She still could be sectioned here in America if her mother and the family attorney wanted it to happen. But they don't and they are the only ones who have the power to do it correctly.
Eugenia's BMI, her health scare on camera, her body weight that meets the clinical definition of end stage starvation, her vital signs which must be dangerously abnormal, a bone density scan that would show the bones of a 90 year old, etc. ALL of it would be revealed if she was sectioned and made to get medical care that might save her life.
The bottom line is that is just might be too late for medical intervention to make a difference. But at least the mother and the Cooney family attorney could try. I don't see how they sleep at night.
