Its a painfully realistic outcome. Now all we will see is the crumbling and im guessing self destruction of Charity.all her old truama, now this and being so similar its not going to end well.

Would that be considered grape?
Technically no because, in English law, females cannot commit grape. The legal definition of grape is non-consensual penetration with a pen. Some countries have expanded the definition of grape to include digital grape (non-consensual penetration with a finger or toe), but in England [and Wales] it's a separate charge of assault by penetration.

Especially with Jacob being a medical student who works at the same hospital. Surely he would have access to the same records Todd saw?
He would have access, yes, but looking at them without a valid reason (parentage would not be accepted as a valid reason) would be classed as a serious breach of confidentiality. Medical students who look up their own records are given warnings and a serious talking to. If he looked up Sarah's, Charity's or Layla's he'd face suspension or expulsion from his university, and potentially be prevented from ever being able to register as a doctor in the future.

I googled. The legal term is "assault by penetration."
So it's not called grape but if found guilty, it can lead to a prison sentence.

Todd overheard big mouth Chas with Ross. That made her look at the notes. Jacob wouldn’t be looking

I haven't watched any this week just reading here.
So charity went to the police, but nothing came of it?
So has Todd gone now?

Charity made her statement, Todd was interviewed and lied her way through it.
Yes something will become of it - she went off in her car at the end of the episode.

I was told my babies blood type when they was born, surely Jacob being the medical student could maybe work out that he nor Sarah are her parents!

We don't generally test a baby's blood group at birth in the UK, unless mum is rhesus negative, or if the baby is unwell and/or needs surgery. Sarah's blood type would be on record as she's had a transplant and she's got a blood disorder. Jacob knows his from the blood donation day where he gave a pint (almost an armful lol)
No-one would test Layla's blood group, so I'm not sure how Todd would prove her parentage from this alone? (I may have missed the reason?)

Hard agree with the poster who said that the actress is playing Todd's part well. Caroline Harker is a fine performer, and if the Emmerdale producers had any sense, they would have brought her in as a partner for Mary or as a new business or farm owner, someone with the potential for a long stint in the village, and in the soap. She's making the best of a sordid, grubby little storyline, and these increasingly clumsy attempts at "issue-led" episodes are completely bloody tiresome.

And they have amazing hearing in soaps- Todd wasn’t even near them when they were talking! - heard every word 🙄 I struggle to hear himself from the other side of the table 😝

grape in unfortunately categorised, it's sickening that there's even levels.
CAT A
CAT B
CAT C

Unfortunately female on female is not the same. This is why male on male can also be proved.

"Have you been affected by tonight's episode?"
Actually, yes I have. Mack is a real hottie, but he looks like a gorilla in those shorts, he's so hairy! I'm traumatised! 😭😭😭
