It’s also super lazy of her not even to specify an industry, just ask for internships generally. Like all her followers should probably just know she wants to be a very serious journalist so she’ll only want those kind of internships

I’m not sure she’s grasped the amount of grind needed to break into journalism. Oxford might help but it’s only one part of the picture.

Why doesn’t she just stay in Germany for most of the year, and then go to Spain next summer for a couple of months? And there are lots of remote courses now so she doesn’t need to miss out on the experience of learning Spanish and German. I would have thought doing an online course would be more beneficial than getting a job in a bar

Why do all influencers living in England assume all of their followers do too? Seen so many people post stuff like 'we have got this' and 'hope you're all okay xx'. Other countries (even within the UK, Wales for example), have been in lockdown for ages but influencers seem to think everyone lives in England?

Basically saying that people should be nice and stop messaging her telling her not to go out. She’s saying she can’t get another test because German supplies are limited and you only get them if you’ve been in direct contact/had symptoms. Someone messaged her saying that she’s murdering people by going out. Essentially her message was that she’s stuck to all the guidelines so people shouldn’t be calling her out for leaving her flat.

Also in her new video she said she wanted to be living up north in 5 years time. If she wants to be a journalist I imagine what she wants to do would be mostly based in London. And I thought she hated going back to a working class area when she comes back from uni so why would she want to move up north??

If she wants to do TV journalism, a lot of that is based out of Salford near Manchester.

I think a few universities do it like that, where you work abroad rather than study, probably to help you build up experience working with the language rather than just learning it. But I definitely couldn’t take a year out of uni and do very little work and then get back to studying for my final year

I’m doing a year out (because I couldn’t go abroad for my year abroad) so basically I’m going abroad next year and then final year the year after (very confusing ) but I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, I wish I’d gone into final year straight away. My university is not at Oxford’s standards and I’m worried about returning to studying so I don’t understand why Eve did it voluntarily? I know everyone is different but it does confuse me!

I don’t want to defend her but if the system in Germany is the same as the U.K. the track and trace phone you every day and they ask how you are and about your symptoms and they tell you from what day you no longer have to isolate so I’m assuming she was told she can go out. Agreed I personally would isolate longer and definitely wouldn’t put it on Instagram but that is the rules and she won’t be the only one doing it
