I’ve just been away on holiday for a week and I didn’t even let my 12yr old go in the pool without me watching her from the loungers. She can swim (isn’t the strongest but she can swim). If something happened to her in the water I could have got in there in less than 15 seconds. There was also a lifeguard too. It’s probably overkill but I spent several years growing up in Australia when I was a kid, and pool/water safety is something that is seriously drilled in to you over there. I’m sure it’s the same where Emilie lives. For anyone to act so ignorant about water safety when they would have had it explained to them a million times is criminal.

Wouldn't let my pretty responsible 7 year old outside with a pool on his own no way
My parents have a 12ft free standing pool. My 10 year old & 8 year can stand in it. If there’s no adult outside they aren’t allowed outside. In the summer was only us 3 I needed to go for a wee so it’s out the pool while mummy goes inside for 2 mins. I do not mess with water

This might sound weird .. but do you think shes been hypnotised??
I know theres a type of therapy that does something like that! I’ve probably got the word for it wrong.
There has to be a reason how shes so “normal” she CANNOT truly believe it was unavoidable and an accident.
I know we only see a snippet of their time like these influencers like to remind us (bollox they have the cameras rolling 24/7) but she just seems to be getting on with life which i know you would have to do maybe years down the line … Teddy is a baby so not like she has to be up and our for school runs etc for him.
I dont know i just dont get it (thankfully)

exactly how it should be - even strong swimmers can get into difficulty in seconds. I'll never be able to fathom why Emilie and Brady were SO lax with pool safety, not even bothering to pull the covers on at the end of the night.

to be honest it’s more likely she’s on prescribed benzodiazepines

She said in a comment shes not on meds!
Yup and it sounds like she’s very proud of it. Being on meds would mean acknowledging something traumatic happened to her. With Emilie it’s just business as usual.

2 weeks ago she was saying she will never film her kids again…she’s already showing his hand, how long before we see his full face?

You can tell she’s just ITCHING to put him on screen. She will, for sure. She’s moved on from all that awkward messy ‘death of first born’ thing now and she’s a different person to the one who said she would be more cautious in future. Come summertime we’ll see her launching him into the pool his brother drowned in, you mark my words.

When she posted yesterday ‘can’t wait to get the Halloween decs down’ I thought it would end with ‘because it reminds me of my loss’ but no it was to deep clean the house?

I’m convinced she’s just didn’t have a strong attachment to trigg, it’s the only thing that makes sense

There are people who have kids because that's what one does (or so they think), whilst they have no capability to care or love others. I lean towards Emilie not loving nor caring about anyone other than herself. It aligns with her behaviour. I don't think Trigg's death will hit her later on, (as some people believe). A little boy lost his life because of two people who didn't protect him fully, were lax on safety & seem to focus on money first & foremost.

I didn’t know of her until Trigg passed away. I was genuinely shocked when her videos came up on my FYP & she was so cheerful, laughing etc. I had to check the date on the videos as I thought they were before Trigg passed away - but they were recent - just months after. I would never judge a grieving mother…but my goodness…I can’t make sense of it.

I think she is probably so immature and doesn’t have the emotional intelligence to fully grasp the severity of what happened. Of course she knows T died and what that means, but I don’t think she is mature enough to sit with that and actually process that and the events around that. She’s basically treating it like she had a minor ding in a supermarket car park which was her fault and is like “oops soz” to the insurance company.

I wonder what she’s having done to the garden (she mentioned landscapers were in) maybe she’s moving everything around so it’s different from when Trigg used to play in it. I couldn’t imagine sitting on the patio looking out at that pool. 🙁

Yeah, I wondered if she was having it filled in and getting another one dug. That’s a lot of expense when you could just… move house. She never shows the back garden so it makes you wonder, but then they also got that post-Trigg pool fence fitted and why would you bother if you’re getting the pool removed.
I think you’re probably right that she’s getting the garden reconfigured, maybe putting some greenery or levelling in to hide the non-aesthetic fencing. Plus a giant secure play-pen and kennel for Teddy so he can roam around safely whilst they live their lives in their perfect house.

I don’t think I’ve ever commented on here but like a few of you, I hadn’t heard of her until I saw the tragic news that Trigg had drowned but as a mother of 2 (2.5 year old and 8 week old) I just cannot fathom her “morning routine” videos etc. I’d rather be dead myself than put a camera up and film myself making breakfast, doing laundry, tidying etc just a few months after my toddler had died. Everything would remind me of that poor baby, I genuinely don’t know how I would carry on. I saw some of her previous videos where he would help feed the dogs in the morning etc and seeing her film herself doing this I’m like surely she’s thinking he should be here with me doing this. I genuinely don’t think I could carry on if I lost one of my children. Let alone get back to my “influencer” job. In fact, I couldn’t ever return to that house. I can’t imagine sitting with a view of the pool that my son drowned in by accident let alone due to negligence of my own doing/my husbands doing. I honestly don’t think she’ll “crash” like a lot of you think, I think she’ll live forever in a state of denial that it was anything more than a freak accident. I grew up with a pool (rare in England I know) but that pool cover was across at all times unless there was an adult actually in the pool with us as kids. I remember moaning that I wasn’t allowed in to swim on my own, I must have been 7 or 8 and I was confident swimmer but no way would my parents allow it and thank god for that. I have family in Miami and their pools have alarmed fences around them. It doesn’t look pretty but it keeps their kids safe and that’s the absolute goal when you have children, to keep them safe from harm. I find it really hard to have sympathy for her when she’s laughing and joking on camera, taking selfies of her outfits etc. it’s a very very weird dynamic. As for her husband, he’d be out of the door so fast his feet wouldn’t touch the ground if my child died on his watch. It’s truly devastating because this was SO preventable. May that sweet boy rest in peace x

I agree, I think they‘ve both convinced themselves they are victims. I think she gets off on people telling her how brave and strong she is.
As a viewer it feels incredibly jarring and upsetting to see her waking up without that little boy bouncing around, feeding the dogs etc. It is hard to fathom how she edits those videos and watches them multiple times and doesn’t feel that same thing given he was her actual son. So the question I suppose is ‘does she?’, and if she does then how is any money worth feeling that feeling over and over again.
It is baffling.

Apologies if this has already been addressed here but has she mentioned the pool at all or why they are choosing to stay in the house her son drowned in? I cannot bring myself to watch any of her content as I had already found her insufferable before the tragedy happened and always found there to be something ‘off’ about her from the snippets I had seen before.

What im seeing so far in content of hers that’s popping up since she’s hopped back online is they are still in the same home and it doesn’t look like they are moving any time soon. Maybe its just me but i couldn’t bring myself to continue living life as normal in that house and with the pool in view each day… wild

As everyone has said staying in the house would be difficult for any normal grieving parent but the fact she’s filming her morning routines as if nothing has happened is hard to comprehend.

My sister lost her husband to cancer, he was unwell for a few days at home, went into hospital, was diagnosed and passed 2 days later (this all happened within a week so quite sudden and he was only 30) she never returned to the house. Even though he didn’t pass there, there were just too many reminders! She stayed with relatives and eventually sold the house.

I know we can’t say for sure what we would all do in Emilies situation but I know for a fact I wouldn’t be on instagram acting like everything was normal!

Dont be daft, as IF she’d move out - that would mean having to give up the plate wall and the perfectly executed laundry room.
