She still could be sectioned here in America if her mother and the family attorney wanted it to happen. But they don't and they are the only ones who have the power to do it correctly.

Eugenia's BMI, her health scare on camera, her body weight that meets the clinical definition of end stage starvation, her vital signs which must be dangerously abnormal, a bone density scan that would show the bones of a 90 year old, etc. ALL of it would be revealed if she was sectioned and made to get medical care that might save her life.

The bottom line is that is just might be too late for medical intervention to make a difference. But at least the mother and the Cooney family attorney could try. I don't see how they sleep at night.

There was a poster in Instagram called “buried crows” or something similar and she was the thinnest person I have ever seen who is still alive. Oddly, Eugenia looks healthy compared to this poor woman. What a scary, scary existence for both of them.

It’s terrible to see this unfold online so publicly.
This girl needs sectioning, and urgent medical help… but her mother seems to be standing in the way of this happening. It just seems such a severe case that no one can / is intervening?
My heart broke for this girl during that last live, still giving the sign, trying to smile through it and quickly getting off screen. What a sad story.

I think there was stuff like her basically not being a good influence on people. I’d say she’s thinner than Eugenia and she keeps going…

I’m not too informed but last time I posted about feeling sorry for her I was told she’s a mega racist and out and out nasty character. I’m sad for her illness but stand corrected on her views

I feel sadness for Eugenia's illness, too. I don't care about her as a person or anything. I don't like her, I don't like what she's doing, I don't care for her. But I do feel sadness and compassion when it comes to her illness. I think unless is someone is truly truly deeply evil (like we know the types i'm taking about right? some leaders of some countries.... ) I think it's important to still feel compassion and sadness for each other. I think as a whole society gets better if we have more understanding, compassion and sadness for each other. I think those kind of connections make us grow closer in stead of even further apart than we already are. I think if we can find a connection with someone even if we don't agree with someone etc. it makes the world a better place.
A lot of us have or have had or know/have known someone with an ED, so we have a much better and deeper understanding for this horrible illness. There is nothing wrong with feeling sadness for someone, knowning what they are going through and how much they are suffering. It's not wrong to feel sadness for someone else's suffering. A lot of people here seem to feel guilt or shame others for feeling that way and that makes me sad. We can absolutely hate everything someone is doing (like exploiting their illness) but still feel sadness, too. Those things can be present both at the same time.

I am opposite. I feel more sorry for people who are racist. They clearly have either been brought up with fear and narrow minded views or they are incredibly sheltered and /or stupid.
They truly deserve my pity and sympathy.

It's hard to think of a thread title given the gravity of the situation. Saw some clips of EC with her mother on Reddit. Of course they were at Disney World. Very sad situation. I think Deb is mentally ill. Here she is lumbering around Disney, shopping bags in tote, while her daughter trails behind her starving herself to death.
