Since being furloughed for most of the year, I think I finally kinda get why influencers are always so tired. I do so little now that sometimes I wear myself out by lunchtime doing general life admin like cleaning or meal prepping. I'm trying to actively do more things to stop myself falling down that spiral. Maybe influencers just need a few more hobbies? (at least I hope being more active will make me feel better)
I 100% believe having little to no routine really does that to you. I get like it during my annual leave at times, especially at the moment and you cant fill your days like we used to. My ex was also self employed and was always in that mind frame too. I totally believe keeping your mind busy really really helps.

I really dont understand how shea so busy when in her weekly vlogs she litreally does nothing
T H I S

What does she do? Her weekly vlogs are so dull because she literally doesn't do anything outside of the norm, and the videos she films (as someone else stated further up) are ALL things she does during her normal day anyway like cooking or exercising... Hardly revolutionary content that requires a month's worth of filming

Speaking of, did she ever even upload her "vegan month"?

Does anyone else really struggle to relate to her weekdays (and other influencers) that often consists of a gym appointment at 10, a nail appointment and maybe a few emails. If that’s a standard working day I truly believe we’ve all ended up in the wrong profession. Imagine not having to get up at 5am to go to the gym because you have a normal job

She 100% said, it’s day two of self isolation and they’ve just got back from a little 10 minute walk and they’re lucky because there are so many walks around them.... and “it’s gets ya out the house doesn’t it”
Day 2 and she’s breached her self isolation..... wtf!!!

“I’m ready to go out and play with my friends” is she for real? She saw all her friends in December for her birthday? She has seen her parents? As far as I’m aware all she’s missed out on during lockdowns is the gym! I don’t want to make things a competition but she has been regularly going out for walks will all her friends? Like give over
She went on 2 walks with her friends like last week and then delivered them all cake and zoom calls soph once a week, emma there are poor people who havnt seen the friends or family in months !

im probably about to overshare but i look a lot more like before emma than after emma, and her behaviour with food and exercise has sparked self doubt and interpreting my habits differently. I have multiple chronic conditions that contribute to my metabolism, post exertional fatigue and chronic pain. I'll be on medication for life that all have side effects of weight gain. I can't just get up and go to the gym or on a 10k walk, a standard flare up for me looks worse than emma's tough leg day, and somehow i still feel a sense of gilt when consuming her content. I only realised this when i saw in a vlog she weighed out three grams of cheese and i pitied her at the same time as feeling judged for not counting cheese on top of pasta as an indulgence? i know relationships with food are subjective based on previous experiences, but please just eat the cheese!

There's still something that doesn't sit quite right about the idea of needing to explore being bi because you are bored of your partner, no? Sexual orientation is not just something you toy with out of boredom, it's who you are -even outside of your partner being "boring" to you, that's just a part of who you are. That doesn't mean exploring your sexuality shouldn't be fun and fluid and exploratory and exciting, quite the contrary, but "being bi" is not something you do as a quirky pass time when you're bored. (Maybe I'm being fragile about this but as a bi person I find it sorta offensive to think of sexual orientation as something being used to combat boredom)
Also - potentially exploring who you are and who and what you like is advisable at any age, no matter your relationship status.
And while I think it's obviously fair game because she decides to share so much of her relationship online, does it seem fair to speculate about how little she actually enjoys her boyfriend's presence?
This whole thing 100%, I’m bi too and to imply that we need to explore outside of our relationship to “experiment” as we’re bored is very insulting. People can simply be bored of a relationship, that’s nothing to do with someone’s sexuality.

Yeah I really do!

It's when she was talking about having to work all day on tim’s birthday - her days consist of stewing apples, working out and a bit of editing, she surely could have arranged her week to ensure all her work was done in time!
Yes! This is one of my issues. She’s has so much freedom and yet still always seems to moan about not having enough time. She doesn’t need to have a strict routine like not of us do, and yet still struggles so much with getting stuff done. I think she’s just completely clueless to how privileged she is to have so much time to spend on herself.

Not Emma getting called out for not asking if Actimel if they were doing w diverse campaign on their vegan promo when she ISN’T EVEN VEGAN 😩😂

literally all for show because she was called out for it
ouuu that line about the blackout squares. This tea chile... 🙃

Completely agree! Didn't mention it as I thought her not being vegan was trivial in comparison to the diversity issues. But yeah.. remember when the first lockdown happened and she panic bought a load of non-dairy milk and she got called out for it?

Also, apologies if my memory is failing me but has she ever brought up the topic of diversity/BLM? Ever?
She spoke about BLM and inclusion when it was at its boiling point this year. And as far as I’m aware, she hasn’t mentioned it since. TBH, (speaking for myself: black, Caribbean) I rather they live in their truth... their indifference... than force this “I’m so inclusive and WOKE!” persona that they adopt when there’s controversy.
You don’t have black friends, you don’t collab or even really interact with black creators ... so keep us out ya mouth when things get sticky.
That goes for all of the seasonal social justice warriors.

As with the walk situation she has just swept it under rug rather than address it properly. When Helen Anderson messed up with her haircut she addressed it in her next YouTube, Emma just posted a comment on her video and made a joke of it in the following vlog. It’s a big issue and a story is not enough.
I’m sorry but please don’t use Helen as a benchmark for apologies 😂 I won’t discuss her here as this isn’t her thread but her actual thread has loads of comments and evidence about her being a prick with this stuff

I think it’s probably not the fact alone that she’s getting her nails done. It’s the combination of lots of all the things she’s been doing, almost daily.

I got covid from going to a spin class.... the class had screens up between each bike, everyone is temperature checked on entry, it was all within the guidelines. I think there’s nothing wrong with doing things like this that are within the guidelines once or twice a week. We do have to live, the economy can’t fall to pieces, we can’t be locked inside forever. You just have to use all the precautions, and recognise there is always risk.

However, she was definitely pushing the limits of how many things you should do in any given week which meant she had excessive contact with others. For me it was so easy to know what gave me the exposure because it was the only exposure I had in 10 days. She likely didn’t have a clue which of the many places or people she’d been in contact with that gave her the exposure.

I’ve also stopped watching her videos. I’m in remission from anorexia and just find her lifestyle incredibly triggering to watch. I used to find her really refreshing but now she’s just become like every other ‘influencer’. I feel like ever since she started getting false nails she changed 😂

This comment made me laugh, because this sweet girl is asking for sizing help (which is never responded to by the way, typical), and based on average UK size 8 measurements and the Gym Shark size guide, this commenter should get a small. But, she rightly makes the point that she clearly weighs less and is smaller than Emma, and so is now wondering if she should get an XS.

Girl, you don't need an XS, you need a S... Emma needs a M. She is shoving herself into a S cause she is obsessed with wanting to be smaller.

I'm a medium, across the board in everything and I'm a 10/12, but I could like squeeze myself into a S in gym clothes because they are elasticated, but would they fit right and be comfortable, probably not.

This absolute narc needs to get into some clothes that fit and stop inadvertently shaming M/L/XL/XXL people in the process.

'im counting my lipsticks as something to do' 'sorry guys no upload tonight' she's not doing herself many favours if she's looking to grow her channel??
it really winds me up that she has such weird excuses for not uploading 😅 it’s rarely like a legit reason either, it’s always spin classes or filming something else or whatever, considering how much she says she wants to be consistent and everything you think she’d have some kind of working schedule, I’m sure a lot of YouTubers have one😂
