They did this with Celia and Ray, too many storylines.
I feel like those end scenes were completely unnecessary.
Just me that thinks that was bleeping brutal?
It was brutal but Todd played it exceptionally well. The way she tapped her fingers along the back of the sofa, smirking, while working her way along to Charity, knowing full well what she was going to do was an astute, devious move from the character. It was an 'no you are not going to take advantage of Charity' from me before she did it. What I like from it is that Vanessa had to coerce her into bed when she was putting her off with lets take it slowly and Charity didn't have to try, the woman saw that Charity has spirit and Vanessa is just a wet annoying blanket. It was very well done.
Let me get this straight, you have someone who is blackmailing you and that someone comes into your house and you don't think to kicking her out? I dunno, are they thinking that Charity had to be drunk and passed out in order to be assaulted by Todd? Charity rebuffing her was the impetus for the assault?
The way I read into it was that Todd didn't really need the money it was about control and upsetting someone else's life as her as been. Between the bullying of Jacob and he wasn't the first, her divorce and her father dying she was only too glad to push misery onto someone else after what she herself had lost. While blackmailing Charity she had come to find her a more attractive, feisty person than Vanessa and enjoyed seeing how far she could push her to keep the secret. The pomposity of Todd being rejected by a drunken Charity then led the the assault. Kicking people out of your house is a standard for normal folk but in Emmerdale nobody locks their door and all and sundry wander in.
I wonder if this will be dropped like a stone in a couple of months like Lydia's grape was ?
So Todd will be arrested tomorrow and just wait for Vanessa to go defending her against Charity.
Can the next death in the village please be Vanessa?
Did anyone recognize the cop interviewing Charity? I always wondered where Curly and Emma went after Weatherfield. She must have got a transfer from Newcastle to Hotten.
I was wondering where I knew her from, it was the voice.
She is also in the current Wren tv advert.
She is only there for a "guest stint" and isn't going to become a regular.
