Thought this was funny. Someone posted this comment on Roll on Friday (a website where a lot of lawyers gossip).They’ve redacted the persons name but 100% seems to be talking about Eve.

I’m in the industry myself and I can’t think of anyone else it could be about. Plus they refer to a “managing associate” which is a known Linklaters position/title (99.9% of other firms use “Senior Associate”). Basically seems no one wants to work with her, may explain why she’s doing a random start up seat now.

Yeah the commenter quoted it from the article and later on for some reason Roll on Friday removed the actual quote from the article. I think it was removed because people were speculating who it could be in the comment section.

I watched her video and it's nothing really new to me. I'm also beginning to really side eye people like Eve who spent so long pushing the productivity/study thing and are now going "but that was BAD because CAPITALISM" without saying "hey I heavily promoted and engaged with this and capitalised off the whole productivity movement and I was wrong, I'm sorry"

I'm so confused by this. She made a whole trailer for it! She clearly planned to actually follow through, why pretend it never existed??

Doesn't exactly look great for her in general though, especially as she has an actual job

A lot of things reflect badly on YouTubers but they're basically guaranteed to be set for life and probably won't go into a profession like law

I watched that video and it started off well... it just didn't go anywhere? I felt like it was the first half and was missing the bit with reflections and actions for the future. As someone else said her editing is good and it helps her get away with a lot.

I did note she referred to sleeping with her girlfriend, who obviously doesn't live with her, and skating around how that hasn't been legal as far as I recall at any point in their relationship...

I read some speculation that she was only in the Tech Start-Up because of being allegedly unbearable to work with elsewhere, but then I found some info about the tech start-up rotation and it sounds really competitive? So I'm confused what to think about it at this point.

Eve doesn’t live alone and I doubt the girlfriend does either. Very few people do at that age in London especially as she’s on a low wage art job.

Also seems like she went to meet gfs family for Easter

They both don’t live alone

Eve and her gf have broke the rules to get into a relationships and then travel at Easter but seems the gf is mega rich (the house looked insane) so again probs doesn’t think covid will affect her, before her insta was made private she had multiple photos in the last year with different people hugging them

I mean not that it makes it ok but at this point nearly everyone breaks the rules in some way, and there are a million 'exception' clauses that make it very difficult to tell between legit meetings and not. FWIW I literally work in the healthcare services and even we are confused at times.

Well going to your girlfriends parents is not a legit meeting, neither was even getting a girlfriend in the pandemic!

“Everyone breaks the rules in some way” . Er maybe I’m mad but I haven’t. And if you are going to break the rules be smart enough not to publicise it.

Also I’ve noticed she’s so obviously got so much more time on her hands doing this crappy seat, she’s posting wayyyyy more on insta stories.

Yeah this is exactly what I meant (you worded it a lot better than me haha). Idk how she gets away with it, esp as she's not just an employee but basically works in outreach as well!

With all the discussion about Eve in the industry and how shes been given less desirable seats, does anyone know anything about her housemates? Apparently Raina's doing pretty well for herself in a magic circle firm with competitive seats and even achieved a 1st in her law degree.

She hasn’t mentioned them in ages, I sort of thought eve had moved out but I guess not
