I think she is slipping into some old habits/coping mechanisms.
The ‘dancing’ she’s doing on tik tok isn’t dancing.
I hope she can scoop herself up from this before it gets too far. She’s come such a long way.

I've been watching her for a while and I did really enjoy her vlogs until a couple of months ago. Something doesn't sit right with me when someone keeps posting videos about being in "real recovery" but aren't gaining nearly enough weight.
I can tell she's gained a bit of weight since she started her channel in November but even now, she still seems to be severely underweight, 8 months later.

I just hope she will continue fighting and gaining weight despite what's happening with her mum.

I really like her two channels and I think she has been very open and honest about her journey. And families are not eternally patient with an eating disorder so I think showing them warts and all was really healthy. I think she has real talent as a video storyteller and it would be great to see her move on to college/uni like her siblings.

She does seem very obsessed with exercise, maybe a bit too much. But it's quite common for recovering anorexics to become obsessed with the gym, because gaining muscle is easier for them to cope with than normal weight.

I can't help but notice she seems to have lost a bit of weight recently.. hopefully it's just balancing out from her initial recovery weight gain and not due to any restriction.

I don’t think she’s 100%. I think she’s trying to convince herself she is (and her followers). She does not eat as much - in some of her videos she has said she’s been too sad and hasn’t eaten much.

I think that’s a little mean if I’m honest and I think it’s more that she hasn’t matured emotionally in the same way her sisters have. We mustn’t forget her anorexia stole many many years of her life where she was basically trapped in that mind set. She wasn’t able to develop mentally or have those experiences that shape you as you grow from a teenager to an adult. She relied hugely on her mum almost like she was in a childlike state. With time I think she’ll find her feet. I wonder if she will go to uni or get a little job? I hope she can claim back some of those years she missed

I think she's done amazingly too, but she is in a very fortunate position. Very wealthy supportive family, lots of lovely food and experiences, live in a gorgeous part of the UK, no responsibilities. All these things don't cure mental health issues but they certainly put her in a good position to.

I've never had issues with an ED but several friends have, and they say it will always be with them in some form or another.

I think as sweet as she is, Elzani is quite stunted in development. Right now she's living like a teenager and couldn't care less. I think her mum enables her but I understand how anxious she must be after almost losing her. I wonder what her sisters really think of it all.
definitely agree she is very privileged with her upbringing and having such a supportive family. What I always liked about her was how grateful she was of that. She definitely knows she is privileged, she always used to gush over how amazing her parents were. She is a very sweet and kind girl and I certainly think she appreciates everything she has

I really hope shes ok ive followed her since the start when i was also struggling with my ED. Heart break is awful and i feel like because of her ED she missed out on going through these things when she was younger so they are happening to her when shes just got to a good place.

Ben seems to be still liking her posts tho which I do not think is helpful on his part

Totally agree, she's absolutely amazing in her commitment to recovery but a break up can really bring back old coping strategies 😕

she’s not an influencer really but wasn’t sure where to create a thread. I’m just wondering if anyone else watches her? She’s trying to beat anorexia right now and her videos are sad and frustrating but also a real eye opener into the world of eating disorders.

I’ve just seen that she’s posted a video sharing that her mum has breast cancer. I’m so sad for her and her family. If you watch her videos you will know how supportive her mum is I hope she can beat this and I hope elzani can overcome her eating disorder.

This seems so dangerous. Yes she has lived experience but does she actually have the right qualifications to be “coaching” people on something so serious? Would she have the right insurance in place if it went wrong?
I can't even describe to you how angry seeing this made me feel.

She just has a very school yard humour imo, but I don't see her being 'not all there' or anything like that. She was sick and it crippled her, I'm sure it wasn't so easy being social constantly thinking of what people are going to say weight wise/food wise etc, I actually find her funny when she's not worrying about Anorexia, and so very nice to ppl around her.

how old is she again? 26? She seems like she’s behind most people her age. She’s lost a lot of years with her ED. Makes me feel sympathetic for her. Life moves on when you’re sick and I suppose she’s trying to catch up.
I do believe she’s struggling and not as recovered as she has us believing.
