Oh well…. Thank god that’s over! See you next year guys xxx
But that's exactly what it is. All this painting their nails different colours, writing ceasefire in ogham writingI would looove to have an actual discussion about Bambie and people's thoughts on how they've been presenting themselves throughout the contest but this just ain't it
Like it makes me laugh that they spent the week speaking out about the censorship and the whole situation with having Israel there, but then it comes to the actual final and the most they do is have a watermelon pillow with them and relate everything they say back to their gender-identity. It's coming off as trying to use the whole situation to gain the protest vote![]()
I took a picture of the brief moment the UK was on the left hand side of the board for posterity

If I recall Sonia was pre-selected as our representative in 1993 and there was a programme where viewers voted which song she was going to perform at the contest. She ended up coming 2nd at Eurovision missing out on the top spot by 1 pointEither way we never did very well out of it![]()
You put my thoughts into words! That's exactly how I felt about Olly. Also, Sam was completely unironic about the whole thing. He looked like he was having the time of his life and was totally on board with Eurovision. He actually took it seriously. Whereas a lot of British acts come across as being a bit above it all, like Eurovision is beneath them or something. Even Olly gave the impression at times that, as an established act, he would just swoop in and wow everyone, like Eurovision was his for the taking. Audiences don’t like that.
It's one of the most expensive countries to visit as a touristIs Switzerland very expensive then? I keep seeing a lot of comments saying it
See I thought that was one of the best songs of the night. Complete banger and deserved to do so much better . It's top ten on UK iTunes chartThe last performance "rave", the one with the silver thigh boots was one of the worst of the night.
Oh I completely agree, if our political leaders had anything like a workable strategy to deal with these horrendous wars in places like Gaza, then we wouldnt be getting into this kind of mess, where what should be an innocuous song contest is being held up to account for the failure of world leaders! If all these “super power” leaders can’t fix what’s going off in Palestine I don’t see what a few singers in a song contest can do other than show their support and spread the message the best they can. I’m not sure what a mass walk out would’ve achieved really. The whole show is cancelled? Yeah it would’ve sent a message but it would’ve also been spinned let’s face it “we can’t even have an innocent song competion anymore etc”. Maybe Israel should have stepped down but we know that’s never happen, maybe they should’ve been disqualified and then there’d have been antisemitism calls. I think the whole think was rock and a hard place really.
Hes been receiving death threats at home, as in posted to his actual home, his mum has been as well, he has been regularly followed and harrassed when out and about. He loves eurovision, but he has hated it for the last few months.
He improved sooo much with each performance tooHe never sang live until february
