Their situation is incredibly different to the everyday person, surely you can see that?
Most people have a 9-5 job, or shift work that still has some routine to it. Being a DJ clearly does not fit into that realm.

Tbh his profession is number one. How else will they afford their life ? It’s no different to any other household where one person (most commonly the man) takes short time off when baby arrives. and then returns to work to earn an income whilst the primary care taker (usually the woman) stays at home to care for the child in the immediate term.
His career and earning potential have an expiry date.
