Yes I agree, it is very sad the amount of people living on the street. I was always approached for money, etc. It pays to have your wits about you. I doubt Emmylou would understand any of this. I wonder if she hasn’t posted anything, because she’s had her phone stolen. Hehe, dumbass.

She probably paid for this trip from maybe no refund policy funds of the NY trip that didn't happen because of covid and the Bali trip that didn't happen either.

Hrm yeah that’s a good point actually. It grinds my gears when I hear that martyr mum kind of talk but there does seem to be a lot of random unplanned tit going on

Providing kids with their most basic needs is not being a “martyr Mum”. If you have no interest in parenting and truly can’t provide a life-long commitment to anyone other than yourself….. don’t have kids.

I hate the martyr mum tit too. I’m en route to LA right now - mine is work - however leave my kids and husband in the same situation as EL’s. And the questions of what happens if the kids get sick, or he gets sick, or the kids ‘just need mum’. Well, my husband is a capable adult who can deal with one of our children being unwell, can soldier on if he gets sick, and my kids are resilient enough to get through most things, and aware enough that their dad can do ALL the things I do both logistically and emotionally. Being a mum is definitely a blessing, but those buggers are bloody expensive and if mum has to work away sometimes to find the seemingly endless extracurriculars and ski trips and new shoes that HAVE to be bought and the 15 different sets of Peter Alexander pyjamas etc etc, then that’s just the way life has to go. Snarking on EL is fantastic coz duck she does a lot wrong, but the general vibe of fathers being incapable of caring for their own children in the absence of their mums is rubbish.
