Her friend. Ffs. Prestons answer to Rachel
Dolezal for real. I hate this type of appropriation. I can guarantee that this white girl who is cosplaying as a black woman gets props for her braids and can wear them to work. What kind of world do we live in when I as a black woman wouldn’t dream of wearing braids to work because I’m afraid of being seen as “unprofessional?” Make it make sense.

As for Emma, she’s boring and I’m surprised she hasn’t started transition into a black woman too. Her veneer of fake confidence is transparent and wearing thin.
Yesssss! That’s what’s so awful about this, it’s using blackness for clout whilst benefitting from white privilege.

I thought Brandon was fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!! Hahaha
Me too lol, then again my type is a bit geeky and scrawny lmao

Anyone seen her story? I have to bite my tongue so hard when people say that you can't tell someone's health by looking at them.

No, you can't know for sure, but when you get above a certain bmi certain health issues are almost 100% inevitable. That doesn't mean you're not worthy of respect, hot, amazing etc etc but it does mean that people are justified to challenge your claims that you're healthy/it's fine to be fat.

And obviously, unwarranted rude comments about weight are stupid but when you're really putting your life out there and profiting off of "influencing" viewers (as well as putting out health/fitness related content), you are sending a message.

As I've said before I like Emma but this is something that does get to me. Also, her blackfishing friend is bleeping spooky and it is making me second guess the type of person she's cool with associating with?

Cultural appropriation in the form of blackfishing is imo an odd grey area, because I don't think it's outright racism/prejudice. Like people like Emma clearly don't hate other races or think poorly of them. But as explained further up the thread it's ignorant, offensive depending on who you ask and at best just a misguided and odd attempt at self expression and being interesting

I’ve always found Emma to be one of the more tolerable ‘body posi’ influencers as she isn’t one of those who pushes the narrative that obesity is healthy, at least not to the same extent as many of the others. I also get the sense from Emma that given the choice she would lose the weight - I don’t know if she’s ever mentioned dieting or trying to lose the weight in the past? Would be interested to know. She is still very young IMO and I wouldn’t be surprised if her healthy eating/exercising as of late is her testing the waters. Feel sorry for her in a way though bc she’s made a name for herself being a body posi influencer and I find that circle can be really toxic when others dare to speak up about losing weight. Just look at the response to Adele recently.
Do agree with what others have said about the black fishing - think she absolutely fetishises black/mixed people. Her friend is a disgrace, don’t know how she can associate with that?! Ultimately she is a very privileged white girl from a rich family and I think she tries to hide that.

Does anyone remember that article about Emma in The Sun last year about her and Brandon's sex life? I'm sure he said he enjoys watching porn with bigger women and body-shamed an ex of his for having fake boobs.

(Don't wanna link here cos I don't personally wanna give The Sun the clicks but it's fairly easy to find on Google)
The only position that’s tricky is when he picks me up...
I’m sorry but there is no way he ever picked her up he was tinnnnnnyyyyy 😂😂😂

Sometimes she looks not as curvy in her photos and then sometimes she looks bigger.... I think the girl is playing me or I'm losing it in lockdown loll

Also I'm looking forward to her doing her food journey from childhood video. It would be to interesting to know how people's habits spiral so out of control. The heaviest I have ever been is a size 14 and that's with holiday weight, Christmas weight and happy marriage weight and huge food portions and takeaways lol. I know everyone has a different metabolism and Emma's parents have fish and chip shop

Reckons she’s a size 20 but wears a size 24, now I would get that if she were constantly wearing baggy oversized stuff but that can’t be the general rule surely. Like boohoo I would size up because it’s cheap but if you consistently have to buy 24s then you’re a 24 hun.
There is no way on this planet she is as 20... when she does the hauls alll of the 24’s she orders are always skin tight

She is not a size 20. I would say I’m quite a lot smaller than her and I’m bordering a 20/22 at the minute but still in my size 18s due to stretch etc.

That’s what I was thinking. I do think she often does hauls from brands that aren’t necessarily the best quality, but even the Asos stuff she orders is too tight. I just don’t get why as a body positive blogger you wouldn’t just accept that 24 is your size and then get on with it?

What annoys me about all these ‘boPo’ influencers is there ignorance that being overweight, especially around your stomach is unhealthy. Not so much Emma but in general

Why would she say she’s a size 20 - am I missing something? She’s never once wore a size 20 or showed size 20 in all of her hauls and clothing videos?

Grace Victory is the absolute worst for this imo! I remember her reaction to Cancer Research making the link between cancer and obesity - she was spreading so much misinformation about how it’s perfectly healthy to be her size, honestly quite dangerous if she has young and impressionable fans.

That’s the one thing I will give kudos for Emma for - she doesn’t really push that agenda.

Being obese obese is NOT HEALTHY. No matter how much you want to kid yourself you are. Tess Holliday is the worst for this. She is a walking heart attack but because she can do a few squats she things she’s the picture of health. Nah duck that.

I (like a lot of you it seems) used to really like Emma and her content but her constant posing photos and videos have became too much. Eye bleeping herself in the camera everyday and posting it on Instagram.. why?! I think she and a lot of other bopo influencers get away with it more because they are working toward normalising all body shapes etc but narcissism is narcissism! Give it a rest 🙄

She just seems like she's trying too hard to be accepted by the black community. From twerking to buying wigs, talking about plucking the hairlines and laying her baby hairs... I mean, no one said you can't wear a wig if you are white, but if you look at her overall behaviour and mannerisms it's all pretty obvious

she was also discussing what “hair type” she has and how she uses shea moisture... Out of interest does this girl have any black friends?
