Very enjoyable episode. It answered a lot of questions!

That being said I was never a fan of Kat’s character and the actress has a history of racism, so maybe it’s a good thing lmao.
Can you tell us more about it??

I never liked the Kat character but i always liked Ethan. I always saw him as the opposite character compared to Nate. Like charming and caring about the person you love, not being aggressiv. I hope they will give him a bit more space in season 3.
I also like the Lexi plot this season, at season 1 i was kind of wondering why she's in the story, i saw no function for her but now she's one of my favorites.

In the teaser for next week
it shows Kat with Ethan and people have said she has more to do this episode so I guess that will be resolved earlier

also
there were leakers on twitter that said
-Nate has a redemption arc and gets the DVD of his dad and Jules from Maddy, giving it to Jules
- Lexi’s play is I think the finale they said and Fez/Ashtray have another police raid as Faye ratted them out to save herself and her bf. It’s said that Ashtray dies and Fez doesn’t make it to Lexi’s play
- Gia, Rue’s sister, is taken by trafficking people after being mistaken for Rue in the finale?

this is all from twitter as I say so could probably be BS but with the way the season is going I can see it happening!

I hope none of this is true

Love this show. It’s just so well directed and acted. In some ways, the characters come second to how it all looks / the general feeling of it.
Thought the opener of S2 E1 was incredible - and I did love a Fez-heavy storyline.
The casting for the younger versions of the characters is 👌🏼
This! The younger versions look exactly like them all it’s so crazy

I can't wait for Lexi's play. I really hope she doesn't end up on drugs and I hope Fez doesn't go to jail!

Edit I don't think she would end up on drugs as that is more Rue's journey and would ruin the show completely!

I don't get why they have made Sydney's character the way they have, desperate for love/attention when the flashback of her growing up showed that she was the most loved and had the most attention, wouldn't it make more sense for her sister to be the attention whore?
She mostly had unwanted attention from men though. Her parents spilt up and her Dad eventually left them all for drugs and then her Mum hit the bottle.

Ok probably controversial but I didn't like the play:cry:
I think it would’ve served it’s purpose better earlier in the season, especially around the midpoint. Putting it over the last two episodes makes it feel like filler imo.

I’d planned to watch it this morning and didn’t even think and went on to instagram first thing - first post on my feed instantly spoiled the ending 🤣 nevermind. Still gunna watch it!
i’ve watched it now

I actually enjoyed it, it was very moving. Rue’s death was actually really upsetting i thought. The scene of her and Fez 💔 made me tear up, because it obviously happened in real life to him. 😭

The bit that is living rent free in my mind at the moment is the bit when Cassie’s mum tells her to lay off Rue because Rue is a ‘good girl’. So is Cassie, but her own mother doesn’t think so. That’s really sad.
Cassie’s arc is what reeled me into Euphoria (her meltdown in the toilets scene was on my IG). there’s something about her being overlooked by everyone that explains the whole 4am routine to ‘perfect’ herself.

Saw episode 5. I thought it was chaotic and a bit too grim about the realities of addiction.
Loved the part where Rue outed Cassie and can’t wait for the fall out of that.
Too much Rue and not enough everyone else.

Sydney Sweeney is the most overrated thing out of that show, ok actress and average looking imo.

alexa should have been the breakout star, but hollywood still loves them a busty blonde

Alexa hasn't even been booked for anything lol she does nothing PR or social media wise so she can't be compared to Sydney who has been grafting and working overtime to make a name for herself since she was on Handmaids Tale.

I’ve only watched the first two episodes of season 2 but the Nate and Cassie car scene in episode 1 had me anxious and on edge 😭😭 and then I had a dream that I was a passenger in a car that was going too fast and I couldn’t slow them down, thanks Euphoria 🤣

Gotta say episode 3 is gruesome but like normal euphoria. It's kind of redeemed itself and im excited for episode 4.

I think Jules not really noticing that Rue is off her block all the time is fairly realistic. No one else, apart from Gia has ether. Rue does seem a bit dopey, even when sober.
None of them have noticed that Nate and Cassie are shagging, Cassie losing her mind has only really been noticed by her mother, and Maddy, but not enough for her to voice any concern.
Kat hates her boyfriend and even he has not noticed.
Lexi is not noticing as she is getting her revenge with her play, and having a little thing with Fezco. The entire cast has not noticed any of the posters about her play plastered all over the school.
They are all a bit self involved. It’s very enjoyable.
lmao!! this is so true when you put it like this they're all oblivious but to be honest I think it's a reflection of our society today everyone is so glued to their phone we really don't notice shit about the people closest to us

@LaBlonde you’re right about the writing
just read an article that says Nate got Cal arrested for child pornography, yet last week he didn’t want anyone to know because it would ruin the business?!

Yes definitely, Handmaid's Tale is another one where it just does what it wants and doesn't really care what the audience thinks as they know people will still watch anyway.
