So Elle has vloggers block.... Never thought id see the day. Let me give you a few ideas... a q&a, day in the life with a newborn, day in the life as a first time mum, dealing with acid reflux, ANYTHING.
Shes acting like she cant think of anything although she has done nothing. I completely agree with the comment above, the lack of content has to be due to the raw reality of what motherhood is, how they may be coping as new parents and in their relationship etc. Saint is 4 weeks old and so far all we have seen is the birth and his name reveal, I understand if shes not feeling up to uploading at the moment, I don't blame her, but stop acting as if you have no ideas on what to post. The angels definitely expected to be more involved.
I think Elle and Connor are really trying to find themselves at the moment. I could see this coming, they had absolutely no idea what was ahead of them.

She probably realises how meaningless and stupid it is now that shes a mother but will have to do this job she hates everyday to keep up with the lifestyle. I am intrigued that LJC hasn’t once posted a picture of triple S - wonder if she’s asked people not to share anything? Esp as she’s said a few times she’s been around her sisters a lot (which says to me she’s not taken to mother hood as dreamily as she first predicted (which is fine before anyone jumps down my throat)

Definitely think she’s had a wake up call and wants to possibly try and keep him away after seeing how her “angels” reacted when he was born with the accounts for him and printing photos of him.. it’s weird behaviour, and maybe she’s not comfortable putting him out there

I think she thought they'd literally carry on as they were except with the baby car seat over her arm in posed insta photos like a handbag. So like driving an hour to a country pub, or to the coast. A day out though involves packing enough for a weekend away and doing it on no sleep.

I'm interested that she doesn't seem to have just gone round to see Lucy and sit with her and her kids for a bit for help and a change of scenery. Guess having a baby in the school holidays when Lucy is doing sponsored jollies to Legoland was bad timing...

Pre-pregnancy it was always “you guys are my best friends in the whole world and I love you all so much and you know I share everything with you because we are best friends”. We’ve seen during pregnancy and post-birth just how practically psychotic these “angels” are and how invested they are in her life. Their best friend Elle Darby, their internet big sister now isn’t sharing what they all thought they were going to get from her and have been so used to getting from her - an insight into her life bar the Instagram pics she shared.

It’s of course Elle’s prerogative to change and control what she shares, however when you’ve built an almost cult following through making out to your angels that you love them so much, shared so much with them, you unintentionally create a level of expectation to continue that. Her income and success depends on her angels remaining loyal to her even if she doesn’t give them as much of her life as they are used to and want her to.

Changing her demographic to more mum focused will worry her as she’ll be concerned she won’t retain such a loyal and constant following and engagement that the brainwashed angels have given her up until now. You won’t get many mums sitting counting down the minutes until Elle Darby’s next upload like the angels do currently.

The novelty of the baby will wear off for the angles if it’s all just baby content Elle shifts to doing if they can’t relate to her. However, if she wants to do content that’s more authentic to her life now then she’ll have to take the risk of her angel gals not tagging along for the mummy blogger ride and take a potential hit in subscribers or views.

Not a fan of the girl and I know Im being soft but hope she's doing ok mentally and finds herself again soon. Although we will be sick with trout pout selfies , its such a huge change.. its surreal and its alot more common to struggle afterwards than you think. The lack of content or much social activity really isn't like her. Can you imagine having to worry about what strange people want to see from you and your family while you're in the trenches of postpartum..

I get what you’re saying, but she chose this life. She chose to put herself out there online and to make money that way rather than the normal way. She could give it all up now and go back to a normal job, but she wouldn’t, because the money she makes is far more than what she would in another job.

I get that but I found being around people who knew babies and could easily take them off me for a change or a burp to be really comforting! And Lucy nearly has a 5 a side team.

Gotta say if I was 25 and making bank as an influencer shilling a young loaded couple's lifestyle (detached house, posh car, expensive loungewear), I wouldn't have had a baby yet.

Edit - That sounds a bit harsh, sorry, but there are definitely others having their first where I'm pretty sure they're either 30 or close to 30 and have got about 10 years out of vlogging.

Absolutely. She totally underestimated how much a baby changes your life and anyone that says, first time around, they didn’t have a moment where they grieved for their old life or think ‘what have I done, I don’t know if I’m cut out for this’ is a liar. But with time you find your feet and you settle into it, and that will happen for her too. So I don’t judge Elle for struggling at this point but yeah, don’t pretend it’s all down to not knowing what to post. Of course, as others have mentioned, there’s also definitely an element of trying to gauge how much of day-to-day motherhood to show in her content now. And the difficulty is that motherhood takes over your life - it is all consuming - and she will find it harder to create content that doesn’t reflect that. So I think it’s inevitable that she will go down the same path as her sister - mum/lifestyle content with a dash of fashion/beauty/home thrown in for good measure.

I definitely think she’s realised if she goes down the mummy vlogger route she will alienate most of her young audience, I men’s they’re not going to be interested in ‘what’s in my changing bag’ and ‘newborn routine’ videos for long. I think she’s probably also seen the poor, repetitive content Jarys are creating and is having second thoughts about endless ‘day/week in the life’ vlogs as she knows she will haemorrhage viewers as they’re boring AF

I can see her channel dying tbh. Everyone used to love the Katie vlogs, christmas vlogs and when she would do massive hauls in primark or b&m (they are the most viewed).

The angles won’t want to watch day in the life of a newborn every single week. The baby is too young to do proper days out like the zoo etc, it will be another year until she can milk the beach trips with baby boy or tit along those lines. What is she going to do for the next year because I can assure you no one is sticking around to watch her lie on the sofa feeding a baby all day
