I think probably the reason she has stayed with Brady is because she knows they were both negligent when it came to pool safety. The law in Arizona I believe is either a net or a fence must be installed and they did have a net, but it wasn't on when Trigg sadly passed away. Emilie probably knows this incident could have just as easily happened with her looking after Trigg. I bet both of them let Trigg out in the garden all the time without the pool cover on. They just never thought anything like this would happen.
Not even thinking that a young child playing near an open pool is really bad parenting. My daughter is 7 and my anxiety is still always sky high when we are on holiday and have a pool. For them to not even be slightly worried is concerning

I've watched some of her earlier content over the weekend and am starting to wonder if she's a bit of a vacant space to be honest. She may have made a lot of money entirely off the back of her looks, but it's hardly rocket science slathering a load of creams over your face to promote them or cleaning your floors/folding your laundry. It's mind boggling really that she's got the following that she has. It genuinely scares me for the future generations that these are the people that they aspire to me.

This is exactly what I thought too, they were in a false sense of security as they’d obviously drummed into Trigg that he shouldn’t get into the pool by himself and bless him, he did as he was told but most people would also factor falling in the pool by accident as a risk too. The way he used to ride his bike round the pool so close to the edge really jangled my nerves. They knew he was an obedient little boy but he was still just a vulnerable baby who shouldn’t have been anywhere without supervision.

I'd say American Doctors hand out pills like smarties... look at the addiction rates in the US.

I agree completely. They were very complacent about pool safety, because Trigg was a really good kid who obeyed instruction and generally one or both of them had half an eye on him at all times. They never even contemplated that he could fall in and not know what to do and not be able to survive. I think they are just both dim, to be honest, because as a parent how do you not imagine every possible horrific scenario and then cover your bases.

massive open pool, tiny child, no eyes on him, it was a recipe for disaster and they’re both to blame so I completely understand why they are still together. I don’t know how they stay in that house though, looking out at that pool. I’d rather be in a 1-bed apartment and I’d rent the house out.

What happened is utterly tragic and a complete waste of a life that could have been so easily avoided. Even though I feel Emilie is partly to blame, I do feel it’s mostly the husband’s fault as he was meant to be watching him at the time. If I was Emilie there’s no way I could ever be in that house again or be with Brady, there’s no coming back from something like that. How do you ever move past that as a couple? I’m genuinely baffled.

Would you leave him alone with the youngest as well? You wouldn't be able to would you

I was going to say the same, how would you ever trust him to be 1 to 1 with the baby. And know that your precious child died because he was too absorbed in a bet he'd placed. Unforgivable.

Probably the reason she hasn’t left him to be honest. She can’t bear to be away from the youngest and leave him alone with Brady 50% of the time.

Yes I was thinking this. I’d like to think he would be so scarred from what happened before he would be so careful with the baby, but you never know. Of course accidents happen and you can’t watch a child every second of every day. But the majority of us haven’t had a child die in our care due to our poor judgement.

I thought shed been referencing Trigg.. there's another instagrammer her son died a mirror fell on him she mentions him in almost every post
And she has used her platform to spread awareness of the dangers, all whilst this vacuous specimen posts things like 'Happy Monday'.

I think that is what is so jarring. She has come back in such a vacuous and superficial way. On about feeling ‘good’ and preoccupied by stupid crap that doesn’t matter. No one expects her to be in a ball on the bed still in the depths of despair as that would not be healthy or good for her. But it’s seeing the true superficiality and materialism of her life play out a few months after losing her son that people find remarkable. I don’t know, it’s a bit gross. I don’t think I could care about such trivial bs after such a huge loss. Again, she could be doing all these things behind the scenes as could many other grieving mothers and we would not know. But as she chooses to broadcast her life in the aftermath then people will naturally comment on it.

It’s tricky… I don’t think there is a right or wrong way to navigate through something as awful as this. If she didn’t come back on social media or came back and just posted about what happened, she would be slammed for that. If she comes back and posts “happy Monday clean my house with me” content, she would be slammed for that too. I don’t think she can actually win.

I guess she just has to do what feels most appropriate for her, and she said she missed coming on TikTok and talking to people so that’s why she’s done it. I can understand craving a bit of normality in what I’m sure has been a horrific few months.

Personally, if I was Emilie then I would have asked for a divorce from Brady, sold the house and moved to another area and taken my life offline. I would also insist on supervised contact for Brady with the baby.

My 35 year old sister doesn’t even have children but she has a almost 12 year old dog who she treats like a child and it’s a running joke in our family that she will need to be sectioned when he dies and how we would cope with her.

If you didn’t know EK story and just watched her for the first time you wouldn’t believe her son died less than 6 months ago. I think it’s worse because of the circumstances around how he died he didn’t have an illness or a terrible accident.
I don’t know how she can even still live in that house and see the pool every day without losing her mind. 😭

It’s so difficult. These moments we’re seeing her could be the only good moments she’s having all week. We’re not seeing the full picture. However, like you say if someone came across her videos you would never known the absolutely tragedy that happened a few months ago and soemthing about that doesn’t sit right with me either.
