I decided not to watch S3 after watching the trailer and deciding it was possibly not the show for me anymore. From the reviews I've read it's looking like I made the right call. I know it's early days, but the first episode sounded like a dud (and also totally gross!) and I think maybe they should have finished up after S2.

Is anyone now watching this (and other previous Sky Atlantic shows) on the new HBO Max app? If so are you finding the ads are actually cutting into the show, meaning you miss parts. I’m finding it so frustrating. I was on an online chat to them earlier and apparently this isn’t a known issue and I just got the typical troubleshooting steps of restarting devices and making sure software is up to date etc.

I just got it without ads, just upgrade

I think Rue will go back to the Amish family from episode 1 if she gets out of the Laurie situation alive. I'm not convinced anyone will die other than maybe Alamo or Laurie.

Also re the swat team, maybe they are after Laurie, she seems like a bigger fish with much scarier connections for things like people trafficking that Fexco and Ashtray don’t have.

this would definitely have more credibility, but then again this is a show about the kids and Laurie is a peripheral character. though Laurie being the target of the SWAT team would make Rue’s life easier.

Drake wasn’t one of the script writers on the show. He’s barely even an executive producer in the traditional sense from reading various articles about the show.
also - the actors on the show are all adults. Professional actors. Acting. They aren’t underage.

Thanks for the obvious explanation. It's still in a highschool setting with high-school characters. It just off putting. But if people vibe to it, more power to them.


Also finally came across what the blind about Barbie Ferreira was about (nothing iffy or sexual), and it's still alleged, but I understand her position. Not sure if we're allowed to discuss it under spoilers or not.
