripping off LegalEagle content until her channel dies.

To me, it’s not such a bad thing that she’s pretty much dropped Youtube because her work demands more time. If anything, it shows that working hard throughout her degree got her somewhere. I much prefer her to other studytubers whose only personality trait is studying 14 hours a day (although I do miss her content)

Sorry but how can she be desensitised to murder? She will have done one criminal module years ago during the first year of her LLB, and will have never been involved in a live murder trial. She is not a criminal barrister! Having been to the same uni as her I can confirm there is no way the criminal module has made any of us desensitised to murder

As someone who’s at the same stage in his career as Eve, that stood out to me too. The only way it makes sense to me is if she is actively trying to avoid her coworkers.

If you have a nice setup at home like she does, going to a coworking space has all the downsides of going to the office (except maybe a shorter commute) but with none of the benefits. It’s the worst of both worlds. It screams having problems at either home or at work.

If you read the comments, someone very politely calls her out on the post as a whole and points out why many young lawyers want to return to the office at least part-time.

Also, does she never talk during calls? I would be concerned about my client’s confidentiality if I was talking in the middle of a coworking space surrounded by the same strangers all day long.

Her admitting to talking calls while “on the move” or doing other things also reflects poorly on her. At best it is disrespectful to her coworkers. But for client calls, the clients pay extra for her being on the call. When I was previously on the client side, I had embarrassing conversations with partners about not wanting to pay for people to join calls who didn’t add value. I would be so embarrassed if my current clients told my supervisor that they didn’t want me to join calls because they thought, based on an instagram post, I was dicking around on their dime.

honestly she would be so much better off just making fun vlogs about her life, I'm pretty sure she has enough stuff going on that would be interesting to see, I think her moving vlog was one of her best videos in a while. she is good at making very mundane stuff and everyday life entertaining and aesthetic, that's what I loved about her older videos. wish she would go back to that instead of doing these legal videos she apparently doesn't even do the editing or research for. where's all that creative energy that was apparently so important to her??

I’m guessing she wont be staying at her current role long term and she wants to establish herself as a tech girl but I’m finding it so tiresome how her #brand is becoming being a tech girl as if she’s a software engineer or sth. she works in document automation for the same law firm and she’s not the one coding the software lol ….

I really feel like monetising this content is the most disrespectful part. She claims she "has" to make a living from youtube, but she barely posts (besides from fulfilling her ad contract) and now she's focusing on a legal system that she doesn't have any expertise in at all. Segueing into an advert during a serious video is in such poor taste, especially when this case is so recent. Like, someone died. It's not just lighthearted content for that person's family who are still going through this legal process. Imagine if you lost a family member and then came across a video from someone about the legal case where they suddenly go into an advert to profit off of their death?

Thought this was funny. Someone posted this comment on Roll on Friday (a website where a lot of lawyers gossip).They’ve redacted the persons name but 100% seems to be talking about Eve.

I’m in the industry myself and I can’t think of anyone else it could be about. Plus they refer to a “managing associate” which is a known Linklaters position/title (99.9% of other firms use “Senior Associate”). Basically seems no one wants to work with her, may explain why she’s doing a random start up seat now.

Brags that she's crushing the YouTube game by posting 3 videos in three weeks (two of which were mostly made by someone else) and then immediately takes two weeks off.

Also don’t wanna offend anyone and tbh I don’t see in in Eve’s particular outfit but why would queerness as such have to be expressed in your work outfit? I thought we were leaving the stereotypes and boxes behind, so is the fact she doesn’t wear business dresses anymore supposed showcase she’s a queer person? Like idk to me it sounded a bit off as if wearing dressess and being feminine was not queer whereas quirky outfits = queer ( though I wouldnt necessarily describe that particular outfit as super quirky either way).
