Serious question: is Emma Tony's carer? I can't think who else she could be caring for. She doesn't seem to be in contact with anyone else aside from her dad, but she doesn't see him very often.

Am I stupid? Probably but I thought the point of the alarm clocks was to be near your face as you wake up for a natural sunrise not the other end of the room of some scruffy drawers?
Yup, you're right. They don't work any further away than that.

(I've got EXACTLY the same model. Has to be right by you.)

I had laser eye surgery in 2006 because I felt hideously unattractive with glasses. I paid £3k and although it is one of the best things I have ever done (for sight purposes) it didn't raise my self esteem as much as I expected it would. In fact, once I discovered I could see properly I became fixated on my eye bags which had obviously been hidden by glasses!!! Once you have something fixed, you just find something else about yourself to dislike.
Exactly. I’ve worn glasses for the past 30 years. I often wish I didn’t have them, but they are such a part of me now.

Didn't Toe-Knee injure his back working at Sainsbury's? I hope that's not what they're milking carer's allowance for. I imagine it's her dad but she never really sees him so....

"How do people who are carers for family members like how do you actually do it? Because I have just got off the phone with this person's doctor and you can just see like I'm so close to tears."

From the way she worded it it made it sound like she is not a carer or doesn't class herself as such. Or perhaps not the person in questions carer. But if she is speaking to someone's doctor, even just speaking to a receptionist about a patient she would need permission to do so and it would be marked on their system. I imagine she would only have that for her Dad.

But way to make it all about yourself Emma.

Maybe it was a you need to pull your weight and do some more actual caring phone call.

I always thought it is Tony that she cares for. Or maybe he is the carer for her and she just keeps up to date on all the boxes she needs to tick so he can keep claiming it.

I’m now wondering about the possibility that they don’t live alone and there’s someone in a rocking chair in the spare bedroom or chained to a bed in the attic. They go quiet when they hear the unmistakable waddling sounds coming near. They live on liquids and putrid-looking blends that she gives them, whilst pretending she’s had a tummy tuck and it’s all for her. Treeko guards the door, looking like a Dictator. The captives’ weekly pension is used to pay the freaky twins’ mortgage. In the background, Tony continues to paint his little figures.

I may go to bed now.

The bingo is fantastic. All that needs to be added is “I only managed two bites.” And a picture of chewed up food. 🤢

If we have another board I need passive income, twenty cogs, apology for unbrushed hair, having to answer more than 6 emails, playing animal crossing. I am already missing Treeko watching the fish video.

I thought it was difficult to claim carers allowance. She's definitely not actively/ physically caring for someone in her life.

Toeknee touchie probably. I know I’ll get flamed for this and it is not, I repeat not, because he plays warhammer dolls and wears odd T-shirt’s, but he reminds me very much of someone I know who is aspergic, although very high functioning so has a job in a shop and lives more or less independently but still does need some support and so is able to claim DLA (or whatever it’s called these days).

The way we see him act on stories and lives, the way he acts in vlogs, the lack of a job, the lack of much social interaction outside the home, the inappropriate comments, the lack of picking up on social cues (for example when Emma has to tell him off for getting all up in ya gurls grill), the lack of empathy for other people such as children making noise or women with prams, the obsessive interest around a particular item or hobby (in his case warhammer) and more generally, his blank stare/ expressionless face when he’s sat behind Emma on vlogs would all indicate Aspergers. But of course, we only see what Emma shows us and even that is only a snapshot of the ‘best of’ their day.

Before everyone comes for me, this is not a criticism of him. I don’t care if this is armchair diagnosing, it’s just a theory about the ongoing carers allowance mentioned here a lot!
